Alibaba is scamming buyers.

I purchased an iPhone 17 Pro Max from Alibaba. Merchant generated the label under 0.5kg category of FedEx but sent the empty box. FedEx Pakistan gave in writing (3 Emails + 1 Legal letter) confirming that they received and delivered the box with net weight of 0.05kg and the weight on the Proof-of-Delivery is just the slab.

Alibaba denied my dispute saying : "You have not provided proof of abnormal product weight issued by the logistics company"
I provided the letter and the email, yet they are ignoring them.

Alibaba is in on this scam. I have asked the merchant to open investigation with FedEx but they refused. I asked Alibaba team to ask merchant to open the investigation but they're saying that I stole the phone.

Even if they say that phone is stolen, why they're not reporting the issue to FedEx?

It's been 2 months and Alibaba not a single time asked the merchant to report the issue to FedEx.

I went from a 3 star to a one, because items were missing after verifying.
The shipping was EXCELLENT!! the message communication is excellent as well, B U T, When I ordered the items as described in the picture. Only half arrived correctly.
When I asked the seller Vivi Wey, why I did not receive the item that was in the picture, she told me to disregard that.
I told her that, that is why I bought it! She told me to disregard the picture. I could not understand why, if that was supposed to be in my order.
Oh well, I guess lesson learned. I kind of want to order from them again, but afraid. I might stay away. With that said! She sent me a picture of the case with wheels, and the wheels where not in the box either.

Alibaba is not as it seems- having commissioned an item, it arrived broken and should have been covered immediately by their money back guarantee. I uploaded loaded evidence of the item damaged during shipping, evidence of the seller admitting it was a shipping issue and evidence of bank statements and invoices - absolutely useless customer service who refused to refund me. Do not trust Alibaba a their money back guarantee is not fit for purpose.

The whole process from design to having a mold and sample made was very easy thanks to Ana. I wont hesitate to use Alibaba again .The delivery time quoted was reasonable and I received my product within this timeframe.

I purchased four lithium batteries through Alibaba using Trade Assurance because I believed it would protect me in case of problems.

One of the batteries showed defects from the very first operation. I provided technical evidence, BMS history, logs, screenshots and detailed analysis throughout the dispute process.

The seller rejected the evidence, refused any compensation proposal, refused to provide replacement components, and insisted that I organize and pre-finance the return of a 130 kg battery. The seller stated that transport costs would be reimbursed later, but without providing any concrete guarantees, timelines or clear procedure.

The dispute lasted for weeks. In the end, Alibaba informed me that it could not force the seller to provide a refund and offered a discretionary compensation of only USD 300.

The battery cost approximately EUR 1,640. Therefore, the buyer was left absorbing most of the loss despite having paid for Trade Assurance protection.

My main disappointment is not the seller's behavior, but the fact that the buyer protection system did not provide the level of protection I reasonably expected when making the purchase.

Based on my experience, buyers should carefully evaluate what Trade Assurance actually covers in practice before relying on it as a guarantee.

The seller shipped a heavily rusted, defective electric pot (severe safety hazard). When I complained, they explicitly offered me a 250 RMB bribe to delete my honest review, which is a direct criminal offense under Article 164 of the PRC Criminal Law.

I provided clear screenshot proof of the bribery to Alibaba. Instead of banning the seller, Trade Dispute agent "Lucy" protected them, ignored the evidence, and locked the dispute system. Now, Alibaba support is completely ignoring my messages.

Is Alibaba Group now operating as a safe haven for illegal commercial bribery? Consumers beware! Alibaba will NOT protect your rights when their sellers cheat and bribe.

I have been buying and outsourcing products through Alibaba since 2009. I couldn't list all the items I bought through the platform here, from small custom-made parts to full 52' containers, or conveyor systems worth tens of thousands of dollars, machined metal parts, electrical wires and connectors, welded SS machine parts, 3-phase electric motors from 750W to 45kW with and without speed reducers, and many, many more. In all the years I've been doing business this way, I believe I can consider myself very lucky, because not once have I been shortchanged or sent defective items. On the contrary, with some people we became friends; we even write to each other now and then, and, with their attitude and professionalism, they have earned my respect. I have to admit, some companies helped us solve debilitating problems we had for years with equipment deemed unfixable. For me, the two platforms belonging to the Alibaba group are extremely far apart: Alibaba (the site) is a professional site for high-end products and services, while AliExpress is just a collection of trickster wannabes (with some exceptions).

I run an e-commerce business and frequently use Alibaba for my supply chain. Recently, I placed an order using my valid Alibaba Account Credit (Store Credit/Coupon). The order encountered an issue and was cancelled.

Instead of refunding my valid account credit, Alibaba's system permanently deleted it. Their "Senior" customer service agent, Joshua, refused to help, copy-pasting standard templates claiming it was an "experience compensation" technicality.

They are using internal system loopholes to avoid refunding valid buyer credits. If you are a business owner, be warned: Alibaba will let your store credits expire during a dispute and refuse to manually replace them. I am currently fighting to get my funds back from order 298975243001027074. Terrible customer protection!

So far everything has gone well with this Alibaba online seller. I will really continue to be a regular customer

Do not use Alibaba. Ordered an item with the trade assurance and I received the wrong item.

Despite every effort to try and resolve the issue. The seller has stopped responding and Alibaba refuses to accept the photo and video evidence that I submitted showing that i recieved the wrong item.

Customer service is useless. Do not recommend
