When I took out the ISA it was at a great rate but obviously not now. I never intended to invest the full amount though. I quite like that they save a random amount for me each month. I have a few inv... See more

Poor coordination using app
Set up a cash isa and few days later was requested to provide ID using the app but it already shows as verified when I open app. Very frustrating

Problems with app adding funds
App loaded ok but I put a savings account as the external funding account. Think this should have been a current account as my money would not transfer to new Plum ISA.
So tried to change external funding account to current account via app. Seemed to work, but when I tried to transfer over, it still was trying to take from the original account.
Customer services did try and help several times, but I had to uninstall and reinstall app about 3 times and also my other banking app, which then locked me out for a day!
No telephone option for contact! The online services couldn't do anything at their end, so a waste of my time for a few days!
Expect they are not bothered, but I am very disappointed with Plum as THEY missed out on my full ISA funding.
I am used to doing alot of financial things online, so this app wasn't very good and looks like they want you to invest in other products as well, so gets a bit confusing after a time, irrespective of the funding side.
I was worried that with all the trouble in trying to get my money to them, if I had to get access at a later stage, then would it work????
No prepared to take the risk!
No telephone option, therefore shit service waiting for emails to go back and forward!

Plum difficulties
I posted a review of Plum back in 2024 saying I found the app impenetrable. Today I gave Plum anotherr try. Firstly as Plum had my email on file I could not use rhe same one again and was asked to use another. That I did and filled in the personal info which was not accepted. I do know my own name and address but the app knew better. Tried the bot and got nowhere and asked to speak to support. Waited 30 minutes and got no response. Tried to send a message but the send tab did not work. Know they're very busy but disappointed with lack of support. Plum support came back quickly but due to failure in their validation process could not fix the problem

Excellent way of saving without…
Excellent way of saving without noticing.
Possible to invest also and prioritise where your savings are automatically placed.
Unable to communicate with Customer Services
I opened a Cash ISA 4 days ago and have been experiencing difficulty with it. I have tried several times to converse with somebody (Web Chat seems their favoured method) and was told that somebody would get back to me. They didn't and I have tried several times again with no success. Their customer services seems to be non-real-time so it is virtually impossible to have a conversation. If I could give then no stars then I would.

Can't transfer out my ISA
Plum is an APP and not a bank. I am struggling to transfer out the ISA I hold with them. They are not replying to emails or to in APP messages.
There are in APP help pages saying 'just ask your new provider to initiate the transfer', which' must be electronic transfer'.
But having opened an ISA with OakNorth Bank, they cannot communicate with Plum or transfer in from Plum as Plum are not on their electronic transfer list which is a very very long list of providers. My money is trapped in Plum - very unhappy.

I absolutely love Plum
I absolutely love Plum, I have managed to save for a whole new bathroom, I did not realise how much money I would save by doing the round ups.
In control
I have been with Plum couple of years now and i feel totally in control they have been nothing but help they keep me update with all changes. I feel I am with their help in control of my savings.
A tricky ISA structure
A tricky ISA structure
Conditional bonus payments on ISAs aren't new, and aren't confined to PLUM, so it pays to read T&Cs carefully and understand exactly what the conditions are.
The structure of PLUM's variable rate, instant access, cash ISA effectively traps you in the account for one year, rendering it near identical to the one-year fixed term, fixed rate products of other ISA providers.
PLUM's headline interest rate is a base rate + bonus.
The bonus is paid at the end of the first year, and is forfeited entirely if you close or transfer your ISA before the year end.
This structure effectively keeps you in the easy access variable rate account for one year, unless you are prepared to lose any accrued bonus.
The bonus varies for new accounts throughout the year, but it is fixed for 12 months at that day's rate on the opening of an account. The allows PLUM to vary the total interest paid on new accounts, without changing the interest rate received on an existing variable rate account.
It sounds complicated, but in short you could hold a variable rate cash ISA with PLUM, opened in August 2025 paying a total of 3.85%, but find exactly the same product currently marketed at 4.6%. Sadly if you were to transfer your ISA to the better paying version, or to another provider, you would lose any accrued bonus, reducing the rate paid on your existing (3.85%) account to just 2.54%.

Very poor service
Very poor service. The account was successfully opened, and while I was still getting familiar with using it, it was suddenly closed for no apparent reason. It feels completely arbitrary and unprofessional. I would not recommend opening an account or depositing money with them.

New Plum app user
I’m new the Plum app and have had limited exposure to investing. My first experience has been very positive, it has easy to use investing opportunities and good built in AI. Would recommend.

I am pleased with this app
I am pleased with this app. I only need to learn more about shares and stocks but I love the automatic savings and allowing me to really be more aware of my money and where it's going.
Awful experience. I have tried to open an account but I…
I have tried to open an account but I get to the AI page, ask for a team member and then the chat disappears or unless I stay looking at the screen for two minutes it goes back to the start. Awful service

Plum has been brilliant
Plum has been brilliant. A very competitive interest rate on savings accounts to help grow your money. Plum has helped me pay off my loan and get a deposit together to buy a house. Would highly recommend
Disappointing
Opened a cache ISA and it took 2 days to add the money while I didn't know where my money was! Then it came out money was added to "pocket" instead of ISA and needed another manual transfer which took an extra day! - inexistent comminunication!
Very confusing and inconsistent User Interface, it feels shaky and not very reliable.
