It annoys me to see so many fake reviews here. Bitfinex are doing such a great job for the crypto space and their platform is second to none. No scam wicks like other exchanges and liquidity is next level. One of the best exchanges out there

Scam , i try to withdraw 50$ btc and the fees take me half of my money

Only gave 1 star because I couldn't take any away for a negative rating....which is exactly what they did all the way up to $500 dollars fee after fee....after I even asked twice if there were anymore fee's....finally when $500 dollars was reached my account was deleted....but for another $50 it can be reinstated....biggest bunch of strong armed crooks i ever dealt with...there constant response was just pay the fee so the profits can start.....lies bullpoop

Let me trade until I made money, then seized all funds until I provided a ton of proof of address. When I did they no longer responded and just kept my money.

delayed withdrawal without a valid reason. I think I provide them with enough documents to make a withdrawal without any problem, and this is possible on other exchanges, but not on Bitfinex. if you do not want problems, then I strongly do not recommend using

I would like to point out my experience with this platform, initially I was happy until I discovered other more professional and user friendly exchanges. The reason for my 1 star review is because lately I was holding a cryptocurrency inside bitfinex and now like a magic they are gone. I contacted support and I have to say they replied right away, explaining that that cryptocurrency (Universa UTN) was delisted from their platform, so my coins got lost. Worth about $ 30 ... I know the blockchain system and coins don't just magically disappear. Evidently they have decided to close support for this cryptocurrency and have set a time limit for the withdrawal, keeping out those who cannot follow their daily news and I wonder how many like me have lost their coins and how many bitfinex has earned. I will close my account to avoid other such losses. Not recommended.

They suddenly delist cryptos and don't even give people a chance to trade them to something they can take out of their Bitfinex wallet. Customer service is not very helpful either. I'd say stay away, there's already enough risk associated with Cryptocurrecy, you wouldn't want added risk because of Bitfinex. The user interface is also far inferior to their counterparts such as Coinbase and Ndax.

In the middle of November I deposited several tokens and alt coins in the Bitfinex exchange. Without even sending me an email ( they only published an information within their exchange ) they delisted several coins giving only 15 days to be able to withdraw them ( as if each person had to check daily what they decide to do, absurd !). Moral of the story, without having been informed, I found myself without my tokens in my wallet, in my opinion a real theft.
I intend to take legal action against Bitfinex and I recommend you not to use an exchange that does not safeguard the assets of its customers.

I would stay far away from Bitfinex, I've traded on the website for years and I've been stopped out multiple times by scam wicks. Most specifically today, They shot XRP prices up 17% for a split second to stop out / liquidate traders, meanwhile not a single other exchange had any sort of increase in price. 17%!!!!! Absolute market manipulation to screw over their traders. I have moved all of my money from the exchange and refuse to ever trade there again.

I'm not able to login into my mobile device and into my laptop as well as my father who isn't able to login. He receives an error that the ip adress isn't right, well he got a new laptop... and I forgot my password, but I never received any link.. And I can't login into my mobile because there is an API, but for the API, I need to login, but I can't because I forgot my password.. Because of tooo much security, we are totally locked out of our OWN account.

My father received an immediate reply from Bitfinex to solve his issue. However, I still haven't received any e-mail regarding my password reset.....

I am concerned that I have not been able to get my money out of this platform as I apparently failed KYC, I have sent in three different ID’s , pictures holding up signs and utility bill, now they want proof of my funds that have been on there platform since 2017, clearer pics from my iphone 12, and a reason why they cannot find my house on a map. We require 6 megapixel. When you send photos via something like WhatsApp, it compresses the file and reduces the quality, no matter how high quality the original device you took it with. That is why I asked that you resend the photos at 6 megapixels quality. Please do resend your ID and selfie at the required 6 megapixels.

reply: you want selfies, how do you think I take the picture and then send it to my computer. I use whatsapp to send it to myself on desktop client, this is an iphone 12, hello!

Can you explain why a renewal would have a 16 year period of validity versus the normal 6 or 10 years normally given in the Dominican Republic?

Reply: Since you guys seem to have an issue with my pass passport renewal extension, I have submitted a DL therefore you now have two ID’s as required to replace the passport

Thank you for letting us know your funds came from LocalBitcoins, but can you explain how you funded these purchases? Do you have a salary, or savings, used to purchase the crypto? If so, please provide evidence.

reply : this was purchased from localbitcoins and I will not jump through all these hoops, cancel my kyc that I did not even want yet was forced to kyc after trying to exit my derivative trade and being told after the fact that I cannot use derivatives without kyc, yet I opened a trade without the kyc and now I cant close it.

I've been with Bitfinex for a long time and have complete trust in the team. Yes, they have been hacked but honoured all lost assets and came through it strong and with a loyal customer base. Now the lending platform is automated why would you use anyone else? Great job here, love Lending Pro. Brilliant product and way more advanced than any exchange.

They put a competition with ultra.io and claim that players can win 25K USD I read the rules of the competition, I put 3500 USD (about 8.7 million volume of UOS trading) of my 5500 USD in fees to win the competition and they rewarded me with 900 USD instead of 10K USD for the first place. They set arbitrarily the final board of the competition to give win to their influent partner and put them at 1st place. I talked to some of other players and figured out the bitfinex final board make nonsense. I can't do anything even after few claiming.. I will leave it soon
I've already contacted the support, they have no response for me.. Why don't they just show the total volume of each player next to they nickname on the final board? Nobody knows but now we know.

PS: It's a good place to trade but don't ever participate with one of their competition, you will never win even if you get strong evidences.

I have deposited $40+ on bitfinex last sept 27 using etc and it is stated there that deposits will reflect after 5000 confirmations. 5k confirmations and still nothing. I wrote an email to bitfinex support and they said need 80k+ confirmations. And until now 14 days and 93k+ confirmations, my deposit is not reflected. I would say they will trick you with those deposit confirmations and let you wait and hope until it's hopeless. Bitfinex is a scam, I cant believe a trading platform would just bite on a $42 worth of crypto deposit. I suggest anyone I mean anyone do not deposit on bitfinex. Bitfinex is a trash thief platform.

Update: I already wrote the Cs and same as usual replies until yesterday they told me to ban my account. My question is Why BAN? So you can get out of it clean and keep my funds? Then bitfinex do what you have to do, atleast people will know how you treat your clients. I have screenshots.

Bitfinex has protection systems, that after changing your password, three days long you can´t take out money.

Account was hacked - and with another way all my money stolen.

So Bitfinex security system is NOTHING worth!

Been using them for years with no problems. One of the better UI's available.
