The app is awesome and easy to use. Tracking food is everything. Make sure you are getting lots of protein and fiber.

I have been out of my medication for over a week now almost two weeks.

I’ve been a lifetime Weight Watcher and recently returned as it’s becoming harder later in life to keep it off. I’m a month in and so far no progress after a few pounds the first week. Ever since they changed the points program, it doesn’t work for me. On the old Points Plus program I would have lost 10 lbs by now. Trying the meds + part too and still nothing. Will continue for 90 days and if no progress, I’ll try another program.

It’s a good program- the help is always there. Love it

The process was very slow. The App needs work. Med+ and the front end of the App don’t communicate. I was asked to provide health care information multiple times. Excluding the medication, the WW program is too expensive. They don’t help you with your health insurance, it seems as if it’s too much work for them. The push their own pharmacy.

Here is a follow up to my recent review of Weight Watchers and their unethical billing practices…
After continually letting them know that I did not want to belong to a such a despicable company anymore -mainly because of how they treated seniors and manipulated their health benefit cards - see my recent previous review ; two different representatives and their supervisors still told me not to worry about any upcoming billings as they would all be denied and also to just ignore their billing emails as well because that was just how their own policy was set up in their own system and that my subscription would eventually cancel because of it…even if a commitment was in place and they also told me that they would never send anyone to collections …
Well they did try billing my card more times ( I was even paid up in advance at this time!?) and as expected they denied my card again …
HOWEVER just this week I saw that THEY must have changed THEIR own policy and decided to allow their July billing to go through without ANY contact with me whatsoever…Even knowing that I had stated multiple times that I did not want to be a part of their company and corrupt politics anymore…
This ( again) proves to me that this company is full of unethical practices and policies…

Weight watchers is absolutely awful. I tried to cancel my medical plan per my doctor order for GLP1 and they wouldn’t let me. I tired to cancel within 24 hours of signing up and they told me I was stuck for 6 months even though I never signed anything. I was originally subject to $50 a month. They then said after the first month it was $84.99 a month, which is insane. I again called and said I couldn’t afford it and they wouldn’t let me cancel. I will never use this company again and I am

It would be good to hear from the care team more often. This refill snuck up on me because I didn't read the notice you sent in late June carefully enough.

Every person I have dealt with has been incompetent. They never read past texts, change communication people constantly. I send messages 4 or 5 times before I get any kind of real answers, most of the communication I received is something generic to supposedly answer all questions. I have been a life time member since I was 20, this is so frustrating and disappointing. I worked briefly with RO and there is no comparison. RO is so organized, you can talk to a real person, and they actually any like they care about your journey. I never got that impression from WW ever. Once my commitment is up, I'm going back to RO.

The app is user friendly for the most part, although there could better integration between My Day and Med+ so that if you enter your weight in one place it will automatically populate in both.
The clinician has been very supportive and communicative. Lots of good recipes to try. Easy to look up foods or scan products to add new ones. The scan/take a picture your plate option to know it’s point value/nutritional content could use quite a bit of work though - out of curiosity I took a picture of my medium sized hound dog and it literally said that it was 6 hot dogs, some wheat grass, and a couple other things! I then took a picture of my other similar sized dog and got another range of particular results. It made for an interesting experiment on if the feature could actually differentiate real food items from non food items (obviously my dogs are not actually something I would consider as real food for my consumption) and the results were rather entertaining! So if you want a good chuckle give it a go!! Laughter is healthy and often described as « the best medicine ». :-) Your family or friends might get a little giggle out of your results too! Just be sure to add « no actual pets were considered for consumption » as you don’t want to accidentally get someone upset thinking you’d really eat your pet (or who knows chair for all that matter!)!
Back to being serious - I have tried a couple of the workshops and can see how they can be helpful. Even though I don’t think I would likely attend any that the camera was mandatory - not for me. I can see how others would like that though.
One thing that WW should consider offering with membership is a free digital scale that automatically connects with their App, so when you weigh in the App automatically updates. Teledoc Health that is a free perk of my BCBS provides this as part of their preventative care program. They also provide a free blood pressure monitor for those who qualify, which would also make sense for WW since they frequently want you to update your blood pressure - at least with prescription refills. Since most people probably don’t have BP monitors at home, this would be a natural partner for WW and more streamline the process and be more user friendly. I am sure there are scale and BP monitor companies that would love to partner with WW on an endeavor if they aren’t already and I’m just not aware.
I did try to use AirPlay with a workout and it started to load but didn’t fully - this could be an OE on me but screen mirroring would be extremely useful for me in trying to follow a workout rather than trying to depend on watching a person on a tiny phone screen at some awkward angle.
Overall, I would recommend the experience I’ve had with WW to others. I’ve found it to be easier to stick with than other similar programs for food tracking and weight loss I’ve used in the past. There are no major issues I’ve experienced, only enhancements that could be made. I do think that the program is quite adaptable for people who only want basic support to others who want a wider range of support with nutrition counseling, medication, workouts, work shops, etc. I am glad that I decided to give WW a try!
Results so far: after ~ 6 weeks I’ve just earned my 15 lb charm! This broke a personal milestone in my weight loss journey that I was unable to obtain on my own in the past.
These are all my own experiences and are not in any way incentivized to share in this review. Good luck on your journey!
