terrible customer service

terrible customer service. sent email and on chat bot with literally zero response. I purchased my products online n paid it but waited nearly 1 month to get my product, would have been nice if I get a heads up when I can expect if there is delay. totally to contact whatsoever and so unprofessional. Update @ 6/7 the founder got in touch and I did received my product and a refund as well. Which I must say is rare service and should be applauded for. It must have been one off slip up as I have been buying from centred for a year and products always arrive quite quickly.

Amaing Product

I’ve always had issues with dried scalp as I suffer with psoriasis which often leaves me feeling itchy after using various shampoo. I’ve tried numerous hair products over the years which have only agitated my head and made it flakier. So it was my first time trying rosemary oil as I had been hearing some good things about it, so I had to try the En-root scalp oil. The application was easy, and the scalp massage brush was great and felt nice for massaging the oil into the scalp. I decided to leave it in my scalp for almost an hour and half, then washed it out applying centred heighted voloumising shampoo.

I was amazed with the results, as my head did not feel itchy for the first time, and I did not need to wash again for a good few days afterwards. I was so happy with how the rosemary oil and shampoo made my hair feel.

I did try the rosemary oil and washed it out without shampoo, but it was not as effective for me that time round, but I think my hair does require some shampoo after not as much as usual though, so defiantly still worth a try for everyone to try the rosemary oil on it own to see their own results. I would highly recommend the scalp massager to go with it as really helps with the scalp application.

Also, you can leave the rosemary oil in from 20 minutes to 2 hrs, I found that leaving mine for around an hour has worked best, but again that’s my opinion and some may not require it in as long. Highly recommend these products to try they have been a great help to me.

SEE and TALK to your GP BEFORE buying hair supplements and hair products

Please look into and read up on hair supplements BEFORE buying.

I've purchased the Centred capsules, scalp oil and volume shampoo over 6 months My hair was shedding. Like many of us looked online for help advice and support.

What I didn't do was contact my GP to address the issue which I and you should do before turning to any supplements or products.

After a couple of months of taking the capsules, oil and shampoo the shedding eased a little but was experiencing some intermittent scalp itch.

I wrote to the co-founders to give my findings. However, the shedding continued and then became as bad as it first was I still had intermittent scalp itching but my scalp felt sore in places.

I saw my GP who noticed my scalp and hair was dry and some inflammation. I had a blood test and short of folic acid, and prescribed Nizoral shampoo and folic acid. Over a month on, my shedding, inflammation and itching stopped.

It's normal to lose up to 150 hairs a day. "But by age 60, about 80 percent of men and 40 percent of women will have a measurable amount of hair loss. The cause is usually genetic: male- and female-pattern hair loss. Thyroid problems, stress, trauma, autoimmune disease, and nutrient deficiency can also cause hair loss.

Supplements: Many dietary supplements are marketed for hair growth, most with high levels of the B vitamin biotin.

Worth trying? Probably not. A 2017 review of studies found little evidence that biotin offsets hair loss except in the rare instance of biotin deficiency.

Can a Supplement Make a Difference?
The specific nutrients in hair, skin, and nail supplements include antioxidants like vitamins A, C, and E, or Coenzyme Q10, and also biotin, a B-complex vitamin. Hair supplements often contain manganese and selenium as well as fatty acids like fish oil and flaxseed oil.

Deficiencies of these nutrients, although uncommon, may cause a range of hair—and, sometimes, skin and nail—changes. Over time, for instance, insufficient intake of vitamins A and E can cause rough, scaly skin patches. A deficiency of biotin may cause eczema and hair loss.

But for those with no clear deficiencies, experts say there's no good evidence that supplements can make a difference. Two 1990s studies did find that biotin supplements may help strengthen soft, easily breakable nails but the studies were small and not rigorously conducted and haven't been replicated.

A lot of hair supplements also have biotin but for people with normal levels, its never been shown that taking a supplement will increase hair growth. Most people get enough of the nutrients mentioned above through diet, but in rare cases, a medical problem may cause a deficiency or affect your hair, nails, or skin. People who take antibiotics long-term or use antiseizure drugs, for instance, are more likely to be biotin-deficient. An over or underactive thyroid may cause hair loss and dry strands.

If you're experiencing chronic hair, nail, or skin problems for no clear reason, talk with your GP. It's important for your GP to determine whether you're deficient in a particular nutrient. If you are, you can be supplemented the correct way.

The risk in taking supplements without seeing a doctor first: Getting too much of a nutrient—like vitamin A, for instance—can trigger hair loss just as getting too little can. Keep in mind that dietary supplements are not tightly regulated by the Food and Drug Administration and might contain substances not listed on the label or have much less or more of an ingredient than promised.

Manage the Damage: Several lifestyle strategies can help you keep your hair, skin, and nails healthy. Try the following: Eat enough protein. It's important to maintain a healthy diet for overall health. But getting 30 percent of your daily calories from protein (preferably lean) can help keep your hair in shape.

