The products were not well stocked, and many shelves were empty. Staff seemed uninterested, checkout was slow, and several food stalls were closed. Overall, the experience was disappointing.
Hua Hin Blue port Big c. 14 October. A big shop like this and no pork mince I asked the staff and no one could understand me but I did find somebody I always shop a big sea but I come in there today no pork mince and no choice mince I think they must’ve problem somehow always very satisfied to come to pork a fair standard like chicken or pork if we don’t have it in stock there again I’ll probably have to end up shopping back in Paul market village
big c has become my go-to place for quick grocery runs - it’s convenient, well stocked, and most of the time i can find everything i need in one trip. i like that the store is organized in a pretty logical way: food, cleaning supplies, toiletries, even some basic home goods are easy to find without wandering around for ages. prices are also quite fair compared to other supermarkets, especially on everyday stuff like snacks, drinks and household items. it’s nice not having to think twice about how much i’m spending on basics.
but i can’t say it’s perfect. one of the biggest issues is the checkout lines in the evenings and on weekends. sometimes you can end up waiting 15-20 minutes just to pay, which kills the whole “quick shopping trip” idea. they do have self-checkout machines, but not all of them work properly, and sometimes there’s no one around to help when the machine gets stuck.
another thing - certain popular items can run out pretty fast, especially fresh produce or baked goods. i’ve had several times when i came for something specific, like fresh bread or fruit, and the shelves were empty by the evening. it’s not critical, but a bit annoying.
overall, i still like this store a lot. it’s clean, well-lit, and staff usually works fast, even when there’s a rush. i wouldn’t recommend going during peak hours if you want it to be quick, but for regular shopping it’s a solid and reliable option.
