My property is completely off-grid
My property is completely off-grid. no utility lines within a mile. I've tried buying from local (if 50 miles is local) dealers but selection is always limited and they push whatever they have in stock. A1 SolarStore feels like the online store of a real solar supply house. Tier 1 panels, battery options. I've done full system order with them now and I'm already planning a next for the barn.

Power outages in our area have been getting worse every summer. I needed a whole-home backup solution before it. A1 SolarStore had the generator in stock when every local hardware store was wiped out. That kind of reliability is worth every penny.

Based on our records, we initially received confirmation indicating that your order would be ready for pickup on January 9th. After reviewing your feedback, we are actively investigating what went wrong in the communication between our system and the fulfillment center, as it’s clear there was a disconnect—particularly since the distributor indicated the order had been ready as early as December 23rd. This is not the experience we aim to provide, and we take this feedback seriously.
Regarding the credit card fee, this charge is applied by the payment processor to cover credit card processing costs. We always try to offer alternative payment methods, but we understand that Zelle was not a viable option for you in this case, and we appreciate your feedback on how this impacted your experience.
We sincerely apologize for the delays, the confusion, and the inconvenience caused. Your comments help us identify areas where we need to improve, especially around pickup coordination and communication. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.
Over a month to receive
Here is an update to my purchase. I initially wrote a review that was critical of A1. It's still kind of valid. But I'd like to provide my experience from purchase to receipt. I ordered a pallet of panels on the 12th of December. But I didn't receive them until the 16th of January. They didn't ship until the 8th of January. They said they are waiting for pickup and the holidays were messing up shipping. Their communication is crap. They don't reply for days to emails/texts/whatsapp. If they don't pickup the phone (which is most of the time) it just says call back later. It makes you really doubt the legitimacy of the company. Especially when I paid using Zelle. That has it's own issues, you have to use the 800 number for the payment, not the company name. And it takes a day or two for the system to stop sending you payment reminders. This was my second time ordering from them. The first time I used a credit card and picked the panels up and it went smoothly. This time they didn't send tracking information until 6 days AFTER they were picked up. After 4 days and a bad Trust Pilot review, they finally communicated and said they didn't have it yet. What company has a shipment picked up and doesn't have tracking right away? When I did the tracking, the tracking said they were delivered the day after pickup (5 days before). Regarding the shipment, the delivery was to the right address and phone number but A1 Solar Store was the purchaser. Because it was a pallet shipment I had my work as delivery address. Once the shipping company found the pallet I worked with them to deliver it the next day. The pallet was pretty abused, panels shifted on it but miraculously all the panels were fine. I can say, A1 got off their butt when I told them the shipment was lost, with plenty of communication with me and the shipping company. So in summary, they are legit, but you'll not get great communication from them. If you have problems, it seems that the Sales@ email address is most visibility across the company. The whatsapp might work for issues. Just persist if you have problems and eventually you'll get your stuff. At least I did. Would I order from them again? Yes with reservations depending on the circumstance of what/how much I'm purchasing and where it's located.

Bait and Switch
ordered paid for and even told was being shipped, no such thing 2 weeks passed then they told me they didn't have the solar panels in stock. offered me Alaapa solar panels at no extra cost, while the panels were better there were less of them 31 instead of 36.
This was a 2kw difference, and as anyone know the math going into all systems that's a big difference volt/ amp wise. The project was time sensitive. the offer was more than the original, and I felt as if it was a bait and switch move. Bottom line im still getting emails for the first panels @ same price, from their web page, they never responded, and i feel that they are not trustworthy of $6,000 of my money.

We want to clarify an important point: once we were notified that the originally ordered panels were no longer available, you were always given the option of a full refund if the alternative panels did not meet your technical or project requirements. Offering an alternative at no additional cost is intended to help customers keep their projects moving, not to pressure them into a change. If the alternative configuration (including total wattage, panel count, or electrical characteristics) was not suitable—as in your case—a refund was and remains the correct path forward.
Because customers retain full control to either:
- accept an alternative or
- decline it and receive a full refund,
this is not a bait-and-switch practice. There is no obligation to proceed with a substitute product, and no funds are retained against a customer’s wishes.
Regarding the website listings and emails: inventory availability can change rapidly, and listings may remain active while backend confirmations are still being reconciled. That said, your feedback highlights a communication gap, and we take that seriously.
We absolutely understand why this experience affected your trust, and we regret that it did. If there is still an outstanding refund or unresolved matter, our team is committed to ensuring it is fully addressed.

I've been researching solar for months…
I've been researching solar for months before finally placing my order, and I have to say the whole experience went beyond what I expected. The website was simple to navigate, all the technical data sheets were available, and payment went through without a hitch. What impressed me the most was the pickup process - the warehouse staff took real time to help.
They didn't just throw the panels is my truck; they actually inspected each one together with me, pointed with me, pointed out what to look for in case of damage, and gave me extra cardboard sheets to protect them on the drive home.
That kind of attention to detail shows they know what they're doing. The panels are now up and running on my roof, and the performance is strong, even on partly cloud days. I genuinely feel like I made a solid long-term investment and will gladly come back here if I expand my system.

Easy and friendly
The website was extremely easy to browse through all the different options they had. Used Zelle payment that took off almost $100 from the total.
The pickup was insanely easy. Went to the third party with my truck, people there were insanely nice and loaded the truck for me, gave me advice on how to strap the panels since the bed was a little short, and sent me on my way!
Would buy again from them in a heartbeat.

-then I started to compare and contrast, this company came up with excellent YouTube videos, the kind of stuff specific to DIY.
(Spot on explanations, everything from why, to how, to comparisons, just loads of info)

Purchase was easy
Purchase was easy. I first started a wire transfer but then realized my bank would charge me for it, so I canceled that transaction and started a new one with Zelle and informed A1. They quickly and effortlessly cancelled the first one and processed the second. Pickup was also super easy, the warehouse they partnered with had great staff and packaged everything well. I would definitely do business with them again

The follow thru after paying by Zelle was excellent. I received email and text notifications just as described fairly quickly. I scheduled my pick up with the Mesa, Arizona 3rd party warehouse. My order was palletized very well to fit in my F150. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I saved nearly 25% over all other quotes on my panels plus did not have to pay for shipping. The A1 commpany has a very efficient model that works to save the end user money.

The order process and pick up process…
The order process and pick up process went very well. A1 provided constant communication about my order and it was ready as communicated. My order was on a pallet on arrival, however, i removed the panels from the pallet to inspect. The bottom panel was glass side down on the wooden pallet. Fortunately no damage to the glass but could have been if transported that way. No cardboard or any protection for the glass. Overall very happy with ordering from A1.

I ordered two Canadian 450w panel shipments in two months, one for 30 panel, the other for 20 panels. It couldn't have gone better!
Price, communication, shipping details and support were all excellent! Obviously, they are a "middle man", but their "Price, communication, shipping details and support were all excellent"! I will definitely consider A1 Solar for future panel purchases.
