I've been using WP Engine for several years as my web host and have been very happy with the service.

WPEngine continues to shine. We've trusted them for three years and it's the best decision we've made for our sites.

When I was having accessibility issues, the support team was quickly able to solve my issue after submitting a help ticket. Friendly staff and great customer service!

WP Engine's superior support makes their managed wordpress hosting worth every penny. We've hosted multiple sites with them for many years and have never had a support issue they couldn't resolve. If their AI-generated suggestions don't fix the issue, you can ask for a live agent. Their agents are super helpful and highly skilled. WP Engine may actually be the one service that I can always rely on with zero worries.

I’ve been with WP Engine 8+ years, built 80+ sites, and used to recommend them. This year I upgraded to an additional dedicated Ecom server for a major client—only to lose that client and jeopardize my relationship with several other clients all because of failed promises from WPengine’s untested Smart Search and Page Boost, which they acknowledged.
Most people would have just hired a lawyer and sued, but I tried to resolve it. After 9 months, 350 emails, 15 meetings, and promises from two VPs, they still couldn’t deliver on old nor new promises THEY made. Then they simply stopped responding. Yesterday they terminated my account, giving me 6 weeks to move 55+ sites. Their excuse? According to the ‘VP of Customer Experience’ they “couldn’t meet my expectations.” That’s gaslighting—they broke their promises repeatedly, but I’m the problem? Zero accountability!
The truth: WP Engine is relentless at upselling. Every “account manager” pressures you to upgrade by default. For 4 years I’ve asked the same question about spam traffic (which became 90% of all traffic at times) and now AI bot traffic, and every time I get the same run-around. The solution always = pay more. I was even told to 'upgrade' just months after upgrading to the new server. How does that make any sense?
Support has increasingly become poorer and poorer - even AFTER upgrading me to a higher support tier. It took over 2 weeks to get back to me when ALL my sites were repeatedly going down a few weeks ago. First they blew me off saying they were false errors, then they said it was actually a FB AI bot which they are now rate limited - something I had been asking for for years which apparently they were not capable of doing until now?
If you ask, “How many PHP threads does my server use, and at how many MB per?” they refuse to answer—claiming it’s “proprietary information.” Yet we’re still forced to upgrade, even when Storage, Bandwidth, and Visits aren’t maxed out. How can we be responsible for costs we’re not even allowed to see? This is zero transparency, pure upsell pressure.
Superb hosting and excellent customer service. WP Engine never disappoints and are always quick to resolve any issues I have with my 3 hosted sites.

Site down for over 2 hours. Chat widget does not let you open a new ticket. And they stopped responding and our site is still down. These guys used to be great. Too bad.

I've been using WP Engine for a few years now and feel confident about my sites. When I've had to call customer support, they were always helpful and patient.

I've used WPE for multiple companies and sites over 10+ years, and it's hands-down the best WordPress host. I've tried less expensive options and immediately regretted it. I know I can count on WPE for stability and uptime, and when I've needed to contact Support, they are the fastest and most helpful of any hosting provider I've used. I just used their AI agent for the first time and it was surprisingly helpful as compared to other AI agents (in general, not limited to hosting providers). I continue to be a fan of WPE and will continue hosting sites here.

Have chatted with WPE support a couple times this week, and the last experience the agent was very distracted, took a long time between responses, didn't exactly give me the right answers because I just don't think he was paying attention. Also, didn't send me a transcript after I asked multiple times - since WPE removed that option at the end of the conversations to send a copy to yourself. Not very happy with today's experience.

I had an issue with the link between Elementor Pro and ACF. Even though I use the free ACF option, they where very helpful with the support.

The support is really cooperative and responsive, and it was a great experience with them.

I've been in web design, development and hosting for 25 years. I've gone through 7 previous hosts for my clients before WPengine. In 2017, I ran across WPengine and gave it a shot, and I have had nothing but a great experience ever since. I found previously that WPengine saves me close to 40 hours per year in monitoring, management, and development, primarily as their tech support is definitely the best. So, the hosting pays for itself in time optimization. I recently upgraded (finally) to a custom server solution for growth, and working with the engineers was amazing too. I cannot recommend WPengine enough, and reading some negative comments here, the posts I read are user error problems (1D1OT5) as opposed to actual WPengine issues.
