Absolutely disgusting

Absolutely disgusting , bought son one of their gaming laptops for Christmas 23 stopped working properly earlier this year and called today as it looks like the motherboard? Called to see what to do next and apparently warranty out within the year and i paid £700 for a child’s laptop? Wow it doesn’t last very long under their standard warranty, but you can shell out more money on their extended version which i bet wouldn’t cover the problem. Or they can look into it and i can pay them more money to get it fixed? For what? Another year?

Hello? Asus? Is there anyone there?

One star only because I can't give zero. Shockingly bad customer service from the UK direct site. Ordered laptop on 4th November expecting it in "2-4 working days". Here we are 10 days later and its still being "processed". No reply to any of my emails, the last of which is actually cancelling the order. Of course the payment was taken pretty sharpish. I wonder if it will ever show up?

Asus Laptops have a BIOS problem. Avoid!

When I first bought this machine it ran fine. Marvel Rivals and other new games were playing great at high settings.

But after a while things started to degrade and suddenly I found that all my games were stuttering and the sound quality degraded dramatically.

I tried everything. Made sure everything was updated, rolled back some drivers just in case, closed background programs and finally I knew something was seriously wrong when games were still stuttering at their lowest, ugliest graphic settings. (Side note: Some Asus users went so far as to install Linux only to find that the stuttering problems persisted).

I was about to contact Asus (which I did, more on that later) when I stumbled on a recent YouTube video called 'Asus Laptops Are Broken.' I highly recommend you watch this before considering what laptop to buy.

A Github user named Zephkek did a deep dive on Asus laptop stuttering problems and found that this stuttering problem goes back to 2021 on many Asus laptops. The BIOS is a complete disaster. You can try all this:

* Updating every driver imaginable, multiple times.

* Performing a "clean" reinstallation of Windows.

* Disabling every conceivable power-saving option.

* Manually tweaking processor interrupt affinities.

* Following convoluted multi-step guides from Reddit threads.

And none of it will help.

Current situation. Battlefield 6: unplayable at any setting. Arc Raiders: unenjoyable and stuttering at lowest settings; and if you think you could still enjoy that wonderful sound design you can forget it because you won't be able to appreciate it under the din of buzzing and popping sounds your Asus is making.

Even Megabonk is stuttering on this machine. Megabonk. . .

So I contacted Asus via their text support and simply asked when I could reasonably expect a firmware upgrade that would fix this BIOS problem. They pretended to not know what I was talking about so I linked both the YouTube video and the Zephkek deep dive on Github. They claimed they couldn't look at the links. So I started to copy and paste the Zephkek article directly into chat. I was temporarily disconnected and then kicked over to, perhaps a supervisor? Who knows at this point. I had a similar conversation with this individual. Once again I said, "Can you please just tell me when I can reasonably expect a firmware fix for this problem because there is absolutely nothing I can do about it on my end." He said he was moving my issue up to a high priority and that they would contact me by email within two days. They never did. They never answered my one question. The last bios update was 11/12/24 despite this problem persisting for five years.

If you are still considering buying an Asus laptop at this point I suggest you take your money outside and set fire to it. It will be less stress. I've never had so much buyer's remorse for a laptop. Don't make my mistake. Avoid Asus at all cost.

I'm upset I can't leave 0 stars

I'm upset I can't leave 0 stars. I ordered a computer and never got it. It's been weeks now. FedEx said they delivered it but they didn't and told me contact ASUS. ASUS said they completed their investigation and I got my computer, but I did not. I have paid full price for a computer and I didn't get it through no fault of my own, which is literally theft and fraud. Do not buy from ASUS, they will lie to you and string you along but never do anything. Worst customer service experience of my life.

New Asus screen doesn't work as intended

My new external screen from Asus cannot expand its picture into my laptop screen, nor can it be on by itself without the laptop screen also being on. Thus half of the four functionalities that every other screen can handle fails. The driver I installed from Asus doesn't help, nor any of the numerous other attempts over days of work to resolve the problem.

Customer service here in Sweden gives halfway idiotic responses to the problem:

"Contact Microsoft!", "It's a software problem." (No shit! It's YOUR software problem. Your driver doesn't work.) "Get an external keyboard so that you can close your laptop and that way stop the laptop screen." and so on. They refuse to take responsibility for what I know is intended to work.

