Booked a house with them for Coachella…

Booked a house with them for Coachella 2027 and they canceled me citing system failure. I guess thats there thing. Now most of the less expensive places are booked up. They did it to jack up the prices after others have already booked. Bad business practice and really sad to do to people.

If you enjoy being ghosted

If you enjoy being ghosted, misled, and run in circles, Acme House Company is your dream host. They never answer calls or messages, dodge every attempt to get clarity, and twist their own policies to fit whatever suits them that day.

They also yank listings off Airbnb under false pretenses, leaving guests stranded and confused—then pretend it’s a “system issue.” Spoiler: it’s not. It’s bad management and zero accountability.

After dealing with them, it’s clear they rely on fine print and silence instead of service and integrity. There are too many honest, responsive hosts out there—skip Acme and save yourself the frustration.

⭐ 0/5. Wouldn’t trust them to manage a birdhouse.

Andiamo al Sole Villa from Acme

Just returned from an excellent stay at a Villa managed by Acme House and have to say we had a fantastic time in a Villa that we just could not fault in any way.

The standard of the Villa and the support and communication from Acme was exemplary.

They really looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed and all of the information provided was exactly as we needed.

Would highly recommend acme to anyone staying in Palm Springs and looking for a place to stay, and would also recommend the Andiamo al Sole Villa as an excellent choice of accomodation.

never again

During the summer me and my family stayed in the home for 3 weeks. The home was ok, the pool was large, but there were quite a few failures.

- When we arrived the access code didn't work. It turned out that acme house had send us an email (while we were on the airplane) with a new code. But as we have Dutch mobilephones we don't have internet in the USA, so we didn't know

- There's a large bathtub in the masterbathroom There was supposed to be a whirpool, but it didn't work. It was one of the reasons why we choose this home. We reported this during our stay. A mechanic came, but he couldn't fix it.

- On the terrace there was a lightbulb missing. We also reported this. This was fixed the next day, but I think this should have been checked before our arrival.

- 3 out of 5 poollights didn't work. The only 1 that was working proparly was the one in the far end. The one closest to the terrace was getting on and off every few seconds. Which was very annoying. We did report this. At first nobody came to check it out, so we reported it again. Someone came to see. The lights had to be replaced, but it couldn't be done during our stay. So we sat in the dark at night. We didn't swim at night, just because it was way too dark. It was somehting we (especially the kids) were looking forward to.

- At the undeep part of the pool the floor was crumbling. The damage already started before our arrival, but it got worse every day. The poolguy must have noticed it before. One day my nephew jump in the pool and got a little fragment of the stone in his foot. At this point we reported it to Acme house. They came to check and promised to come back the next day. They did, but ofcourse they couldn't repair it. They put a few bags of poolsalt over it, but this didn't really work.

We paid quite a lot of money to stay in this home. For the same period next year they charge over 3 times as much for this home (about 22.000USD) and it's absolutely not worth it.
For this money you expect more.

But it doesn't matter how much you pay, the things I'm writing above aren't allowed to happen. If the description says it's there, then it should be and it should be working and not be broken.

After we got home I emailed acme house to discuss this. As there were so many failures I thought it would be fair to get a small refund. After a while (I had to email them a couple of times, because I didn't hear anything) they offered us 200USD. It was not as much as I was hoping for , but ok I agreed with it and asked them to send it to my account. But they only want to give it as a deposit for a next stay.
As we are from Holland we won't travel to the Palm Springs area in the near future (we even might never be travelling there again ). I explained that to them and they had to discuss it with the management. They would be back in a couple of days. That's almost 3 weeks ago now. I emailed them a couple of times but they're just ignoring me.

I wish I'd could write a more positive review, but unfortunately I can't. If ACME HOUSE had solved this neatly I would have written one.

If you are renting in Palm Springs

If you are renting in Palm Springs, this is the only company you should use if you want a positive experience. They saved us when we made the mistake of renting from Turnkey. The home was clean & simply an exceptional property. I cannot recommend them enough. We’ve used them twice & both times they exceeded expectations. I promise you will regret going with anyone else.
