False and dangerous information, the members are abusive to other members when they don’t agree with their food choices. The moderation is biased to only one source of information, they decline and remove comments of members who share a different viewpoint. I have never seen such childish and immature behaviour, it’s as if this group is a cult and they feel the need to destroy other members who don’t believe their rhetoric

I was always suspicious of this website and looks like I was right to be.
The site just awards foods with the highest meat content as the best food - it knows NOTHING about bioavailability which is a huge and complex issue in canine nutrition.
With so many new brands entering the market every year it stresses the importance of FEEDING TRIALS, something only big brands can afford to do (though there are some smaller brands that have done so)
With the latest revelations of Darren Beale ( Years dog food) and his association with the site, it looks like they are just doing damage control now. How could no one see the conflict of interest of him sitting on the board and then his Years food being awarded 95% rating?! At best it was a serious oversight, at worst it was corruption.
Avoid and do your own research or use a board certified canine nutritionist.

Corrupt. It took money from a dog food company and then promoted it as the best food. It wasn’t and has gone on to make many of our dogs very ill. Do not trust and do your own research

Sadly the revelations regarding mutual ownership and Directors with Years.com, plus AADF’s inability to answer all but the most obvious of questions raised after his statement; leaves me to conclude that this is no more than a marketing vehicle for sale.

Do not use this company they are not genuine. The owner takes money from whoever pays most and says that company’s dog food is the best. This has resulted in my dog having dry eyes and David Jackson the owner of all about dog food has been deleting comments from TikTok and Instagram and reviewes from Facebook to suppress people knowing about this information. He’s done a lousy blog post buried on his website. Absolutely scandalous. Not happy at all. Scumbag

Informative website, easy to use, very helpful.

Used this many times, they are amazing for finding out what you're actually feeding your dogs. Nutrients, can search by breed, age, weight. Also tells you where you can order them from, works from your budget also.

As a dog breeder of giant breeds for almost 30 years I find this website excellent. I have been directing for several years every single person who buys a puppy from me to look at this website. It is amazing that some people pay a fortune for certain premium brands that only score in the 30% range for nutritional value. They buy these foods because of the name, promoted by vets (many for commission) etc etc. They do not stack up when it comes to comparing them to lesser known brands which are generally cheaper. I only recommend high scoring, quality pet good. I’ve been recommending Eden ever since it started and more recently Darf pet food (from Sabre Pet Foods) - check them out. If you love your dog and want the best you can afford - use this website as a tool to guide your choices.
Yes - some of the info needs updating on the site but that would take an army of staff to keep on top of all the changes that come along on literally around 3000 different dog foods.

Find this site useful but the info on some products are out of date and prices are very different to reality unfortunately. They have discount codes for first purchase on some brands so worth a look. Gives you a basic guide to what is in the food you feed your dogs and how most high street brands are very poor quality. I like the way you can filter by daily cost to find the best food within your price range.

The reviews are detailed, easy to understand, and based on ingredients and nutrition rather than marketing claims. As a dog owner trying to make the best choices for my rescue dog, I found the website incredibly helpful and informative.

I have used this website, as a professional advising clients for many years. Its unbiased and detailed and provides fantastic information to enable owners to make better choices for their dog's nutrition. It can be a minefield,and vets in the main know very little about nuteition,other than what has been provided to them in one form or another by the big food manufacturers (who generally make low quality,filler filled, over processed foods). I don’t like the fact they are claiming 4 plus Trustpilot stars on Facebook which is a lie. So I would never trust them with my dog’s diet!

I used to trust this website implicitly, but I'm afraid this is no longer the case. I received a marketing email inviting me to try the dog food, Dr Veneta, a freeze-dried raw food. On the all about dog food website, there was absolutely no reference to the artificial mineral pack which was included in this product. In the circumstances, I assumed it was an entirely natural product, with no artificial additives. Upon receiving the product, I was horrified to discover Dr. Veneta actually contains a whole host of artificial additives, including the highly contentious ingredient, Copper Sulphate Pentahydrate, which has in certain studies, been linked to the development of liver tumours, including liver toxicity.
Advertising products on a website carries with it a statutory duty not to mislead or misrepresent. I purchased a product in good faith, which was certainly not as described. It is also concerning that all about dog food consistently fail to respond to any emailed complaint. I am actually extremely disappointed by the extent to which this previously reputable website, has now deteriorated to such an extent that you cannot trust its representations.

RESPONSE OF AADF

AADF did not respond with 48 hours. Sadly, they took several days. What I find most concerning is the completely misleading response here. I took a screenshot of the Dr Veneta review, therefore, I am able to prove that no reference was made to any artificial vitamin and mineral pack. I am shocked by what appears to be a blatant misrepresentation.
It is incorrect to state that the samples were "free" because you do have to pay quite a large postage charge. Taking the original price of the product into account, I received a 50% reduction in the usual price.
Copper sulphate pentahydrate Is not included in all mineral packs, because the more enlightened manufacturers include a safer alternative, such as, copper oxide. Copper sulphate pentahydrate is the cheapest form of copper available, yet it is the most dangerous, as it is utilised to kill slugs and snails.
Aadf have now amended their description of Dr. Veneta, but that was only in response to my email, which aadf confirmed to me in their response.

Great site lots of helpful information I use it for my dogs (for a few years now) and iam looking forward to you doing reviews on cat food.