I'm so disappointed because I have excellent experience from other types of Asus products (mobile phone and router). Apparently, their customer service will win no medals.

Their software sucks(Armoury Crate).
On paper, it looks great, but in reality it only works once every summer solstice. Support can't help either. They give you the same 5 options that you have already tried 1800 times. Reinstall the app. Re-register your product. Update app. Restart PC. Restart the app. And repeat.

Gosh I was forced to give 1 star

Gosh I was forced to give 1 star. I wanted to give 0 star. Bought a Intel i9 18 months ago. The key board is absolute crap. Hopeless. Struggled with it, it’s so bad to use. Supposed to be a gaming lap top some of the keys I can no longer use so its impossible to play games on it when the core key you need you have to click it 100 times. Do not buy the Asus Predator. Neo 16. It’s anything but a predator. Very disappointed. Buy anything else..

Ordered Purchased directly from ASUS UK official store (uk.store.asus.com)” from ASUS UK Store…

Ordered directly from ASUS UK Store (uk.store.asus.com) on Tuesday evening and paid extra for Express 1–2 working days delivery.
It’s now Friday evening – no tracking number, no dispatch confirmation, no response to my email sent on Thursday morning.

ASUS, you’re one of the biggest tech brands in the world…
…but apparently, Express shipping means “Express silence” 😂

If this is how your official store (operated by Digital River Ireland Ltd) treats customers, it’s a real shame.
I paid for speed, got radio silence.
Even small independent retailers communicate better than this.

Please don’t advertise “1–2 working days” if you can’t deliver it — literally.
At this point, I’m just curious whether my parcel or your reply will arrive first.

Sorry to say Asus quality has gone way…

Sorry to say Asus quality has gone way down. I have an Asus laptop from 2007 that came with vista. And it's still going strong. Built like a tank. Last two Asus tuf laptops have died within a year. Screen failed on the first one. Was away at Asus via Scan.co.uk for over 3 months, had to claim under consumer rights to get a replacement through scan. Replacement was possibly even worse. Poor quality plastics, failed at all the mounting points. Whole thing is falling apart. It's otherwise a brilliant laptop specs and performance wise, but let down by a chassis made of cheese. Terrible. I can not recommend them anymore infact I would stay away from anything Asus. Shame as they used to be great. How can a 20 year old laptop still be better shape than one that has had light use and a year old. Terrible. Steer clear.

I placed an order directly through…ASUS Cancelled My Laptop Order Twice Within Minutes

I placed an order directly through ASUS’s online store for a new ROG Zephyrus G16 (GU605CW-XS98) and received an order confirmation, followed just two minutes later by an automated email stating my order was cancelled.

I immediately called ASUS customer support. The representative told me the “payment team” couldn’t process my order and advised me to double-check my billing and shipping information. I confirmed everything was correct and tried again — this time using Apple Pay instead of my credit card directly.

Once again, my credit card (Chase Sapphire Reserve) notified me that the charge went through successfully, yet two minutes later, ASUS cancelled the order again. When I called back, I was given the same generic answer — that the “fraud partner” or “billing side” rejected the order, even though my bank verified both charges were fully authorized and waiting on ASUS to finalize.

To confirm, I spoke directly with Chase, who told me both transactions were approved and pending ASUS’s settlement — in other words, the issue is entirely on ASUS’s end.

After two phone calls and an email, ASUS has offered no concrete explanation beyond boilerplate about “address verification” or “payment issues.” I’ve now wasted hours trying to purchase a $3,700 laptop I genuinely want, and I’m being told my only option is to buy through a reseller.

For a premium brand, this is an incredibly disappointing experience — both in how poorly the order system functions and how little ownership customer service has taken. I’ve provided the same information multiple times, only to receive canned responses instead of real troubleshooting.

Case number: N2510030618 & N10001189507
Order timeline: Two cancelled orders within minutes of placement (despite verified payment authorization).

ASUS — I’m posting this in hopes someone from your corporate or order review team will actually look into what’s going wrong here. Your fraud system is blocking legitimate customers, and the lack of escalation support has turned what should have been a simple purchase into an exhausting ordeal.
