Fellow adventurers! We were lucky enough to pause work (QLD, Australia) and travel the US for the entirety of 2023. We visited all 50 States, and covered 65,000 km's! We're in our mid-40's, and reasonably well-travelled, but for us this trip was a masterclass in planning for critical elements we knew would underpin the road-trip. The most significant and difficult of these, to understand and execute, was vehicle purchase, registrations and insurance. We were absolutely diligent in review of ALL options available. Hi All
Damian Monkhorst here from Melbourne. I had organized a Motorcycle ride from Virginia to California. Riding with a Group of US riders through The Tail of The Dragon Area and then taking me across the States to California.
After much debate to hire or buy a bike, I found it would be better to own a bike.
I spent weeks trying to work out how to Title my bike and Register it, asking US riders for info etc.
THEN I FOUND MATT at Visitor.us, he was a Great Help and Sorted it All out For Me, with greatest of ease.

We are from the UK, and we purchased a Ford F150 Lightning in Ohio, which is a state that has sales tax, so we registered it through Visitor.us in Montana. We paid no sales tax, and the vehicle never even had to be present in Montana, nor did ourselves.
We can now export the truck to England without ever setting foot in the US.
It honest solved so many issue we were trying to work around.

Matt answered all of my questions and the website portal is very easy to use. Overall it was quicker than I was expectig also.

As Australian citizens, Matt and the team at Visitor.us made our 7-month US/Canada road trip possible by enabling us to purchase a Tesla Model X in Nevada and register it in Montana. We looked at rentals and typically they only allow for up to 30 days. Buying proved as cost-effective and we were able to get the car we wanted and then sell it the week before we left. Matt was helpful throughout with any questions we had and was also prompt with his replies and service. Gaining temporary plates and having Matt express post the actual plates to a FedEx hub in Canada made it easy for us to keep driving without worry. We were even able to seamlessly cross the border from the US to Canada with our temporary plates. Would absolutely recommend Visitor.us to others traveling from overseas to the US and in need of a vehicle. Great service that makes something we thought wouldn't be possible, possible!

My husband and I are two young Aussies with little money who really wanted a USA adventure! Visitor.us made that possible. I am from switzerland and had this dream on that TAT (TransAmericaTrail) on a motorbike for years. It goes mostly on dirt road across the USA East to West.
Big question on how to do, difficult if not impossible to rent (or expensive) .... ship my own bike over from europe would have been costing a lot too.
Sooo ... luckily came across Visitor.us and things became very easy to organise from first moment. Matt and his service is really excellent.

I used visitor.us and the process was effortless. Everything online and quick. Highly recommenced. They're not cheap (similar to other Montana LLC agents) but as Montana has no sales tax, their costs were easily covered by not having to pay sales tax in California where I bought my car (you pay sales tax in the state where you register, not where you buy).
