Alpha Heater

What a scam! Don’t buy. I tried to cancel my order 2 minutes after ordering but numerous emails returned as undeliverable. Phone number was international.
They also added something I hadn’t ordered and £10 postage. Wouldn’t be worth sending it back so a waste of money!
The minute you press the buy button, items are added on plus £10 postage and even though they say it’s easy to contact them there is no any of doing that! Your money has gone and the rubbish heater is on its way, supposedly.
They seem to have posted rave fake reviews everywhere but don’t be taken in by them.

Absolute load of rubbish, unfortunately I purchased one, the "on site" reviews are obviously fake. Doesn't throw any heat out except for maybe a couple of inches, blows more cold air out when cooling down. Complete waste of money and I'm gutted for being caught out!

How I wish I had checked Trustpilot before buying these two heaters.

I saw various FB ads for energy efficient mini-heaters so googled and found this heater on consumerexpertreview.com which had it as the best heater reviewed giving it 9.9 overall score. There was a 50% offer which gave a price of £99.95 so thought I would go for it.

As somebody else mentioned as soon as I clicked on purchase it took me straight through to PayPal with a bunch of hidden costs such as adding a remote upgrade and shipping costs. The cost via PayPay jumped to £122 with no basket that allowed you to actual review the final cost. Additionally the confirmation from their website confirmed the price at £118.

This rang alarm bells so emailed straight away to what was supposed to be the UK support email and queried the price and hidden costs - not heard anyhting back from that email sent two weeks ago.

I then emailed support @alphaheater.com with the same questions and received USD11.94 refund from Margin Holdings via PayPal with no explanation as to what this related apart to from a comment to say your order is cancelled so continued with the emails asking for further clarification on price difference, hidden costs, refund and if I was in fact going to get the heaters.

I did start getting email responses from this address but they seem incapable of answering more than one question at a time so keep having to send emails to drag an answer out of these people.

To my surprise the heaters did turn up on 28th December but my first impressions were that they looked like cheap plastic units from China - not what I was expecting.

I have plugged both in to test them and so far I have to say they are a let down to say the least. The review stated they could warm a room within 10 mins and they were very quiet. I don't agree on both accounts. Both are rather noisy and not consistently the same noise and so far the heat output only seems to reach about a foot in front of the heater. One of the heaters keeps cutting out which is absolutely no good for rapid heating whilst the other keeps blowing cold air out.

I am really disappointed with this product and will have to bite the bullet and take a loss on sending the stuff back.

I ordered one for my elderly mothers cold bedroom. I should have spent the money on a few candles they would have done a better job. I am just about to send back but have to pay for the return as well as them deduction 15% handling charge. Seriously considering reporting to trading standards absolute fraud. DONT BUY ITS A CON.

TOTAL SCAM!
My partner ordered one of these after googling this type of heater. She ordered one, as others have noted additional charges were applied. She was charged for an extra unit with a bill just over £100. Had to cancel debit card as recommended by fraud dept.
I instructed her to go full guns blazing at the company with whatever contact possible, after us sending threatening emails claiming bank fraud dept and police were investigating, the company attempted to give us a £25 “refund” we refused and insisted it was in the hands of the bank and police, after which a full refund was processed and has been received into my partners account.

The “heaters” did arrive but will go straight into the bin as are essentially cheap crap and I wouldn’t trust them at all.

I wish I'd have read these reviews before I sent for the alpha heater. When I first clicked on the site I thought ok I'll try one but got in a loop and ended up buying 2. One got delivered today I'm not expecting the second one to arrive

Heater arrived within 2 weeks but produces enough heat to warm anything within 2 inches of device. After that it is next to useless. I would advise anyone to look at an alternative that may actually warm the room it is in

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY...ordered in pounds sterling was changes to us dollars which was more. Never dispatched my order but still have my money and been bombarded with emails from them with false deals.

It appears there are fake reviews everywhere for this product but I was sceptical so kept searching and my suspensions were correct, don't buy. Instead I've been using heated throws and blankets to help keep my heating costs down

Ordered 22/11/22 still not arrived. Ordered two with remote control, £126.17 and after many polite emails saying I need to contact carrier still not arrived. Each time I attempt to contact carrier I am directed to a scam site: perfect gift.com; quassdimer.com; emostrap.com - very disappointed

I ordered some alpha heaters over a month ago. Haven’t received any. This company are the worst load of cheating, lying, sharks I have ever come across.

Like many others I ordered one of these heaters having read about them in national press adverts. I ordered it on 6/12/2022. The price was suposed to be £49.00 - I was immediately billed through Paypal for $81.00. A remote had been added to my order, freight charges were also added and the company had tried to set up an ongoing debit which I stopped. I tried to cancel the order immediately but the company refused to accept my GMail. The heater arrived on 24/12/2022. is totally inadquate and the remote does not work as it should. I have raised the case with Paypal but frankly do not expect my money back. I believe this is a total scam.

I completely agree with other reviewers. I think this must be a scam with some false reviews on a fake website? It is not at all as described by the company or in some of the first reviews that come up. I do not hold out any hope of getting money back and, like others, will chalk it up to experience but would definitely advise others to avoid this very cheap, overpriced piece of rubbish.

I just received my heater with remote control. It’s throwing off very little heat and seems to change at random. Kind of scary. Two new batteries in the remote overheated and started to melt and smoke, equally scary. Going to dump this thing, terrified that a fire will start. Don’t buy this thing I don’t feel it’s a safe tech.

I bought three of these heaters.
The major problem was that the plug was not three pins as used in the UK. The plug is two pronged but not eu. There own information states that you cannot use with an adapter.
I've wasted £100 for these useless heaters.
I've emailed this company both in UK and America there email doesn't exist. DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT

Firstly, it took nearly 4 weeks for my order to arrive. When it did, I was sorely disappointed. All the info online about how amazing these things are seems to be fake. It barely produces any heat and makes enough noise to be a nuisance to me. Absolute rubbish.

I want to know that this product is safe as I gave this heater to my daughter and I have heard theses products are being recalled as they are unsafe and I paid a small fortune for it

I bought a alpha space heater after reading the rave results I would expect. Well, after a week of it sitting in our dining room, you can feel no heat unless you stand 12 inches in front of it. Cannot believe the poor performance of this product.

A seriously sub standard product that does nothing even close to what it claims to ie, heat a small room. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS. I MADE A BIG MISTAKE AND NOW IM LETTING YOU KNOW YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. I will press for a refund but I won't hold my breath as with most scams, your money is gone. Move on and don't make this mistake again.

Imagine using the cost of living crisis to scam vulnerable people that unable to afford heating their homes. Absolute scum of the earth. It wouldn't surprise me if some Tory politicians and shares in it. Do not buy.
