Poor call centre. Being over 60 I asked if the background laughter could be toned down due to hearing problems. The reply. Yes sir I’ll help you with that. And they hung up. Avoid at all costs.

Clearscore.com recommended to open an account with Aqua so I did. Got £1200 credit limit. All went good untily my first purchase online. During the purchase Aqua decided to block my card and sent to me the fraud alert text message asking to contact them. Tried to contact them but it seems not actually possible as they are all the time too busy 🙄 for 10-15 minutes music is playing an no agent is responding my call.. it seems silly to give an account for a client without making sure you can handle it. My suggestion for the Aqua-if you are giving an account and then blocking it straight away then make it possible to prove the ID through the app as its seems impossible to contact your people by phone..
Probably I will just abandon the account as thers 0 spent..as I couldn't even spend anything 🤣 and my suggestion for others- go somewhere else better 👍

I originally hated this this company because they always seemed to block my whole account at least once per month due to suspicious transactions. It would take me about a week to get my account up and running and frustrated me.
However I today became so greatful for their fraud department , my card had been cloned and a £400 transaction was made at 18.06.58pm and by 18.07.00 (2 seconds later) they were informing me that they blocked the transaction and blocked my account. I called up and I spoke to a guy called Shaun, he was absoloutly amazing and sorted absoloute everything and advised me on how best to protect myself from future problems. He spoke to me like a real human while remaining polite , was really friendly and funny and put me at ease during a stressful time, was able to measure me of every step they had taken to protect me from fraud. And I take back whole heartedly my origional concerns I had about Aqua being over cautious when it comes to fraud. Their anti fraud protection is actually one of the best ive seen. Usually when ive fell victim to fraudulent transactions with my bank or other credit card companies , it has been a battle to prove the transactions wasnt me and they always find a reason not to give you back the money. Aqua actually checks every transaction, even if you mistype a certain little detail incorrect it flags it and blocks it before the payment could ever be made. Exceptional service

I’m absolutely pissed off with Aqua.

After being a customer for 7 years, it apparently means nothing whether you’re a long-standing customer or even a Gold member. Aqua decided to close my account because someone was trying to commit fraud using my information.

I reported the payment as not being mine, yet instead of simply securing my account and issuing me a new card, Aqua decided to close the entire account.

After 7 years of being a loyal customer, I expected much better. To have my account closed because someone tried to defraud me is absolutely ridiculous.

I’ll now be taking my business elsewhere and looking at other credit providers. 7 years of loyalty apparently means nothing to Aqua.
