Aggressive and not what we asked for.
I am very disappointed with the company's response and their complete lack of accountability.
They continue to refer to the contract, which clearly states that a low threshold door was to be installed. The reality is that they have fitted a door with a 70mm threshold, which is not classified as a low threshold. A 70mm threshold is at the upper end of a standard threshold (typically 50–70mm), so referring back to the contract only reinforces my concerns rather than addressing them.
I cannot fault the quality of the installation itself—the workmanship is good. My issue is simply that the product installed is not what was requested or what the contract specifies.
The company's claim that I refused to pay is also misleading. I paid the invoice within half an hour of the installation being completed, despite being unhappy with the product supplied. The only thing I refused to do was sign the completion paperwork because I could not honestly confirm that the installation had been completed as specified in the contract.
Unfortunately, this is a situation that is unlikely to be resolved to either party's satisfaction. My advice to anyone considering this company is to read the contract very carefully and ensure every specification is clearly defined in writing. In my experience, the contract does not contain enough detail to guarantee that you will receive the product you believe you are ordering.

We installed exactly what you asked for which is a low uPVC threshold which is stated on the contract then on the surveyors report then order cleared by one of our members of staff in the office where they went through your order thoroughly before we went into processing your door. 3 times this was stated to you and by you, you also added on a cill which of course raises the threshold all asked for by you. You then told us you are not paying for the installation which by the way you have stated was a quality installation, we did everything we was contracted to do to the specifications you wanted and yet still didn't want to pay for the work we have carried out. The word shameful springs to mind especially when you had a £100 discount that shouldn't have stood and in my opinion you still owe but has been over looked.

We have installed a upvc low threshold as per the contract and the survey. The cill has raised the hight of the threshold in total at your request. We can only install what you asked us to install Harry and for that you point blank said you wont be paying for a quality installation and top quality door to our collections team.
There is nothing to address we have fulfilled the contract to the specifications that you have picked.

We had our new door fitted yesterday, 21/7/26 i am so pleased with how everything went. 1st Glass have delivered a 1st class service. They said they would ring the day before instalation, they did, the two vuys who attended were very nice, and explained everything regarding the keys and how to register them in case of any replacement needed in the future. Once completed,ther tidied up and left it looking good. I received a follow up call from them today, to ask if we were happy with everything. I would recommend to anybody wanting a professional job to contact 1st Glass you will not be disappointed!

Absolute Cinema!!
Really happy with the new uPVC front door fitted by 1st Glass UK. The quality of the door is excellent and it's made a huge difference to the look of the front of the house.
Dean and Martin did a great job with the installation. They turned up on time, were friendly and professional throughout, and took care to leave everything clean and tidy once they were finished.
A great experience from start to finish. I'd definitely recommend 1st Glass UK.

Excellent company
From deciding to proceed with 1stGlass uk due to the quality of their product for the cost compared to other companies was the best decision, service from sales to installation was seamless, Lee Jones our installer arrived on time was pleasant and polite given our install was not a straight forward one this did not phase him the job was completed to perfection the area fully cleaned and full working instructions given before he left.
Follow up call from the company to ensure all went well and we are satisfied.
If you are thinking of a composite door or any other product I would not hesitate to recommend 1st Glass uk.

Amazing company with a first class service. I was kept informed at every stage from ordering to installation. Lee the installer came exactly in the agreed time and date . He was extremely friendly did an amazing job of fitting the door it looks amazing and is excellent quality -He took everything away including the old door and cleaned up . You wouldn’t even know he’d been except for leaving me with a beautifully fitted new front door I am totally delighted with it and couldn’t recommend the company highly enough
