Where do I start,
My wife last year had a gastric Bypass and had brilliant care,
This year was my turn. From booking to landing back home after the procedure its been brilliant support and always consultants on the end of an email and phone.
Surgeon was brilliant, staff nurses spoke a little English some better than others but we are in their country so.what can you expect.
I would highly recommended using this company as we looked into it before my wife had hers for over a year.
Just go for it and change your life.

Weight Loss Riga were excellent from start to finish. The coordinators are knowledgeable and efficient. The process of having surgery abroad can be quite stressful but WLR make it as easy and smooth as possible. The clinic is spotless and the staff very professional and caring. Everything runs like clockwork from the taxi at the airport pick up to the surgery and aftercare…. Questions are answered before you even ask. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering weight loss surgery

We found the team in the U.K. and in Latvia helpful and informative. The information provide was useful and simple to understand. The service in Latvia was thorough and executed with precise precision. The hotel was pleasant and well maintained, the clinic of excellent standard. Afraid there was absolutely no pink and fluffy, it was very much get the job done if safe to do so. Would go back for more cosmetic treatment as and when required.

Everyone was very helpful with answering any questions made the whole process very easy and stress free. Definitely would recommend to anyone. Thank you

From the initial application all the way to the after care, the journey of having a gastric bypass has been unbelievably simple. Whilst in the clinic I couldn't have been looked after better. The nurses were lovely and speak fluent English, the surgeons explained everything so well and the procedure was effortless) on my part at least).
A special thank you the the anesthetist who gentle caressed my arm during both anesthetic injections. Due to traveling alone, those caressing moments meant more to me than the anethetist would ever know.
Ill be bakc for more surgery.

Weight Loss Riga are a very efficient, competent and well organised company. It was a smooth process from the first contact right through to returning home. The UK co-ordinators are knowledgeable and get back to you very quickly to answer any queries that you may have. They don't arrange flights but everything else is done for you, from airport transfers, hotel bookings, all transfers between hotel and clinic, extensive pre -op tests and dates of surgery. There is a co-ordinator in Latvia who speaks very good English, as does the surgeon and his team. The clinic is small, very clean and very well equipped with modern equipment. My only one negative comment would be that the beds in the clinic are very uncomfortable!!! Not a huge problem as you only stay 2 or 3 nights and you sleep well regardless due to the anaesthetic and painkillers! A bonus is that Riga is a lovely clean, green and small capital city, well worth a look around. I'm now back at home, 10 days post op. My scars have healed very well and are small and neat. My real journey begins now! Huge thanks to everyone at Weight Loss Riga.

Hi all
I went to weight loss riga in november 2020 and i weighed 21st 7lb.
Thanks to mim, artur and all the amazing medical team i now weight 12st 4lb... after only 8 months.
Dont just think about it, DO IT.
I wish i had done it 10 years ago.
I travelled on my own because if you take someone with you, they will be sat in the hotel for 4 days on there own.... scary, no... exciting, yes.
From my first contact with Mim, to meeting artur in riga, to meeting the surgeon and all the nurses, i cant fault any of it. You are treated amazingly well. You get collected from the airport and taken to the hotel, next morning you get collected from the hotel and taken to the clinic, then its a medical... chest xray, ultrasound scan, blood test, and the dreaded camara down your throat... a very detailed medical exam.... next day its your op... i had the mini bypass on the tuesday and i flew home on the thursday... no complications and 8 months post op i am over 9 stone lighter

Never ever have I felt this experience is was totally outstanding from booking to receiving paperwork to arriving at Riga,hotel experience and then hospital amazing,cant fault all the team,Mim,Sue Artur especially and then the hospital staff were 2nd to none so so professionally about the care from entering to leaving Just wish I had done it sooner.
Here's to my new life now thanks to Riga weightloss.

From my initial consultation, to my actual surgery date everything went so smooth and hasslefree. Mim and Georgia where amazing sorting all my Bookings etc and everything was arranged before i went.
I stayed at the wellton Spa Hotel, it was spotless.
Artur was absolutley fantastic looked after us the whole time and always only a text or call away.
Clinic was fabulous, staff and Surgeons where so caring and made you feel at ease. All pre op tests are VERY thourough.
My surgery went exactly to plan and i am now 1 week post gastric bypass and 12lbs loss and feeling fabulous!
Already planning my next visit for more cosmetic surgery :-) :-)

I had my surgery at the Aiwa Clinic on 13th July 2021. Nurses and all the staff were lovely. Everything is run so efficiently. Just like clockwork. The Clinic was spotless clean! I really cannot fault my experience.

Excellent from start to finish. So easy to do, was fully informed and Mim answered all my questions before booking.

Riga is a lovely, safe country with a clean and modern clinic which is held to EU standards. Don’t risk your health going to the cheapest place you can find in Turkey, it’s major surgery and not worth the risk to save a few £££.

Riga is excellent and all you have to arrange yourself are your flights! The hotel, all transfers and clinic stay is included. So very grateful to all the team for my new life.

From the first time l contacted WLR all my worries were put to bed. The team are so helpful, informative and friendly. As soon as l arrived in Riga l felt l was in safe hands. The hotel was very nice and comfortable. The clinic was exceptionally clean and all the staff were lovely. My procedure went well and l felt safe and well looked after. The only criticism l have is how uncomfortable the beds at the clinic are, everything else was perfect.

Great from start to finish… little bit of a language barrier on the ward but nothing Google translate can’t sort.. highly recommend

I was pretty nervous about travelling abroad for surgery and thoroughly researched several hospitals that provided this as a package for UK Patients.
With so many video and personal recommendations here and else where for a Weight Loss Riga, I took the plunge and made an enquiry.
From the start Mim and her team in the UK gave me all the info I needed, answered all my questions and put my mind at rest with no forceful sell.
I travelled to Riga and Artur arranged the transfer and bloods/Covid test to be done at the hotel, all went like clockwork.
Early the next morning I was again picked up and taken to the Hospital. Checked in and loads of pre op tests done to ensure I was healthy enough for the op. Again, the whole thing ran like clockwork with no issues at all.
The next day was surgery day and all went well. I stayed in the Hospital for another two days and then back to the Hotel for a comfy night before the flight home the next day.

I can’t thank Mim, Artur, the awesome stuff and surgeon at the Hospital, enough. All of them were brilliant.
Absolutely highly recommended and you will be very well looked after.

Arrived in Latvia and didn't know what to expect!!

Thats soon changed, every aspect was higher (much higher) than expectations.

Mim helped me organise my booking and what I needed, Artur ensured all our transfers and paperwork was together when we arrived, hotel was luxurious. And Riga itself was beautiful.

My op was 100% successful currently lost 12.5lbs 1 week post op and looking forward to my continuing journey. Don't remember seeing g the surgeons much but from what I did they spoke great English did a super job and had a sparkling clean operating theatre.
