Purchased a stetson collectors hat recently and it was shipped without the collectors box which is part of the hat purchase. The customer representative stated that it should've come with the collectors box and when he spoke to shipping department the reason he was given is that they don't have a big enough shipping box to ship that box in. I told him that is not a good reason or an excuse to ship an item incomplete and they will need to ship me the box. They are a hat company and should know better and it should be a priority to have big enough shipping boxes to ship the item complete cheating the buyers of their products. If they are stetson authorized retailer I'm gonna report them to stetson. You cannot be shipping these items by removing them from their original intended collector packaging. They took my info and said they wouldn't know if a manager would be getting back to me. What kind of business is this. How do I even know if this hat is a legitimate stetson. I purchased a hat from them once before and it was a more inexpensive crushable so I didn't think anything of it but clearly this company is cutting corners. Currently I don't recommend purchasing buying any western hats from this company cause they'll just cheat you out of the box or it's possibly not genuine. Really upset with how they handled this. And judging by their trust pilot store they just don't give a shit.

I don't mind paying for a return, but I would appreciate a helpful process to do so (like every other online retailer I've ever ordered from). With Village Hat Shop, you're on your own. They provide nothing - no return label, no return tracking, no return authorization to identify your order. You do all that yourself, including writing your own request for a refund. I won't be ordering from them again.

Beware! I bought 3 hats, all XL and only one fit. The other 2 were ridiculously large even for my big head. The return shipping cost me $46. Don't understand why they cannot offer a shipping label and deduct the cost from the refund (I was told at a LARGE shipping company that is standard practice, because they should get a large shipping discount). Won't ever buy there again. When I complained to their customer service, they said I could have gotten a "hat sizer." Just what I want, a hat sizer in a brand new hat that goes over my ears.

They sell either Chinese knock off counterfeits or a budget line of traditional hat manufacturers that are now made in China without this being stated anywhere in their descriptions. Nowhere in their pictures do they show a Made In China tag sewn into the inside either.

Wow absolutely brilliant purchase. After my two previous hats, same again Porkpie and Trilbly with the shorter rim. So the VHS have the fantastic website which made buying and absolute breeze. I new the style I want, but fancied different colours than my old ones. I wasn't to be disappointed, the Pictures of the different colours and styles were great. My final obsticle which courier did they use? as long as it wasn't YODEL I would make my order. Well there is a God, Royal Mail would be the VHS choice to deliver them. So they arrived today 13/01/2025. The packaging and how they were packaged inside the box was brilliant. and the hats sit perfect upon my bald head. I know I will choose Village Hat Shop for my next purchase of head covering. Thank you.

I ordered a gray fedora from the Village Hat Shop. They sent an out of shape hat, and it was also the wrong color. I wish I could attach a picture, because potential customers should be made aware so the they don't have false expectations.

UPDATE: I received a replacement hat for this order two days after I contacted them. Village Hat Shop stepped up and corrected the issue quickly, amd I had my replacement order in 2 days!! I love the fedora - it fits perfect and looks great! I'll definitely be a repeat customer!!

I purchased a Scala Fetch Wool Felt Rancher Fedora Hat. When I took it out of the box part of the straps around the leather band around the hat were off the band. The hat is way over priced!! Cheap material and I wish that I had never purchased!! I have a large collection of western hats and this is the worst hat that I have ever purchased!!

In the past couple of years I have bought quite a few hats from The Village Hat Shop without incident. However, due to inaccurate information posted on their website, a hat in my most recent order was the wrong size. Their response to this was to blame the hat's manufacturer for the misinformation and to sell me a replacement at a reduced price, but not to provide any refund for the wrong sized hat unless I paid to ship it back to them. The result was that I ended up paying more to get the right size hat than the actual price. The store representative was unwilling to even entertain the possibility that I might not be satisfied with this, and he was argumentative and combative with me about it. So I called and left a message for the manager, who never even bothered to call me back. I will therefore never again buy anything from this store, and I strongly recommend that others avoid doing so as well.

I'm absolutely in love with my tawny-colored STETSON Whippet Fur Felt Fedora Hat from Village Hat Shop! The fit, finish, and proportions are just perfect, and I always appreciate the excellent service and fair value they provide. It was quite the challenge to find this hat, but the outstanding service and the sheer beauty of the hat made it all worthwhile.

Stetson hats never fail to impress, and this one is no exception. The quality and fit are top-notch, and I love how versatile and stylish it is. It has quickly become a favorite in my collection of hats.

Absolutely useless really bad customer services bad attitude wrong info being told about delivery getting told one thing one day then something different the next day really bad experience would definitely not recommend

My husband has not been able to get a bucket hat to fit his head all his adult life. We have tried everywhere on the high street. Looking online I was getting disillusioned with either price or not being in the UK. I came across village hats and ordered a XXL olive bucket hat. Ordered on 31st of July and came on 3rd August. It fitted perfectly. My husband is very happy. Will definitely order again.

Probably the worst, dishonest company to deal with. I purchased my hat, but instantly figured out it was too small. Returned the item instantly. I didn't have a problem with the returning cost. However, they told me on receipt of my hat it was dirty, so they refused my refund. The condition of the hat looked like it had been worn by a raver who'd worn it for a month!
I had literally only worn it for a minute at most. Washed my hands before I ever handled the hat. They then had the nerve to tell me my head must have been dirty. I have actually got a same hat in another size, worn it for an afternoon without a single sweat band mark!!!!
100% sure the hat they returned to me wasn't my hat. £75.00 out of pocket!!
If you buy a hat from these, do not expect an professional outcome if you decide to return the hat. They don't do returns.

Ordered a hat to Estonia. I figured it might be too small so I contacted customer service. They answered me at once and said that if my measurement was correct the hat would fit perfectly. The package was trackable in great detail and shipped super fast to Estonia! The Hat was fantastic, fits perfectly, looks good and is really good quality. Considering purchasing another.

My hat arrived earlier than expected. It's a flawless hat that fits perfectly. As a street performer, looking sharp and professional increases tips, so the hat will pay for itself. It looks amazing and I couldn't be happier.

Most lousy return service! Ordered a hat in the wrong size, sent it back more than 2 weeks ago via their return service and it still has not reached the shop. It is a sad joke tracking the return, nothing happens, and I seriously doubt we will ever receive the new hat. The hat was expensive, and expensive to send back the hat. Don't buy from this website!!!

The customer service of this online shop is terrible! So the site is ok but if unfortunately if you have some problems you will not receive any help or refund from customer service. I had a problem with the delivery and the customer service completely ignored me until I contacted PayPal. In which case the customer service contacted me immediately and this is ridiculous after they ignored my emails for a week.
