Another dupe.
It would appear I am the latest in a long line of suckers that fell for this one, and I spent years working in a heavily regulated financial industry!
I would suggest that anyone who clicked this link from a prospective “buyer” freezes or cancels the card they used to pay with.
Exactly the same as others
Exactly the same as others , had contact via what’s app, went through expected questions, wasted loads of time, then asked for this specific report, sent link, followed by “don’t worry about the cost I’ll sort it out with you in the price of the car, its essential I have the report from here as I really trust the company”
Clicked the link and at £55 for a check you can get elsewhere for between £5-£10 was ridiculous. Plus autotrader do the basic checks in the price of the advert, Clearly a scam, read reviews, suspicions confirmed,
Don’t fall for it!!!
Need a zero or negative star review for this type of thing !!
I did a little digging, vehicle inspections uk was dissolved in 2024!!
Update , we went a little further and checked the ip address we were contacted from, yep “Josh” was based in Islamabad, once confronted and told we knew where he was, he blocked us immediately!!
Scam scam scam .. the latest scam
Scam .: someone tried to buy my car and would only do so if I purchased a report from here .. clearly scamming company .. that’s what there doing now , contacting you via WhatsApp’s and asking to get one of these reports .. dodgy dodgy
SCAM
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. They go through the whole buying process before asking for the report from vehicleinspection.uk website which costs £54,99. They even send you the link to the website to make the payment. Excuse they give is that it’s essential for them to have the report before they buy the car. Do your homework and do not fall for their scam.
Fake buyer scam targeting AutoTrader sellers
Listed a car on AutoTrader and within minutes received a call from someone posing as a buyer. They insisted I pay for a vehicle report specifically from vehicleinspections.uk before they would view the car. A genuine buyer would never ask the seller to pay for a check — they'd do it themselves. This site is flagged widely as a phishing scam. Do not enter your card details.
It's a scam website
It's a scam website. DO NOT PAY. Scammers reach people who sell cars and didn't manage to sell for awhile and count on the fact that sellers are desperate. They will ask you for a car health check saying that they will pay for it and will force you to use this website or another one "carcheckpremium.com". It's just a scam and no one will come to see your car. If you actually check the website company address, details and company register number there is no match. Please report the user profile to facebook (if contactacted there) for scam immediately.
Scam
Scam, same experience as other reviews. Fake buyer said would come for car today but wanted me to pay £41 for inspection. Luckily checked on trust pilot.
Also scammer tried it on with this…
Also scammer tried it on with this payment site. luckily i checked.
Scammer Alert!
So glad I read the reviews, listed car on Autotrader and within 1 hour recieved a call from an alleged interested buyer. After a few whatsapps he wanted me to pay for this report, I found a similar site where the same information costs £5 as opposed to £41 that this site charged. I refused and low and behold he stopped messaging. Be aware all.
100% SCAM
Listed a car on Auto trader and within minutes i received a phone call from a man who was willing to view/buy the car today. Then started hounding me on WhatApp to buy a vehicle inspection through the link he sent. When i refused he started giving me all the lies under the sun. Glad i checked on here. He has been blocked and i have reported to Autotrader.

Car buyer scam - FB Marketplace
A woman texted me on Facebook Marketplace interested in my car. The she asked me for a Vehicle inspection and sent me the link to this webpage. It was weird since in Ireland there is an specific site for these kind of reports. Looked for it in trustpilot, and as I thought, it is a scam. The person who texted me goes under the name of Alice Clarke. I assume it's the same pareson as in previous comments, but changes to different fake profiles
I had similar experience
I had similar experience. Initially person was happy to buy my car but she was insisting from me to buy vehicles inspection report. It was suspicious when she rejected when I offered to check my car at the local Mot station. Thanks to trustpilot.com I read one review and that confirmed my worries. Be aware of fake Facebook account Eleanor Daoming that is used to contact.
They are scammers.
They are scammers.
They will text you asking for this specific report on a car you're selling, but they're not interested in the car.
