Terrible service

My power meter order didn't arrive for months, and despite constant chasing, communication was poor. Worst of all, I ended up £40+ out of pocket for the privilege.

I have contacted Bike Swanky multiple times now for a refund but they don't respond.

Unacceptable.

Mr Allen,
You have been refunded in full for the items that you ordered.
Membership is a 12 month contract and, as was fully explained, is not able to be cancelled as it is a commitment between both of us for 12 months.

We have responded to you on multiple occasions, it is simply that you do not like the response. The answer on multiple occasions has been no and it remains so.

Furthermore, you have attempted to blackmail us by threatening to spread derisive remarks about us on forums in the cycling world.
Blackmail is unacceptable and does not result in a desired outcome.

As someone who has abused their Membership, we have cancelled it and have no intention of having any further dealings with you.

We wish you well in your cycling and sincerely hope that you behave in a more appropriate manner in your dealings with other businesses.

Great store with a personal touch, but email communication needs fixed

Bought SRAM eTap from Bike Swanky in January '17 and the rear derailleur failed at random a month later. Was a big worried about them being an independent and slacking on this but Swanky were on it fast. I had a replacement RD 8 days later. Nice turnaround considering there's three parties involved.

You only really know how decent a place is when you have an issue and it needs sorted. Anyone can sell stuff, but service is a test of character.

They have problems with email communications. I've never once been able to get a reply from them by email, they definitely need to look into what's causing it.

Regardless, they always pick up fast if you call, so no worries. Always friendly and clearly they're trying to break the mould. Hope they succeed. Will check back when making a big purchase before hitting the major guys.

Better communication in despatch

Great service but I was unsure when to expect delivery. A quick email once put in the post would have cleared this up. Really great response when I phoned though gives me confidence to buy kit again from Bike Swanky.

Great bike, great service

My 6.5 yr old son had grown out of his and needed a new bike.
Bike Swanky showed me all their options and the Orbea MX24 Team was the perfect ride for him to grow into.
Awesome bike + awesome service = Happy kid.

Is it new or secondhand?

While happy with my purchase of a Stanton Switchback Ti Frame (Mark 1), it would have made the transaction much smoother if the advertisement on the Swanky website made it clear that it was an ex demo and therefore used frame. This made for a somewhat uncomfortable shall I/shan't I part with my money conversation when I went to collect the frame.
However the bike is awesome and I'm now over the slight scuffs that the frame had.

But was slightly let down by the fact no update was provided in terms of shipping. It would be nice if you were to email when it was shipped with the tracking code.

Great Service

Purchaing my new bike for next years season was a pleasure. The team sorted me out a full bike fit and also managed to get the bike built and ready to go for my last race of this season.

Great Service!

I first met Paul and Andy at the London Bike show and told them what I was looking for etc. Paul then called me to discuss options and what they could do for me. The knowledge and advice give when selecting components and a frame was first class. I would highly recommend the guys at Bike Swanky if you're looking for something special. The coffee and cake at the hub is pretty good too!

TT bike purchase and Fit

Stumbled BS online and after a chat with Paul the owner, decided to go along and view the Orbea Ordu on demo.

A superb friendly and informative chap, ended up buying the Obea Ordu and later had an excellent fit of the BS associated fitter Nick. Nick knows his stuff and provided a great interactive dynamic fit.

I have extended my association with BS by opting for there gold membership package.
