APP blocked me out of the blue
Opening the account was kinda OK, debit card came by courier (with ID check). BUT just now the app asks me to confirm / update details such as UAE residential address, total income, (expected) in and out going monthly transaction volume (with percentage in cash), tax residencies in other countries with TIN, source of funds (4 options to chooses from) - not too difficult if one has those details at hand, BUT: if you don't enter them you CAN NOT access the app; NO SKIP-BUTTON, no grace period. THIS IS A TOTAL NO-GO !!!
Imagine one has to quickly do something simple, like check if a payment has arrived OK while being on the phone with the payer and can only say "sorry, my bank's APP has blocked me".
I'd advocate WIO getting fined for bringing such shame over banking in the UAE.

Terrible , unclear onboarding process for business banking and it is painstakingly long if your parent company isn’t located in UAE. Call centre agents are clueless . Stay away!!!
Fast Easy account opening for business
Let’s be honest the banking experience in the UAE is not the best. I tried to open a business account at many of the bigger banks, but they made it incredibly difficult. WIO opened my business bank account in less than 3 days. It’s early days, but my experience with the entire UAE banking sector as been incredibly negative. I appreciate KYC and AML, but you cannot expect someone to start a business and then take 6 months to open an account. I applaud Wio for trying to shake things up and make the process to open an account easy. Let’s see how the longer term banking experience goes…..
Lousy service. Terrible.
I've been a Wio customer for a few years now - since just after it launched. It's very basic banking operations work fine. But if you have a question, good luck getting any response at all.
Service is TERRIBLE. Not responsive at all, Whatsapp channel is useless, slow, inaccurate and basically a waste of effort.
I do not recommend this service at all due to the lousy customer service.

If you want lots of trouble getting access to your own funds, and if you want a bank without any kind of support, then this is the bank for you.
Had lots of trouble. I tried to email them at care@. Getting an automated response saying the "DO NOT REPLY. This email address is not operational." So I call them. The people picking up tell me to email care@. They don't even know that this email is not operational. The infinite loop. And no one in the company cares.

Worst ever experience with a banking application. Onc you deposited money they open old request and whitelist your account and your blocked. your account is inaccessible. you have to make 100 calls and chats.

I saw a lot of negative reviews on this bank before getting to the UAE, I can say I had an absolute wonderful service from start to finish.
I managed to set up both my personal and business accounts within a matter of minutes and had my bank cards and cheque books delivered to me within 3 business days of opening the accounts. Customer service has been amazing, sent funds from my international account to these accounts and they cleared within 3 business days.
I have to say my experience was delightful and look forward to my growth with WIO!

Pathetic service
Pathetic service. I applied for a personal bank account, and they are asking me for an Ejari. I am living in the UAE as a resident and working at a marketing agency. I applied 10 days ago and received a reply that my account would be opened in 2 to 3 days. Later, I received an email requiring proof of funds, Ejari, and an employment letter. I replied the same day and told them I had all the other documents except Ejari. Now, after 8 days, I received a reply from the bank stating that Ejari is a must. I do not have my own place to live. I heard that it's a virtual bank with a very easy account opening process and customer-friendly service. Even traditional banks did not ask me for Ejari when opening a personal current account. Very disappointed.
Pathetic & Worst Bank Ever
One of the pathetic & worst bank ever. I initiated an international transaction on May 31, 2024 and its been 23 days, the payment is still in processing. I'm unable to track it through UETR provided by the bank. Pathetic customer support service, they even don't know why my payment is taking time to process, first they asked me to wait 7 days then they asked to wait for 48 hours and now 23 days has been lapsed and they are unable to process my payment. They have the most incompetent help center team and technical team. Even I've suffered a loss due to this delay. Supplier has cancelled the contract. Never ever will recommend anyone to open an account in this pathetic bank.

I recently had a highly frustrating and disappointing experience with Wio Bank P.J.S.C. Their customer support is abysmal, to say the least. I encountered ten potentially fraudulent transactions on my account and sought their assistance to resolve the issue. Shockingly, they couldn't even identify to which accounts the money was transferred.
Over the course of this ordeal, I spoke with numerous employees via chat and phone calls. The level of communication I experienced was akin to dealing with a kindergarten class. It took an inordinate amount of time for each representative to comprehend the problem, if they ever did at all.
Wio Bank's CRM and ticketing system seem to be nonexistent. Each time I contacted them, I had to explain the issue from scratch. It was as if there were no records or notes from my previous interactions. This constant repetition was not only time-consuming but incredibly frustrating.
When I finally managed to convey the problem, the representatives uniformly told me that they needed to investigate further and promised to call me back within 30 minutes. Not a single one of them did. The lack of follow-through was appalling.
In summary, my experience with Wio Bank was a complete joke. The staff's amateurish handling of my issue, combined with their unreliable communication and nonexistent problem-tracking system, makes this bank one I would 100% not recommend. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for your banking needs.

Mine account blocked yesterday for no reasons and with no notifications about it! I keep there my savings and now I cannot withdraw them! I tried to reach the call center few times and they just said account is blocked upon police request and they cannot share more informations about it...So disappointing, I've been to police station for a check and they was shocked about this and said to raise an official complaint against the bank

If you lose access to your phone number, and forget your password: you will never get access to your bank account again. Just wave goodbye to your money. Been trying to solve the matter for 3 months now.

Even one star is still too many here. It is cruel to talk to the service both on the phone or via Whatsapp. Sometimes you don't get a response for 48 hours (and I don't mean over the weekend!) or you don't get an answer to your problems. It is the worst thing I have ever experienced in the banking sector. Transfers to my own account are not credited for up to 10 days later and I regret even opening an account here. The app is very smart and clear and functional - but that's the only thing. I will complain to Sanadak of the Central Bank of the UAE about Wio and can only advise against publishing his account here!

Worst bank in the world. Our business account of over 1 year was shut down with no reason and they gave us less than 2 weeks to find alternative banking. Crippled our business, caused damage and stress. Would NOT reccomend WIO for any banking whatsoever. AVOID. ZERO STARS.
