I always have a great time with backmarket both to buy and trade in devices. This was my 3rd purchase from them and 5th transaction overall and I have no complaints

I bought an iPhone 15 listed in Excellent condition. Back Market defines excellent condition as “no scratches” on screen. The phone I received had multiple, highly visible scratches on the screen. I spoke with a customer service rep and sent her photos and a video of the new phone. She agreed it didn’t even meet their quality standards for a phone in fair condition. Back Market listed the same model phone, in fair condition for about $100 less than what I paid. I then spoke with a supervisor who said he would contact his team and the seller, and then let me know within 2 business days how much of a refund they could issue me. At this point, I had already spent more than 5 hours with my cellular provider and Apple to transfer my data and service to the new phone. The supervisor never followed up with me. Three days later, I talked to another service agent who said they could only offer me a $50 refund. This is absolutely unacceptable. Back Market claims that devices in their marketplace go through a rigorous, multipoint quality inspection. My receipt even has a line item change for quality assurance! When I looked at the refurbisher’s reviews on Google, it was clear that the company, Kiss Electronics, has a history of misrepresenting their products. Back Market claims to offer “best in class refurbishment” and “only use trusted refurbishers”. They should not use refurbishers who scam customers AND they should have offered to fairly compensate me for the difference in price compared to the same product in fair condition. I had been a repeat customer, but I will never conduct business with Back Market again after the way they mishandled this situation.

I ordered the premium and it was flawless. Like new. It was delivered in 2 days. I will get my next phone and a laptop from Back market. I'm very impressed and have been telling anyone who will listen about this company.

I've purchased refurbished electronics before, but only from brands I trust, like Apple and Samsung. I've also bought refurbished devices from Woot in the past, and while the products themselves were fine, the buying experience wasn't always great. This time I needed another MacBook quickly because my existing machine had become a bottleneck for my work, so I wanted a company that inspired confidence if something went wrong.

Back Market did exactly that.

What really sold me was the transparency. I liked being able to compare different condition grades and decide what mattered to me. I don't mind a small cosmetic scratch if it saves me money, but I wanted a machine that was technically solid. I also appreciated the included one-year warranty, the 30-day return window, and the option to purchase extended coverage. Those policies made the purchase feel very low risk.

The ordering process was straightforward, shipping was fast, and the MacBook arrived exactly as described. It has exceeded my expectations and has been a huge upgrade for my workflow.

I'm naturally pretty thrifty. Even if I can afford to buy something brand new, I always look for the smartest value. Spending thousands more on a new laptop just didn't make sense when I could get an excellent refurbished machine backed by a strong warranty.

This was my first purchase from Back Market, but it definitely won't be my last. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality refurbished electronics.

I absolutely love my phone. The phone from Back Market arrived practically new with accessories at a much lower cost than the mobile retail stores. My phone arrived quickly well packaged. I love Apple products and their prices on refurbished like new products looks just like a brand new at a cheaper price!! The products are top shelf, no matter what you buy. I'm tremendously grateful for Back Market x Chrome OS USB drive. I installed on a Windows 10 machine that lost support as well as a Windows 8 PC with great ease. Both are running superb!! Back Market Sold Me a Phone Reported as Stolen

I purchased an iPhone from Back Market because I needed a reliable replacement quickly. When I took it to AT&T for activation, I was told the phone had been reported stolen, was blacklisted, and could not be activated.

I then spent more than two weeks repeatedly contacting customer service, providing proof of the problem, and waiting through Back Market’s return process. At one point, I was even given Android troubleshooting instructions for an iPhone. During this time, I had neither a working phone nor access to the money I had paid. The burden fell entirely on me to discover the problem, prove it, return the device, repeatedly follow up, and wait for a resolution.

Back Market showed a frustrating lack of ownership once the problem was confirmed. Rather than taking responsibility and acting with urgency, the company repeatedly pointed to the third-party seller, avoided providing a clear resolution, and said it was waiting for the seller’s response.

Despite the seriousness of selling a customer a device reported as stolen, Back Market offered no expedited replacement or meaningful assistance beyond finally issuing a refund after repeated back-and-forth. After letting them know my displeasure they only then offered an insignificant credit(5 %) towards future purchases that did not meaningfully address the inconvenience. The refund corrected the financial transaction, but it did not make the experience satisfactory or address the significant disruption caused.

Back Market simply closed the matter as “resolved.”

Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Back Market. Buyers should seriously consider the risk of receiving a blacklisted or unusable device and then being subjected to a slow, inflexible return process and unsatisfactory customer service. Ultimately, I was left with nothing but delay, inconvenience, and disappointment.

I have bought from backmarket twice. The first time went very well as I bought an IPhone that worked perfectly fine, however, the second time, I bought a MacBook became a nightmarish experience. I bought from a seller with over 4.2 star reviews so I thought everything would go well.
I mostly used this MacBook during the summertime due to me being a student, but after that period the absolute HELL began. There was the constant glitching of the touch bar and the horrible battery life that made me initially contact customer support during my warranty in march of this year. I bought the computer in June of last year so the warranty was still applicable at this point. During that period of a glitchy touch bar on a computer I barley used, I reset my mac password and miraculously the glitching stopped. Me being a student, I stopped the return process because it would've been very difficult to oversee when I am constantly moving from school to home.
Then, fast forward to now, July, when I try to charge my macbook that I have so far only used once this summer for an event, nothing. I leave it overnight: nothing. The screen is completely black and when I try to power on, it does not work. Now, I do realize that my warranty is about one month expired so I contact the customer service anyway and get met with very minimal solutions for a computer I played over $600 for. They offered me 10% off another purchase from them, 15% off of a repair service, and a trade in offer where I would get $71 back. Honestly, this felt like a spit in the face after the hell I went through with this computer.
Though I realize my warranty expired, I barely used this computer and did everything in my power to keep it in pristine condition. No water damage, no heavy items on top of it, no humid areas. It was always kept in an insulating, cool sleeve. The responses from the customer service, specifically, Lucy, were honestly dismissive of the trials and tribulations I've had to go through with this computer and this company so far. I talked with a representative on the phone who was very understanding ( I had to go through multiple searches and FINALLY found their number on a Yelp website) and am patiently waiting for my case to be reviewed so hopefully there will be an exception because I barely got to use this supposed "Excellent" macbook, before it became faulty. WILL UPDATE SOON!!

I high recommend Back Market. They have a wide selection of products. Their website allows you to input exactly that for which you are searching. Ordering and paying for the order are easy to complete. The item I ordered was packed well for shipping and arrived in the time expected and in excellent condition. Our family uses Back Market because their products are excellent, are backed up with a guarantee, and are reasonably priced.
