THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Holds onto investments even after you’ve sold them and after the settlement time. Still waiting for investments to settle. Honestly, the worst banking/trading experience I have ever dealt with.

⭐ 1 Star – Avoid at all costs

Absolutely unacceptable service from Plum.

I urgently requested a Lifetime ISA statement for a live mortgage application and received no response for over 15 hours. Anyone who has been through the mortgage process knows how fast things move — when you’re asked for documents, you often need to provide them the same day. Not being able to access a simple statement quickly is completely unacceptable for a financial provider.

To make matters worse, the so-called live chat is ineffective, there is no phone number to call, and support simply ignores you when it actually matters. You are left with no way to get urgent help when you need it most.

Between myself and my partner, we have over £14,000 saved with Plum, yet when we need basic support and access to our own funds information, there is zero urgency or accountability.

This situation is now putting our property purchase at risk and could cost us a significant amount of money — all because Plum cannot provide a basic document in a reasonable timeframe.

Once this process is complete, I will be closing my account immediately. I have completely lost trust in this service.

I strongly advise that no one uses Plum, especially if you are relying on them for something as important as a house deposit. When it matters most, they let you down.

Avoid Plum if you value your interest – hidden costs everywhere.

Be extremely wary of Plum’s "non-flexible" ISA. The only way to move your money while protecting your tax-free allowance is via a formal transfer. However, Plum penalises you heavily for doing so.
​By transferring out, I lost my entire bonus interest AND all unpaid interest for the month—costing me £100 in total. They make it nearly impossible to leave without taking a massive financial hit. They might offer decent rates, but they’ll find a way to claw that money back the moment you try to switch providers. Absolute thieves.

From what you’ve described, it sounds like your transfer took place during an active bonus period. With our Cash ISA, the bonus interest is calculated daily but is only paid out at the end of the bonus period, as long as the account remains open and funded.

If the account is closed or transferred out before that period ends, both the bonus and any interest accrued during that month (but not yet paid) are forfeited. This is outlined in our Terms, but we completely understand that it may not always be as clear in practice.

I love this app

I love this app, I use it mostly for savings, it will take out money that is disposable and pop it into this account, it's not a lot but comes in really handy for birthdays and Christmas

I love this app

I love this app, if I'm honest there's no way I would have saved as much as I have over the past 3 years, it saves money through multiple ways, rounding up to the pound, naughty spending (mine is Google play) anytime I purchase a game pack on Google play i pay £2 into a pot that goes into my savings or investments, amongst multiple other fun saving strategies,
It's a god send if you suck at savings... Like myself.

Been with plum for a few years, super app, i have the plum card as well, great way to save and manage your money, always in control of your finances always say when and how much money they are taking from your account. Definately recommend.

I have sold the investment and they are…

I have sold the investment and they are just holding the money. It has been weeks and I can’t access my money at all.

They keep apologising but I’m still significantly out of pocket and they can’t explain why.

DO NOT INVEST ANYTHING WITH THEM.
