Great experience for an upcoming trip
For an upcoming trip, I had specific requirements that I needed in an insurance policy. While reviewing several different companies, I found the information online myself. The difference with World Nomads was the option for an annual policy. Further, they made it easy to review what activities were covered as well as the countries that were covered. When I emailed them with questions, I expected a response in a week. However, they responded quickly and personally addressing my questions and making it feel the experience personal.

World Nomads - Reliable and Tested
We always use World Nomads when we travel out of the United States. We have been with friends that have had to use the medical coverage out of the country, and WN was great to work with and make the process easy. It gives me peace of mind when traveling.

My policy got cancelled by mistake and refunded. This could have been catastrophic if I was traveling without any insurance. I had to repurchase - so far so good. I can only comment on my purchase experience which wasn’t smooth but probably just a one off accident and not the usual customer service.

Well buying the insurance was straight forward enough. After all, companies always like to take your money. I have no idea how they respond to claims or support you. It seems a bit premature and irrelevant to be sending a survey when no service has been provided.

I needed 250,000 Medical and 500,000…
I needed 250,000 Medical and 500,000 evacuation for a cruise I am taking to the Antarctic where the cruise line requires these minimums.
I went on the World Nomads website and chose a plan that supposedly met these minimums only to find out when the actual plan came through, the evacuation limits were ONLY at $75,000 with no reduction in the high premiums they quoted on the website for a $500,000 plan.
I was absolutely shocked and appalled at what felt like a bait and switch scheme, I input my requirements on their website and they came back with, yes we can support these requirements for X amount of dollars I paid those X amount of dollars and that is not what came through on the actual plan, like I said I needed a $500,000 of evacuation and they came back with $75,000 and yet charged me the full amount?? This is unethical!!
They have a 10 day cancellation policy, which I have exercised within the 10 day period, but I’ve heard nothing from them on my claim.
