About Waiākea

Information provided by various external sources

Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water

Completely isolated from the rest of the world, Waiākea® offers purity in its ultimate form. Located just outside the quiet town of Hilo and surrounded by rich, bio-diverse forest preserves, a deep well source sits at the eastern base of the Mauna Loa volcano, one of the purest environments on Earth. Originating atop the volcano as rain and snowmelt – the water slowly filters through thousands of feet of porous, volcanic rock, re-emerging at the surface as refreshingly crisp, naturally alkaline water. Created in 2012, Waiakea was made with the purpose of being the first premium sustainable bottled water of its kind. Putting people and planet before profit, Waiākea is a naturally alkaline, Hawaiian volcanic water, that gives clean water with each purchase.

My first shipment arrived damaged

My first shipment arrived damaged, bottles missing, bottles leaking. I contacted customer service and the offered to send out a replacement. The replacement was a wonderful. However, it wasn’t the replacement but the way it was shipped. It was shipped in the original box. That was the real issue that needed to be addressed. And they actually listen and reboxed my order and it arrived in perfect condition. Thank you for listening to the real issue

I am a happy customer

It is easy to change delivery dates. I can open the bottles without hurting my hands. The delivery times are short. The water always tastes the best!!!
The price is reasonable. It is easy to manage the subscriptions. I don’t get random unexpected charges periodically as I do with other subscriptions I have.
I wish you were not so far away, but I had a lot of trouble finding local water that was good to drink. I am disabled and a full time caretaker so my foraging abilities are limited. At first I was looking for glass bottles, but the taste of Waiakea water was so exceptional that I made an exception. I would rather not use so many bottles but I do not think I can manage to refill bottles from a big size in the refrigerator. I have been a very happy customer.
If there were more options for the subscription I would not need to change my delivery dates so often.. One week is too expensive and a little too often. Two weeks is too long for me. But thank you for great service!!!
