Everything seemed normal when I gave the salesman the size and specifications of the building I was looking for, but once they had my information they came back with a quote that was considerably higher than the other competitive quotes. Once I stated this to them the salesman started saying that everyone else was quoting cheap inferior materials and that I needed to believe that they had the best product on the planet. Typical salesman tactics followed with the salesman claiming that their management was giving me a special deal from reduced steel costs and how he needed a deposit today or the price could change the next day. When I did finally did say no I was not interested the salesman turned up the rudeness. I eventually hung up on the salesman, because he would not take no for an answer. I left the whole experience feeling greasy & dirty like a door to door salesman had just tried to sell me the next great vacuum, encyclopedia or knife set.
A few days later I decided to contact Armstrong to let them know how my experience was with their sale staff. As always I had to leave my name & number and wait for a call back. The following day I received a call back from the same Armstrong salesman barking at me about why his management was receiving a call from one of his contacts. Apparently I was a contact, not a real customer. He did not try to resolve any issues I had. He only wanted to try to belittle me over the phone.
Now that I think about the company name ARMSTRONG, it is a great name for the company, as that is apparently how their sales staff sells their products...Strong Arming their customers! If you plan to shop competitively for your building, or you enjoy this kind of punishment steer clear of Armstrong!

Salesman told us everything we wanted to hear. We had been researching buildings for the last 2 years. Armstrong Steel is very quick to get papers out to sign and you feel as though you will be taken care of, then everything goes down hill. We signed for a building and put down a down payment. 10 days go by before we hear from a project manager. Project manager has us make corrections to a drawing and send in a list of requested accessories. After a week of no response to email and phone calls I was able to call our project manager using *67 before his number. He answered right away. He had questions about our drawing. After trying to explain to him multiple times that that wasn't even a drawing we were interested in, I emailed the paperwork again. With no response our project manager sends us docu-sign agreement for another chunk of cash. Only problem was just about everything listed was incorrect sizing, wrong insulation and additional parts never requested. After 2 emails and multiple phone calls we received a response. We asked to speak with his boss to find a new building manager and have been refused multiple times. Can't even get the contact info. They are only interested in pushing buildings out the door. Their salesman, who then contacted me 1 1/2 months into the purchase about buying the same building again, will tell you they are on record pace this year and are swamped with work. Please let this be a big red flag to you as I didn't pay attention to it. You will not get there Armstrong Value promise "Work, for us, is about educating customers so they're able to make the best and most informed decision". We are first time buyers of a shop with friends in construction to help assemble, but not the full knowledge to do everything. We have received absolutely zero help or advice as to what are building is even going to be used for or if there may be a better option. Please don't make the same mistake I did.
Response to Armstrong Steel - I appreciate you looking into my review. However, I believe this is to try to look good for promising customers. I have had to resort to calling the initial salesman that sold us the building. He said he will try to contact his supervisor who will then try to contact my project managers supervisor to get this resolved. The last conversation with my project manager was my request to work with someone else and speak with his boss with his response being, " I will pass on your emails to my boss. He "might" get in contact with you, but he is pretty busy." I have all the email and phone call records showing unanswered questions and false information. Please provide a contact name and number so I can actually get some help with this.

Tried to get an honest quote from Armstrong. Reading other reviews has alerted me to the need to be cautious about what is included and what is not included. They refused to quote me a building that included insulation, saying "they don't do that". They offered to set me up as a "dealer" in their database which would enable me to get better pricing on the things they do not include - this smells "shady" of course. Another problem is, they offered 2 prices. The first was $37,000. But, if I was willing to buy right now today I could get it for $22,000. I asked if there was any way I can get an up front price that included everything, such as the insulation, and was told they would send me links to their suppliers so I could work up that price myself - but I would have to pay the $37,000 price. Dishonest sale techniques - don't give this company the satisfaction.
"I’d definitely recommend Armstrong Steel to anyone! I honestly couldn’t believe how easy it was to purchase such a high quality steel building. My building is the perfect workshop. I keep all my tractors and other gardening tools inside year round.”

There was another company who has been smearing Armstrong and made me concerned. That is, until they offered to fly me out and tour their facilities. I toured the factory where my building would be made and met the engineer in charge of stamping my drawings. If you have doubts, don't listen to competition. See for yourself. I did and I'm not disappointed in the least. My building was easy to put together and it looks SHARP!
I started working with Armstrong Steel Buildings in November. I signed a contract for a 40x40x16 Steel building for 15000.00. Gave them a 4500.00 deposit. After that it all change. They tried to charge me for things that were suppose to be with the building. They ended up giving them to me like they said. Then they try to slip another contract by before it goes to engineering changing the ibc codes. They didn't even call. I e-mail the CEO and he doesn't even call he sends a e-mail saying he will look into it and they don't give money back for buyers remorse. Really great customer service. He said he looked into it but a future email from him he didn't even know my roof pitch. I am working with the BBB and Armstrong steel is dragging there feel. I will keep updating as this goes on. I should have done more research on this company and the CEO. I would have never even called. Hope this helps the next guy or gal.
Just moved into our second Armstrong Steel building, In addition to the 4800 sq ft we added to an existing structure. We built a new construction of 3000 sq ft to use for office and warehouse space. Kiss rent goodbye!
For anyone thinking about buying a steel building, look no further than Armstrong Steel. I was very satisfied with the quality and ease of assembling the building by myself and a couple of friends because of the simplified instructions. The durability verses wood structures is night and day. I would certainly buy from Armstrong steel again!
These people know their business. They have a good product. Everything was professional throughout my buying experience. I had been in contact with two other building manufacturers and found their price was competitive. The reviews I read on the internet revealed the quality of their work. They did what they said they would do, and that matters the most to me.
Good looking building went up well In spite of bad weather .
I'm so happy I chose Armstrong Steel for my building. After doing much research, Armstrong had the most to offer for the cost. My building has been erected for nearly 2 years and I still receive many compliments on the look and finish. Anyone who is considering a pole building, should first contact Armstrong Steel. It's a much better alternative.

the framework was simple to put up and looking at the plans showed me i could erect the building myself

From start to finish the people at Armstrong Steel were extremely helpful and honest. I really appreciated Kitty and Cole for all the extra help they gave. I purchased an Armstrong steel building in October of 2013 and took delivery of the building in November 2013. I have good customer services. Calls were returned promptly and all question were answered in a timely manner. Good and reliable company to do business with.
I purchased an Armstrong steel building in October of 2012. I erected the building myself as I am a licensed contractor. Every component fit together perfectly. Armstrong's customer service was also outstanding. I would highly recommend this company to friends and family alike.
