Consumers consistently find the online marketplace extremely easy to use for buying and selling various second-hand items. People truly appreciate the very straightforward process of listing goods, setting up personal profiles, and tracking shipments without hassle. However, some customers also noted that customer support is completely unhelpful and unresponsive when serious problems occur on the platform. Reviewers frequently mentioned difficulties with delivery problems, shipping carrier errors, and valuable items getting damaged during transit. Consumers also felt deeply frustrated by overly strict platform rules, ambiguous product descriptions, and unexpected account bans.

Awful customer support team

I was sold a blatantly fake pair of joggers for £30. When I escalated that these were fake the support team favoured the seller without even looking into the case. I am getting refunded but have to pay out of my pocket to send the item back before the refund is processed. So I will still be out of pocket. The vinted policy states that when sold fake goods you will be fully refunded without having to send the item back to get the refund. But this clearly isn’t being followed. The customer support agent I had was beyond useless.

Would genuinely advise people not to use Vinted.

From my experience, I never received a parcel I ordered and, despite going back and forth with Vinted Support for over 2 months, I have been left with no item and no refund. All I received was the same copy-and-pasted response, despite repeatedly explaining what had happened.

Vinted’s own Buyer Protection policy states that buyers can be entitled to a full refund when an item is lost, damaged or not as described. Yet when I reported my issue, I was completely disregarded and the policy was not applied to my situation. It feels like their policies are advertised as protection for buyers, but when you actually need that protection, you’re left going around in circles with customer service.

Absolutely awful customer service and an extremely disappointing Buyer Protection system. You can do everything right and still end up losing your money. I definitely won’t be using Vinted again.

Terrible app

Terrible app, run by AI, never get to speak to anyone. Loads of scammers getting away with scamming sellers whilst the buyers get refunded and able to keep the items. Sellers being banned for stupid reasons because AI can't tell the difference between novelty items and food items. AVOID use BIDZZY instead.

SELLERS BEWARE!!

SELLERS BEWARE!!!

New to vinted, started selling so one off clothes to test the waters. I sent my bread new not worn linen trousers to the buyer, and they were damaged in transit. The package I sent it in was torn open, the trousers ripped and burned. They are now completely ruined. The buyer has been refunded but I have not been compensated for my damaged item. After much difficulty, I got through to support to report that the courier damaged the item. Customer service repeated their position that the refund would be processed and I would not be compensated.

As far as I can see, sellers are not protected on vinted AT ALL!!! So if you are a regular person trying to get rid of a few items, DO NOT USE VINTED.

Flawed automated moderation and terrible support

I am highly disappointed with Vinted's reliance on a flawed automated moderation system.
My account was banned instantly without human verification or clear reasoning.
When challenging this automated decision, the support team completely brushes you off with scripted "computer says no" responses.
It is clear that Vinted refuses to invest in real customer service to support its users.
I will be taking my business to other marketplaces that actually respect and protect legitimate members.

# Shocking Customer Service

# Shocking Customer Service – Accused Without Evidence and Money Withheld

I had only been a member of Vinted for a few days when I listed a Hollister jacket for sale. To my complete surprise, I was accused of selling a counterfeit product.

I appealed the decision and asked Vinted to provide evidence that the jacket was counterfeit. Instead of receiving a proper explanation, I was simply told that the item had been inspected. No meaningful details were provided about how the inspection was conducted, who carried it out, or what evidence supported their conclusion.

As if that wasn't bad enough, I was then accused of not sending a parcel, and my money was withheld.

Despite providing the parcel reference number, tracking information and drop-off point details, Vinted continued to send email after email asking me to provide further information — much of which I had already supplied.

The entire experience has been incredibly frustrating. I feel as though I have been treated as guilty from the outset, with the burden placed entirely on me to prove otherwise, while Vinted has failed to provide clear evidence to support its own accusations.

What I find particularly unacceptable is the lack of transparency, accountability and genuine customer support. Rather than investigating my concerns properly, the company appears to rely on repetitive responses and endless requests for information.

I joined Vinted in good faith, expecting a straightforward platform for buying and selling second-hand clothes. Instead, within just a few days, I found myself dealing with accusations, withheld money and an exhausting complaints process.

**Absolutely shocking customer service. I would strongly advise anyone considering using Vinted to think carefully before trusting this platform with their items or money.**

A deeply disappointing experience.

