First time renting a car
First time renting a car, and could not recommend automainia any more. Quick and easy communication from the airport, included a free shuttle to the shop. Ended up with a very nice lancia which made our travelling very smooth and comfortable. So overall a 10/10 experience.

The experience was good overall
The experience was good overall, except that I would have appreciated a better communication when I sent a picture of a warning sign in the car nobody replied and I was a bit stressed the first days.
On the other hand I dropped an Airpods case in the van and they found it and brought it to me at departures.

Best car rental experience!
The easiest and most pleasant car rental I’ve ever had! Great customer service at the desk, there was no upselling at all. The car was great value and in pristine condition. Quick pick up and drop off. I’ve rented a lot of cars in a lot of countries, and this was by far the best experience - highly recommend!

My big problem and made me extremely…
My big problem and made me extremely disappointed is that I specifically asked for an automatic car. I asked minimum 5 times at the desk to make sure that I had an automatic and was always assured that it was an automatic. I paid for an automatic. I went to pick up the car and it was a peugeot 2008 manual. I asked for it to be replaced and there wasn’t any available. I have an injury in my left leg and can’t drive a manual car. I called your office and asked what I could do. I was told that someone else can drive instead. Fortunately there was my husband with me and he drove instead but I travel very often alone. I don’t know what I would have done if I was alone. A big disappointment. I had booked the car months before to make sure I had an automatic car. All I was told that it is easy to drive a manual car. I know how to drive a manual car but because of my leg it is not safe for me. It was certainly not an upgrade. It was only a huge problem that could have ruined my holiday.

We would, however, like to clarify the circumstances regarding the vehicle provided. Your reservation was for an automatic Opel Corsa, but at the time of collection, we provided you with an upgrade to a Jeep Renegade. In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, when the reserved category is not available, we may provide a vehicle from a higher category at no additional cost.
We understand that the transmission type was particularly important to you. However, we would also like to point out that no additional driver was added to the rental agreement, and our staff were not informed that another person would be driving the vehicle.
As clearly stated in our Terms and Conditions, only drivers who are registered and included in the rental agreement are authorised to drive the vehicle. Therefore, regardless of the circumstances, another person cannot drive the rental vehicle unless they have been officially added to the contract and meet all the rental requirements.
We regret that the vehicle provided did not meet your expectations and appreciate your feedback. We always aim to provide our customers with a suitable vehicle and to follow the conditions of each reservation.

Bad experience
Booked for opel zafira or similar, recieved a base model no equipment (not even a radio screen) Dacia Sandero, which didn’t get the right maitance and the dash light was on since the moment they gave me the keys. Tire pressure light came on not even 20km in, checked pressure, they were allright, so the tire presure meter was broken, meaning that they knew that and the light error was being removed each time with an OBD.
The car was booked in a third party website, they had all the info but still they tried to scam me saying that I had to play much more, that second driver wasn’t included… among other things.
I don’t recomend them, you won’t get the car you booked for, not even close.

Vehicles are assigned according to availability at the time of collection, and a different make or model within the same category may therefore be provided.
Regarding the other points mentioned in your review, we are sorry that you were dissatisfied with your experience. However, we do not agree with the suggestion that we intended to mislead or “scam” you. Any additional charges or optional services are explained according to the terms and conditions of the rental.

Friendly check in and check out but car was damaged when I collected it.
Friendly check in and check out. My car had a damaged headlight which I later discovered vibrated violently at night meaning the light flickered. I don't think this is legal and it should have been repaired before hiring.
