If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. To start with the outgoing flight, we had over an hour delay boarding and an additional hour delay sitting in the plane waiting for a “maintenance check”. Then we arrived almost 2 hours late, and waited for 3.5 hours for our bags to come out. After waiting 3.5 hours and being reassured multiple times that they were on the way, they made an announcement that in fact there were technical difficulties and they would not be coming but rather we can just go home and they will ship them in a couple days. Then they requested we all “line up” to receive a QR code to file the baggage claim. Which took an additional half hour and could easily have been sent by text or email.
Now we are en route back and our flight was more than 1.5 hours delayed taking off, which resulted in us missing our connection. As a sidenote, they did not serve any food or water for the first 3 hours into the flight, and when they did apparently the only option was “mushroom soup” (see the sickening photo attached). After being rebooked on 2 additional flights and facing a 7 hour delay reaching home, we were given an 11 euro compensation each for the inconvenience. Apparently it has all been beyond their control. This experience has been HORRIBLE I would absolutely NEVER fly Air France again nor recommend them under any circumstances. Not to mention we were required to board 4 separate buses to move between gates and terminals during our time at CDG.
Horrible Stay far away
We had a layover in Paris and the way to go to the terminal to go to Copenhagen was IMPOSSIBLE to make and they started blaming us then they lost are bags on the next flight
Then customer service said they had our bags then the next day they said it was missing again. The only helpful guy was the one that got us on a new flight. They were also playing kind of dumb and being like ohhh sorry sir in our system it says that they are missing. Terrible never fly Air France again

Cancelled flight from Copenhagen to Birmingham, rerouted via Paris Charles De Gaulle airport to Birmingham, no food or drinks offered, re-routing turned into 5hrs extra on journey. Lost baggage as well, 2nd time this has happened when ever I fly with Air France , hopeless no staff around to assist
I waited for my luggage for two days
I waited for my luggage for two days. I bought toiletgear and clothes - I have waited two month for my refund. Their customer service never answers. Very bad service
8 hours in the airport without flying
Spent 8 hours in the airport without ever taking off after consecutive delays due to a mechanical fault on Airfrances side. Flight got cancelled and it took them over an hour to even announce where the luggage would be sent. Then, after announcing where and when, they were late again, over an hour last the deadline. Finally, rebooked the next day but their app and website are so terrible it's impossible to keep track of.
Flight canceled five times
Flight canceled five times. Still no compensation after two months. Very poor customer service. They don't care
Unacceptable customer service for such a global service company
I paid nearly €400 extra for Premium Economy on my 13-hour Paris–Santiago flight. My seat was broken (stuck upright), and I was offered to downgrade to Economy as Premium Economy was full. The crew could maximum promise me a 140EUR cash compensation, which was already low, but after months of waiting, customer service only offered a €70 voucher, valid for 12 months.
This is unacceptable: I paid for a product I never received, and instead of a fair refund, I got a voucher worth a fraction of what I lost. The flight itself was fine, but Air France’s customer support is terrible. I expect a proper refund, not a token voucher.
Toronto to Paris to Toronto
Outbound: Flight cancelled, rescheduled flight delayed. Delayed flight dangerously overheated with no AC on 26c day
Inbound: Overbooked flight = one member of our group bounced from flight. Bounced flyers (multiple) = delay in removing luggage from aircraft. Delay = missed connection to Calgary for a large number of flyers.
Sneery, dismissive customer service (France side). Zero help offered. Total lack of organization and no ownership of the mess they created.
When you book online and after they…
When you book online and after they deduct the amount from you. They send you an email that your booking s not confirmed. The second day you receive an email ticket
Then we communicate with them and they say that your ticket was purchased from an agent and it doesn't show on their system
KLM's use of poorly trained chabots in India, which derail and block customers' rightful compensation
Air France uses poorly trained chatbots in India to delay and derail compensation claims! I've struggled for almost 4 years to receive a compensation of 150 euros from KLM/Air France. Their customer service is apparently located in India. I always get replies from a new Indian sounding name, and I've spoken to around 20 different Indian customer care officials. The last one was Ankit Pandey, KLM Customer Care Assistant.
