Really lovely products especially cell repair night oil
Really lovely products - especially the cell repair night oil. I’m a big fan of scented oils and creams as they add to the experience when massaging the product into my face but can appreciate they might not be right for those with sensitive skin.
Lovely packaging and smell, but…
Lovely packaging and smell of products - made a purchase of various products given all the amazing reviews seen. However, beware if you have sensitive skin they contain a lot of essential oils- face creams (used both day and night) caused skin irritation on cheeks (first time I had this kind of reaction) and under eye milia. What a shame...
Refresh & Revitalise Eye & Lash Cleanser
I treated myself to this product to add to my skincare. I used to use an ordinary cleanser to remove eye make up but I wanted something nurturing, powerful and gentle and so I now use this.
It is a brilliant product. Not only is it very effective at removing eye makeup and mascara, it also nourishes your lashes and helps them to grow. Yes I know. How fabulous is that. So by using it daily, I am encouraging beautiful lash growth.
In my book, that's a win, win. Because I am menopausal, I am all about using products that are B-corp, very skin friendly, eo friendly and that work. My skin is important to me and I love looking and feeling great.
There is nothing like a great incremental upgrade and I am testament of this, with this brand.
I dare you to give it a go.
Reusable bamboo cotton pads
I bought reusable bamboo cotton pads from Aurelia London. The product is very disappointing. Bamboo is known for its softness but the pads are very hard, not soft at all and a bit too small for removing make up from the face. Very disappointed with this product.
Great eco-friendly packaging and products
I've used the products for a couple of years now and the facial oil is one that I recommend. The kits also offer good value to try the products in one go, and they are generous with free samples to try other products.
Top marks for the packaging, as they don't use plastic and use cotton bags for all items that you can reuse, and the chips in the box are biodegradable (they melt in water). They also have a loyalty scheme now and it takes a while to build up points as you have to be invited to review to get points, but you get some for your birthday.
I knocked off one star as it says free delivery on all orders, but is only free on orders over £15.
Strong scents.
I bought a kit with cleanser, serum, face cloth and two moisturisers, day and night.
The products are clearly high end with top quality ingredients. They definitely moisturised my mature skin and you only need to use a small amount of each product, so even though small sizes they will last a long time.
However, I have a problem with the scents. The night moisturiser has an absolutely gorgeous scent, but the day moisturiser has a strange smell, as does the serum. I'm getting used to it but not my cup of tea. The cleanser has a very strong scent - like cleanse and polish, but multiplied. While I can't say I dislike it, it's so strong that it can be quite overpowering.
A shame because if it weren't for the scents, I'd definitely be a repeat purchaser.
Non Environmental Friendly Packaging
Ordered some more bamboo face cloths, incredible unhappy with how wasteful the packaging is. They came in far to big a box filled to the brim with Polystyrene for an item that isn’t even fragile. The face cloths are then in a further box that will just need to go in the bin a well. I won’t be buying from them again, incredible that companies are still operating in this way given all the attention recently on the state of our environment.
Good products, poor service
The probiotic concentrate is REALLY good. Their customer service, however, is not. I've messaged them on Twitter and Facebook and received no replies whatsoever. They had a secret sale the other week and I tried purchase an item (around £23). Delivery was allegedly free with £20+ spends, but I kept getting an additional £3 added on at checkout. Didn't hear back from anyone on socials and the promotion ended, so decided to take my money elsewhere.
Unpublished fair review of a product
They sent me an email offering 10% off in return for a product review of my recent purchase. My review, while positive, did have a few criticisms of their product (citrus botanical deoderant). It never appeared on their website, and I notice that most if not all reviews are 5 stars. They have good products but I don't trust that they are being open with their reviews.
One of the best skincare companies out there.
Aurelia is one of the best skincare companies out there.
I have purchased the citrus botanical cream deodrant and the balance and glow day oil, and was sent a sample of the cell revitalise night moisturiser, all three products are fantastic; exceptional quality and they smell lovely. I cannot recommend highly enough.