Be cautious with hair dye (semi permanent is less damaging than permanent), blow dryers, flat irons, and styles such as tight ponytails. Run a humidifier in your bedroom or office to keep the air between 30 and 50 percent humidity. If you smoke, work at quitting.
It’s natural to lose strands of hair every day. Stress and certain health conditions may cause increased shedding. To date, no clinical studies show that hair vitamins and supplements promote hair growth, prevent hair loss or improve other facets of healthy hair such as dryness, shine and thickness. In rare cases in which poor hair health is caused by nutrient deficiencies, taking supplements may improve hair quality.

Remember that there are multiple reasons for shedding and or hair loss but please see your GP first to get to the root cause.

Hi Brian, thanks very much for your in depth feedback. We exist primarily to serve others going through a similar problem to that of our founder Laura Tudor who suffered with severe hair loss back in 2017 due to burnout stress from her career as a designer. After years of research trying to get the the root of her problem and together with the expertise of her husbands 20 years in the hair industry, the couple initiated the development of their collection, what is now the CENTRED range. Why? because of what they learned through recovering her hair, combined with their unique skill sets and the latest scientific data that existed showcasing the most effective natural solutions for supporting healthy hair growth. This is why we created our range of inside out solutions. It is the combination of supplements alongside topicals that really works.

We always advocate for the importance of diet and stress management in maintaining healthy hair as well as visiting your GP for a routine blood test if you are experiencing hair loss however from our experience in this situation, GP's don't take hair loss too seriously and often prescribe pharmaceutical solutions which have associated side effects.

Here is a list of some evidence that exists to support the efficacy of supplementing with specific ingredients for hair growth and condition:

Biotin: Widely known as vitamin B7, it is often recommended for hair health. A review of studies published in the "Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology" indicated that biotin supplementation can lead to measurable improvements in hair quality and growth in individuals with biotin deficiency. Biotin acts by enhancing keratin infrastructure which can help improve hair structure.

Vitamin D: A study in the "Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology" suggests that vitamin D can play a crucial role in the creation of new hair follicles and may help restore hair growth.

Zinc: An article in "Dermatology Research and Practice" highlighted zinc's role in hair follicle health. Zinc supplementation is often used to combat hair loss, especially for individuals with a zinc deficiency.

Iron: Studies have linked iron deficiency to hair loss, particularly in women. Iron plays a vital role in hair growth and health, and supplements may benefit those who are deficient.

also. one long-term study focused on the efficacy of a nutraceutical supplement formulated to promote hair growth in women experiencing hair loss related to menopause. After 12 months of use, the participants noted significant improvements in hair growth, quality, and a reduction in hair shedding. This study also highlighted improvements in quality of life and menopausal symptoms, indicating a holistic benefit from the supplement. This suggests that continuous use of certain nutraceuticals can be beneficial for hair health among women in various stages of menopause (Dermatology Times, 2022).

Whilst specific clinical studies are lacking currently on hair supplements, it is widely accepted as well as reported heavily that people suffering form excess hair shedding or poor hair health generally find their hair improves with continuous, consistent use of hair supplements and in the case of our customers this is made better by using our scalp oil and hair care alongside supplementing.

We will be conducting our own clinical trials for our supplements as soon as we have adequate funds to do so. In the meantime, it is our mission to continue providing support and solutions to those experiencing hair or scalp issues. Our goal has always been to provide clean and effective solutions to help support healthy hair growth and optimal scalp health whilst being a reminder to practice self care. I hope this has answered some of your questions and we are always here to help, don't hesitate to ask.

Best wishes,

Sophie

Great customer service and products overall

My first parcel got lost but luckily the customer service was able to resend me my order.
The products do suit my curly hair leaving them hydrated and healthy. I use the oils followed by the shampoo once a week, the conditioner as a cowash and the spray everyday to revive my curls - lovely efficient and clean products which is particularly important for me currently as I am pregnant.

Bit early to tell

I’ve only used the product for one month so far. My hair is definitely softer!
However, I have not noted any decrease in dandruff, my hair strength doesn’t seem to have improved at all. I’m still losing a lot of hair in the shower. It is still early days from what I understand, and the softness of my hair is a definitive plus. I have ordered another bottle as I feel that it’s a bit too early to tell the real effects until 3 months as specified on the bottle

Hi Richa, thanks so much for your feedback. For best results we advise continued use for several months to notice improvements in hair density. Hair can still be shedding due to how the hair growth cycle works however the oil will be stimulating new growth over time

Absolutely love these products

Absolutely love these products. If you buy the shampoo/conditioner or oil, get the squishy so you can really massage the products in. The combination is what works for me. I’ve never had such clean, shiny hair. I can go longer between washes too. I also recommend the detangling primer as using the squishy can make my hair a little knotty but the detangler just smoothes it straight back out and I love the scent. The squishy is an amazing product - I had one from Amazon before and it was rock hard (painful to use!) and shattered when I dropped it. This is NOT that. It’s one piece and it’s lovely and flexible. It feels just like having your hair washed at the hairdressers when you use it! Yes they’re all expensive, but I think you get what you pay for. I can’t go back to ‘normal’ hair care now - the difference is like night and day.

Literally fixed my frizzy damaged hair…

Literally fixed my frizzy damaged hair and psoriasis on my scalp. Won't use any other brand. I picked up a sachet of the shampoo at an event and the effect one wash of a quality shampoo encouraged my to purchase a lot of the products and I am now a convert. I have always bought good quality premium brands but this actually works.
