This application is terrible. My KYC hasn't been approved for weeks. Transactions and trade orders are incredibly slow. I am withrawing my money right now and i hope i will never come back.

I made a fiat deposit on 12th April and it is still pending til today(27th April ; #318059). The reply from the help center is quick, but they just saying "Once we received their reply, we will keep you updated." repeatedly.

I recommend do not deposit USD to Bitfinex.

Withdrawal processing since ages and support not answering. They suddenly want my private documents which I don't want to send due to very bad expierences in the past. Only getting automated responses, nothing else.
Beware, you will need a lot of your time to get your OWN funds out of this exchange. Really scared right now that they stole my funds. Never had these kinds of problems at Hitbtc and Okex.

If the problem gets settled, I will delete my review.

After reading several stories of other people who got scammed this way it seems that this is what they do. They ask for an unbelievable amount of documentation and KYC documents because they know that it's impossible everybody will be able to provide this. Then they can keep the funds. I am still in contact with them and will update accordingly.
The withdrawal department told me that my withdrawals will be done, even after I told them that I got contacted by compliance. You literally get lied to here so that they can keep your funds.

Since a while I'm using Bitfinex. For me a trustworthy custodail crypto exchange with a great customer service. Thank you!

All your signifcant marginal trade bets you're gonna loose with this exchange!
Never use marginal trade as BF has algorithms to bet against your open postions until the margin call. Just check XRP from Nov '20 till Jan'21. That's how they do it!

Support center is very good. Everytime i got a problem, they help me very fast. I experienced so many withdrawals issue in some exchanger. Usually they work so slow to fix it. But bitfinex support team is so effective,

Really fast and effective support from Bitfinex. I had a problem receiving e-mail notifications because of an outdated PGP setup and they found the problem in a fast and very precise way, offering valid alternatives for a solution. This is how support is supossed to work, even on a Sunday night.

I am agree, they've been hacked and now the only concern is security. There is no minimum effort into customer experience, there is layer after layer, after layer on top of another layer of security. They require to upload pictures with your signature, date, note, family, neighbour and so on. Absolutely obbsesed with security. There is no customer experience in this context. There is a fact that if opened account on desktop there is no chance what so ever to sinchronize with the app. How ridiculous is that!

I like this company, I wrote an email to them asking a question. Within one hour, I got the answer email from them which is very impressive! Thank you guys!

Despite the attacks from trolls, hackers, even governments; this exchange has stood the test of time. One of the things needed for trust to be built is time. This exchange has successfully won every fight that is thrown its way and still keeps on being one of the most reliable exchanges to trade on. Others are down due to huge volatily and Bitfinex is still up and running smoothly. They stand out from among the rest.

Amazing experience with Bitfinex's Customer Service. Last year I got my account hacked, I emailed Bitfinex on a Saturday evening, they blocked my account and suspended all pending trades within 3 minutes (this way, the hacker couldn't withdraw all my coins). Today I emailed them about an issue with my 2FA, they replied in 2 minutes. They are doing a great job, I really feel taken care of!

Don't bother, your money and crypto is NOT safe with Bitfinex.

If you ever get in a situation where you need to reclaim your crypto or get it back, they just refuse to help, especially if it's under $2500, they don't bother.

Literally held crypto for over 3 years, for it to only be lost due to a small minor change which an average user would not be aware of.

Spoke to the mods of the coin and they said it was definitely recoverable, but Bitfinex refuse to even bother to help.

Seriously, don't bother - go somewhere where the customer support help you out.
