Despite driving for over 30 years I'd never actually bought a car before let alone applied for finance. Having recently became a single Mum I was terrified of buying a total wreck, it breaking down after a week and me being left with finance payments and no car. I had been driving a car that my father gave me before he passed away ( it was 20 years old) and that made it harder to make the swap so Id ploughed money into it to keep it going. I bit the bullet and on a friends recommendation spotted a car on Walters website and called to book an appointment to see it. I actually cancelled through fear but then changed my mind because I needed to get a grip ( and a car lol) I met Damon and was completely honest about how naive I was when it came to vehicles. I was either gonna be a nightmare customer or the easiest sale he'd ever made. He was amazing, talked me through everything regarding finance. I had a list of things that were total deal breakers for me. I believe all of their vehicles are MOT'd and serviced before you get them but I insisted on a new cambelt ( I'd experienced a fail before) plus I absolutely wanted a full years warranty. I had no pressure from Damon at any point. A few issues were located whilst servicing, two new front tyres were put on and the aircon was found to be not working. Unfortunately the part took ages to come and my old cars MOT ran out whilst waiting Damon knew how stressed I was for work, running the children about including hospital visits so offered me a courtesy car ( not gonna lie, was a lifesaver) Damon did everything he could for me and talked me through the finance patiently ( more than once) They took my old car too. He taxed the new one online with me in the office and even helped answer some questions about insurance. Rightly or Wrongly I was raised to believe buying a car is a "Blue Job" Thanks Damon for not making me feel useless. I was buzzing when I drove away. 5 stars and will definitely be back for Servicing, MOT etc. Cant thank Walter's enough.

From the first time I contacted Walters motor group I felt confident that I would be treated fairly I arranged with Dunconv to go and view the car ,Well a few days later I went to view the car Damon is a very nice guy 10/10 customer service 😁 any way I agreed to buy the car he said it needed a service and MOT ,a few days later he rang to say it was ready so I arranged to collect the following day but unfortunately I took a fall so I couldn't pick it up and Duncan was very understanding he said take all the time I need to get over the fall I thought that was a very nice thing to say .I'm pleased say I now have the car and I loving driving it , I highly recommend Walters motor group.

Damon at Walters was so helpful, he made the process so smooth, was extremely informative and reassuring as I was around 5 hours away, he made sure everything was handled and the car was in perfect condition. I would highly recommend Walters.

From my initial contact with Walters I was impressed with the staffs professional approach and how informative they were to my queries re purchasing another car. I found the whole process of part exchange against another vehicle to be very straightforward along with the completion of its associated documentation.
Over a period of less than 2 weeks I had a new car.
The whole process was very thorough and well presented by the team member who I dealt with throughout.
I would recommend Walters to any one who is looking for another vehicle, where you would get a first class service from a highly professional dealer.

Went there today sales person very helpful and accommodating went out of her way to assist but didn't get full attention as some wide boys were buying a yellow st and they seemed to get the most attention.ended up not buying after getting home and doing an MOT check and found out the car was a rotbox.so my advice is to check first before you buy I nearly got burnt and glad I didn't go through with it.their cars do look good but don't judge a book by it's cover.i have paid much less for cars in better nick

Had my car MOT’d last week at Walter’s Motor Group LODDON. Very easy & slick booking process. Greeting when car dropped off was very friendly.
Felt I was being very well looked after.
Would certainly recommend them above other MOT stations in area.

5 star all the way would happily recommend to anyone. Quick and informative service. My salesman kept my updated as they gave the car a thorough check before I drove it away. Car was immaculate and with an unlimited mileage 3 month warranty as standard. Could not praise this company highly enough

I thought i'd update this to further add to my woes in this car purchase.

Evolution Warranties... This is who the warranty goes through, look them up, they're terrible! and yes, they've now gone into administration, replaced with THE SAME PEOPLE!!! they've renamed themselves, but the people behind it are the same. Simply put, but your warranty elsewhere.

Frankly poor.
Now as with any car dealership, it's incredibly easy when things go well. Where they earn their reputation is when things go wrong.

I bought a 2008 BMW X5 with 148,000 miles. Now, knowing this was high mileage I also purchased their 2 year warranty to ensure I was safe for the next couple of year. Or at least I thought.

within a few months I'd noticed alot of smoke on the start, went to explore the possibilities and 3 glow plugs showing as faulty on diagnostic. Not covered on warranty.

The car is now stuck on my driveway because the handbrake has seized in the secured position, so i'll now need another repair.

Now I purchased the car for £5,250 just before xmas. I suggested I sell it back as it's not what I expected. Offer - £2,250. Now I appreciate dealerships need to make profit, however they also need to sell suitable vehicles. This car should've been a non warranty no guarantee type of car.

I feel misled, I feel ripped off and I've absolutely learned my lesson about dealing with Walters cars.

I've now leased a new vehicle and would tell absolutely anyone who asks not to deal with Walters unless they're absolutely sure of the vehicle because I simply feel like I've been missold a banger under the premise that the warranty would keep me safe during the next couple of years.

The only reason I'm giving two stars over 1 is because the sales person was pleasant to deal with.

Fantastic service from Debbie at Walter’s group. Kept me updated on when the car would be ready for collection and it was looking great on collection. Will definitely recommend and be back again.

Walters motor group and especial Debbie their sales assistant went above and beyond what would be normal when buying a secondhand car, which made what could have been a stressful time for us older people a pleasurable experience.We love the superb car we have bought and totally endorse Walters of Lodden as the place to go to buy a car.