Things sell really quick on vinted and…

Things sell really quick on vinted and loading items on is super easy however their delivery settings are not accurate and unfortunately have meant I’ve had to cancel a couple of orders because they’ve not allowed for the weight or size. For example it says moving box but the measurements only allow parcels up to 16cm high which is difficult when you’ve listed a hamster cage. When I contacted support I was just met with well that’s what it is and there is no option to choose any bigger parcel sizes as this option is not available. It’s just not as good as eBay that way however it is very quick to sell on.

Appalling customer service – Vinted simply does not read complaints

I genuinely cannot believe how badly Vinted has handled this.

I sold an item and posted it correctly using the Royal Mail postage provided through Vinted. Royal Mail marked it as delivered, but the buyer contacted me because the parcel had been left somewhere that was not her building or safe place.

So this was a delivery problem. It wasn’t caused by me and, importantly, the buyer has never suggested that it was.

The buyer reported the problem to Vinted. Vinted then asked me for evidence. I attempted twice within their deadline to provide it, but Vinted’s own system repeatedly returned a server error.

Fortunately, I had already sent my proof to the buyer, so she sent it to Vinted herself.

Vinted then explicitly told the buyer:

“Thanks for sending the required proof.”

They also told her that Royal Mail required them to wait seven days before escalating the case, that they would keep the case open, and that they would contact her once it had been escalated.

You would therefore assume the matter was being dealt with.

Instead, Vinted subsequently cancelled the transaction and refunded the buyer because apparently I “didn’t provide enough information.”

How can the required proof simultaneously have been received and not provided?

The buyer herself repeatedly challenged Vinted about this. She pointed out that I had supplied the evidence, reminded them of their own message confirming receipt of it, and asked whether they had actually escalated the case to Royal Mail as promised.

She couldn’t get a straight answer either.

Eventually, I contacted Royal Mail myself.

Royal Mail has now confirmed to me in writing that the recipient is not in receipt of the parcel and that “the photo of the delivery location indicates a different address.”

But here’s the particularly infuriating part: Royal Mail has also told me that too much time has now passed for them to investigate the delivery further.

I therefore submitted a formal complaint to Vinted.

I provided everything. I explained the entire chronology. I supplied the tracking, delivery photograph, evidence of Vinted’s server errors, Vinted’s own contradictory messages, the buyer’s correspondence and Royal Mail’s written response. I even spent a ridiculous amount of time putting the evidence into a clearly labelled, chronological document so there could be absolutely no confusion about what had happened.

Vinted then asked me again for information that had already been provided.

So I provided it again.

And after all of that, their latest response to my formal complaint containing new evidence was:

“It appears your transaction was cancelled, and we’re unable to provide further assistance in this situation.”

They then suggested that I “check with the other party involved for any resolution.”

What other resolution? The buyer and I already agree. Neither of us is in dispute with the other. The entire complaint is about the delivery and Vinted’s handling of it.

This is beyond frustrating. It genuinely feels as though nobody is actually reading the complaint or the evidence before responding.

I have repeatedly asked Vinted one extremely simple question:

DID VINTED ACTUALLY ESCALATE THE CASE TO ROYAL MAIL WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD – YES OR NO?

They still will not answer it.

This isn’t about the monetary value. It’s about the principle and an absolutely dreadful complaints process.

I posted the item correctly. The buyer reported that it had been delivered to the wrong location. I attempted to provide evidence within Vinted’s deadline but their own system failed. The buyer supplied the evidence instead. Vinted confirmed they had received the required proof. Vinted said they would escalate the matter to Royal Mail. They then cancelled the transaction claiming insufficient information. Royal Mail has since confirmed that the delivery photograph indicates a different address, but says too much time has now passed to investigate.

And after all of that, Vinted apparently considers “the transaction was cancelled” to be an adequate response to my formal complaint.

It isn’t.

The amount of time I have wasted trying to get somebody at Vinted to simply read the evidence and answer the questions being asked is ridiculous.

If this is how Vinted handles a straightforward delivery dispute when both buyer and seller agree about what happened, I would have serious reservations about ever selling anything of significant value through this platform again.

Have ordered clothing accessories from…

Have ordered clothing accessories from abroad, after 3 weeks of no updates whatsoever I contacted seller to kindly find out what exactly is going on. No answer. Tried tracking number, nothing over there. Few days later seller advised he has no clue what was going on. When contacting Vinted customer service they advised to wait another 25 days. When finally the tracking number updated it was showing my parcel was refused at inpost. Nobody knows why. Disgusting!!!!!
