Some problems that do get addressed along the way

It took a little while to get the app working as you have to also download another sensor monitoring app to sync with the Vively app ! Support is good so it's easy to get some answers when needed. Problems with changing the password/ incorrect subscription information on the app/ trouble connecting sensor etc, but once all done, you can get clear readings, and log lifestyle and food intake daily which can be sent to your Dr or professional health carer.

My monitor came off after 5 days from a knock on the door jam. I didn't find it easy at all to log the food, it's time consuming and glitches a lot. My fitbit app is much easier to use. It should not say you can swim and sauna with it for a few minutes as I could feel after the 5 days it was already loosening so I highly doubt it would have lasted 14 anyway. Disappointed with the service as they said I could have 10% off a second monitor but they're expensive and I don't feel like I got any insight or benefit from it for the price. It glitches and says can't get a reading a lot. Save your money!

Best customer service team

Great experience with Vively. The CGM didn't hurt at all to apply and was no problem at all to wear for day to day life. I barely knew it was there. The data analysis was very helpful and the customer service team are one of the best I've dealt with. Very responsive and it's obvious they care about their product and customers.

CGM Great! Vively could do better

Access to the continuous glucose monitor (CGM) taught me so much. It was worth the cost just for that. Besides that, I can't honestly say that Vively added much value as they charge extra for advice. The 3 month Vively membership doesn't achieve anything. I got what I needed during the 14 day CGM trial.

Exceptionally bad customer service. Don’t buy

Received my sensor and followed all application instructions to find that it was faulty. Contacted Vively for a replacement and after 5 emails to gather data “for the supplier”, including multiple senseless AI responses, heard nothing else for a week, chased to be told that they needed more information, which was provided. Then nothing. Chased again to be told that a replacement was in its way. This was after I requested a full refund btw so I’m wondering if any action would have been taken it if I hadn’t. Now I’m told that even though I’m over 2 weeks into the program and have no device and have not been able to use the program at all that I’m not entitled to a full refund. I have to wait for delivery of the new sensor then I can apply for a refund of the device only. Are you kidding me?? I was really enthusiastic about the program but this has been the worst experience and their credibility is completely gone for me!

Bad CGM Company Rip Off Warning

Total ripoff, do not purchase your CGM thru this company. After application the sensor did not even last 2hrs on my arm after being placed there by a health professional. It fell off on a beach whilst walking, had not even raised up a sweat. Then to see that a single sensor has to last 3months ?? The sensor became a contaminated sharp so no way would I stick it back on. But for $129 you can buy a new sensor with the substandard adhesive.
But there is more ! Tried reaching out & no response. Received an email stating that as I had had the sensor for 3 months (?). It was brand new, just purchased. This company just gets it wrong on every level.
I will report this company as they are selling medical products that are sub par to the relevant governing parties.

the insights are useful and i was…

the insights are useful and i was getting some good information from this however the sensor failed before the 14 days and i am not getting any response from my messages.

I also think $400 for two weeks advice isn't really worth it either. You have to buy more sensors at $129 to get more from this.

A very useful app when combined with CGM

The app is very useful when combined with a CGM. This gives great insights into my metabolic reactions to foods. The dietitian assistance and the new AI function is very helpful. I find I don't use the app as much between CGM as I find it difficult to be motivated to enter data during these times, without the feedback from the CGM. I would like to see the CGM included in the membership price more regularly.

Some great insights, meal score rating not yet sophisticated

Having a CGM with Vively app attached has been really helpful in learning how my meals, mood and movement affect my blood glucose levels. Vively’s recently added AI part is also quite handy when looking for basic information about blood glucose behaviors or recipes, for instance, quickly. (I’ve learned more than my GP was able to tell me.)

What the app developers need to work on further are:

1) the food logging system (better databases - specific to Australia, not copied from UK for example - and faster mechanism for the logging process);

2) The app meal scoring (“enjoy”, “use in moderation” and “limit” labels for specific foods) is still very rudimentary and often incorrect, leading many users to not log their meal content at all, and just naming the meals in detail for their own reference. This is evident, following the FB Vively community.

3) A smoother connection with, and with more, other fitness apps, especially Whoop.
Meal wise, while It’s possible to connect Vively to MyFitnesspal, for instance, this makes it impossible to name each meal other than generic breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack (unless manually editing each time).

4) Vively needs to tailor communication to both beginners/general audience and for people already educated in BG, nutrition and fitness (as that’s the market as a whole, there are very different subgroups interested and using these monitors). At the moment, the articles and marketing feel quite simple/basic.

Also, making it clearer in their communication that the CGM measurements which are from the interstitial fluid and react to circulation among other things, can be quite different from finger prick (blood measurement) ones, and that the “optimal range of 4-6 mmol/l” blood glucose measurement often requires a ketogenic diet to maintain, would be important. Very few can consume “whole grains and fruit”, for example, to keep their glucose under 6.

Overall a great start, and an excellent app to connect to a CGM. Customer service has also been quite good - the staff certainly tries to help, even though at times it has felt they’re still getting organized and working out the system (made up of AI, actual people and a very small customer service team) a little.

Love the report and insights. Food data base could be better.

I like the education and insights and I like the continuous timeline. I like the reports and metrics a lot. I just don’t love how it doesn’t integrate super well with my fitness pal because the Vively food data bank isn’t super comprehensive.

Misleading Advertising, Poor Product Performance and No Real Support

I signed up for Vively’s three-month membership (around $250) under the impression that I’d have a CGM for the entire duration. However, after receiving it, I discovered the CGM—actually a FreeStyle Libre device—only works for two weeks before needing replacement (that you must source yourself). This critical detail wasn’t clear at all in their marketing.

What’s more concerning is that Vively’s own app charges an additional $40/month, yet it offers essentially the same features as the FreeStyle Libre’s FREE app. To top it off, the Vively app had several issues including disconnecting during the night and errors being able to add sleep and exercise data.

Customer support? Nonexistent. There’s no dedicated phone line or live chat and emails are answered by what seems to be an AI bot. When the device fails, Vively can’t really help because it isn’t even their product. The whole setup feels like drop-shipping-just reselling someone else’s device at a marked-up price.

The final straw came when I was unexpectedly billed for a monthly subscription after the initial three months - again, without clear communication or any easy way to cancel.

Overall, I feel completely misled by Vively’s advertising and I’m disappointed with the lack of transparency, poor product performance and awful customer service. I would strongly advise anyone considering Vively to do extensive research or seek alternative CGM options directly from established providers. It will likely save you both money and frustration.
