Declassified wine - avoid

I ordered 3 bottles of “award winning English sparkling rose” as a mystery case, which was apparently £55 a bottle RRP (had been relabelled so I still don’t know what it actually is). In any case, it tasted horrible and the quality of the wine was poor. Have poured one bottle away (couldn’t even drink a glass of it) and am stuck with two other bottles. Perhaps I can clean my paintbrushes with it.

Appreciate it was a risk in ordering but others take note! Avoid the mystery case!!

Incompetent FedEx delivery driver.

I regularly buy from Winebuyers. Always quick dispatch and good prices.
However, this time the box was left outside the main gate to the stables in the rain, instead of at the (very visible) house - i.e. like every other delivery driver manages to figure out (there is even a sign with arrows pointing "House" and "Stables"!). Box got so wet I had to carry the bottles in by hand.

Ordered and paid for a case of wine in…

Ordered and paid for a case of wine in June 2023 , still no sign of the wine or communication from the company despite numerous follow ups. No refund , no wine , no communication. Do not go near.

Fast, efficient delivery

Ordered a pack of three bottles of English Rosé wine. Arrived very quickly by courier and very well packed. Unfortunately the wine was quite bland, non descript and yellow colour, rather than the usual pink hue of Rosé. Disappointed with the wine but saw some other products on the website which I’m probably going to order.

(Not) Going out of business ?

My emails were finally returned and they tracked down the shipment. Interestingly they were about to issue a refund when the package actually arrived. Two months late but i guess better late then never.

I understand that most of the confusion had to do with the winery and shipping firms itself and dealing with so many different producers must be hard. Ive updated my rating from 1 to 3 stars. I will give them another try.

I purchased 4 bottles on 3rd of March, was supposed to be delivered that week. Got a message on March 19th about it being shipped. Late but ok. On April 9th its still not delivered.

Furthermore the phone number on their site is disconnected. Mail to their orders email bounces with technical errors on their side. The other email for support is unanswered.

Not really the experience Id repeat.

Good value!

Good range of wines at very competitive prices. The website is easy to use, and the ordering process is straightforward.

The customer services team is very responsive, and the goods were delivered without any issues.

I would have liked to receive more updates while the product was being shipped, but overall a positive experience. I would recommend.

Wine arrived earlier than expected and very well packaged. Really enjoying what was an unknown sparkling wine - wish I had bought more at the price……..

A second review with an update on Winebuyers

Bought he 2 x 3 bottle packages at £47 each, with a claimed value of nearly £200 (which was huge), and while the wines that came through didnt match the possible value, they were interesting.
I was worried it was a scam business when no email response and I couldn't call them. While there was a contact number on the website it wasn't a working number but email sent to support did get responded too a little slow and then everything worked out.
I will buy again for the right offers, just feels like I got hiccups in their processes.