They don't understand the case and keep asking for the same documents again and again! I've sent them an authorization letter and a copy of my passport about 10 times. The replies clearly seem to be created by a poorly trained chatbot, which keep returning with the same formulations and auto-replies. And they refuse to reply to how I can make a complaint. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any suggestion as to what I can do?
Best regards, Kaspar Villadsen

They changed the flight day with months in advance and kept selling the original flight at a higher price!!
I bought a flight from Spain to Brazil in April, with departure in December 2025. A few weeks after the purchase, I received a notification that my flight had “changed“: these MFs moved it to the next day, making me lose one day of my hard-earned vacations. The cherry on top? They kept selling that same flight at a higher price!!! That’s overbooking and it’s ilegal!!! I’ve sent several claims, that they closed without answering and contacted the customer care via whatsapp – the service is outrageously bad!! I’ve requested a full refund and compensation. Found countless of similar cases online. I’m never flying AF again.
Promised the refund, then refused it
I paid £166 for an extra bag on my recent flight from Birmingham to Bangkok via Paris. I then saw that for £255. I could upgrade to premium economy which would allow me the additional bag free of charge I called Air France KLM to check that I would get a refund for the extra bag if I was to upgrade I was assured this would be done and the lady filled in a form to get the refund a few days past. I received an email saying that I would not get my £166 back Which for the life of me I can’t understand I have written to France and it’s taken the matter as high as their chief executive Anne Rigail as yet nobody has had the courtesy to even respond to my emails. I’ve asked them to listen to the telephone call with the lady assured me I’d get my money back and provide the refund. I feel like I’ve been completely ripped off.
Worst customer service/experience i…
Worst customer service/experience i have ever been seen.
We first suffered a 2 hour delay from CDG-TUN, we received no food stamps no compensation. When arriving in Tunis our baggage arrived broken. Made a claim to the customer service at the airport and they only wrote a statement/case about the luggage.
After making a complaint to the customer service. They requested us to repair the bag or check with a repair shop. Whom would ever waste their vaccation and waste time in order to go to a repair shop?
We sent them the written claim made by customer service at the airport and a picture of the luggage at the airport
Instead of compensating, they argue to bring more evidence.
Never again with air france!!!!!!
The world-famous French arrogance at its finest!!!
Just got back from a move from Seoul to Paris – a 14-hour and 20-minute flight.
After takeoff, when the seatbelt sign was turned off, I wanted to use the entertainment system (seat A30, which I specifically paid for). That’s when I discovered it wasn’t working.
I called a cabin crew member and asked if she could make it work. She brought the cabin manager, who informed me that the system on my seat didn’t work.
I asked if it was possible to change seats, as there were several vacant seats on the flight in economy, premium, and business class (at least 25 seats).
I was told that, unfortunately, I could not change seats because it was a company rule. I asked why passengers with faulty seats hadn’t been relocated. I was told they don’t do that, and that many seats on the plane were broken.
I specifically asked, “Would you rather have passengers who complain instead of finding a common solution?” The answer was, “Yes, that’s Air France policy.” – WTF??
After some time, I was offered 12,000 miles as compensation, which I, of course, refused, as it would prevent me from filing a complaint afterward since I would have accepted their ridiculous so-called compensation.
The world-famous French arrogance at its finest!!!
Poor service/time management / lost luggages.
It departed late and arrived late. Flight attendants aloof. Seats old and uncomfortable. These are manageable on small flights but on connecting flights, but it was shocking to witness the long queue at Heathrow with a special counter just for Air France. The couple in front of me , regular Air France passengers on short trips informed me that they get this issue on each occasion. They did it as the flight was cheap but my flight was a connecting flight from Australia. Our luggages were delivered 2 days later.
Don’t bother unless you are on a tight budget. And don’t put your house keys in your luggage!
