Amazon ormally sends my packages with An Post and everything is delivered safely. Today UPS left a 14kg bag of expensive fog food on top of a 6 ft gatepost. The gate is quite a way from my house. No notification. I'm old tiny and with physical limitations. I was lucky to find somebody I could pay 50e to lift it down and take it to my home. Amazon were great but it would happen again which compromises my relationship with Amazon. It must be great to run a company like UPS, no fears of repurcussions no matter where they throw things. They're just fine with rogue! I will be STRENUOUSLY objecting yo the renewal of their Irish licence. I suggest everybody else does likewise. I could have broken my neck because you cannot be bothered!
I used to have a lot of problems with UPS. A year or two ago they would deliver to the wrong address, leave my package somewhere nearby, or not show up at all.
This time I was surprised. The delivery was meant to arrive tomorrow but it came a day early. I heard a doorbell and UPS driver handed me my delivery.
First time I've had a really good experience with UPS. Hope they keep it up.
Update** my package was attempted to be delivered yesterday. I missed a phonecall at 11.04 and phone back at 11.09, delivery driver hung up on me and I did not receive my package. I phoned the customer service who said I might possibly have a chance at getting it today if I change delivery to a ups collection point. I asked three times to verify if its a yes or no instead possibly maybe. He said he'll check and he said yes and today my package is sitting in a warehouse, not moving again! Honestly this company is the worst company I have ever dealt with and the customer service need to learn not to lie. I will never buy from any company that uses ups to deliver again
This is possibly the worst delivery service I have ever received. My package which contained a dress, has been held by customs for proof of purchase... How else would I get the dress if I didn't buy it. I purchased this dress on the 3rd of July and can't get an answer from ups on when it will be delivered, only an automated email
Absolutely ridiculous
I have never had such complications trying to get something delivered. I received an email early Monday morning that a delivery attempt will be made at 10:15am - 2:15pm. I go into work early to get some things done, I get home just before 10am. I check the online tracker every 30 mins or so, no updates. That is until 1:30pm, it updates and tells me that a failed delivery attempt was made at 9:42am, which was before the time I was told to be available, however, it was also a lie because I checked the cameras, and there was nobody at my door at that time. So I call the help line, they say they will try again between 5pm-9pm. I reschedule my evening so that I am here between 5-9pm.
About 30 mins later, I receive an email explaining that 'the delivery driver in my area is done for the day and will attempt a delivery tomorrow', even though I had told the customer care person on the phone I wasn't around for the next week, and couldn't receive the delivery tomorrow.
Anyways, after about an hour of emails back and forth, I was told that the package will be left in the depot and if it wasn't collected within 5 days it will be sent back to the sender.
I had explained to the customer care reps that I had spoken to twice on the phone at this stage, that my car wasn't available for the day and that I wasn't able to be home for the rest of the week. So both options they were giving me weren't viable. So I had no choice but to cycle to the depot, 40min over, 40mins back, all because their lack of internal communication and organisation, some of the worst I have ever experienced.
Also, I will add, UPS has had that package for about 2 weeks, according to the sender and the tracking, it was in their possession for the guts of two weeks. Idk what they were doing with it, but the whole thing is a joke.
This is the Worst Company Imaginable. No. 1 -their tracking system doesn't work. First it says online that package is delayed but arrived in Finglas - doesn't arrive on the day. Then when I ring up the following day they say No, the package is in France. Tracking then says it's coming next day between 11.45 - 2.30. Delivery is then supposedly attempted next day at 9.50am not 11.45 !!!! Even though I had set up an account to sign digitally and this was accepted, package was not left in porch. I Rang and was told it had to be signed for. Now 2 days later I don't know where the package is or when it will be out for Delivery. Tracking online shows Nothing, just rang again now for the 4th Time and they don't know where it is. She said she would call me back and I am still waiting an hour later. The other day the person in Customer Service said she wasn't allowed call me back. What a useless service.
UPDATE: I just rang back again for the 5th time and was told by Mike my package is Not out for delivery today even though my son is at home waiting for it. This Company is a Joke
The parcel contained my replacement mobile phone. My current phone is damaged, making this delivery extremely important.
The original estimated delivery window was 3–6 July. Because I had to travel for a medical CT scan, I used the UPS app to change the delivery date to 7 July.
Despite this request, the delivery was marked as "Out for Delivery" before the requested date, and my change was not processed.
On 7 July, I contacted UPS and was assured that I would receive my parcel before the end of the day. The parcel never arrived.
On 8 July, I contacted UPS again. Once more, I was assured that the parcel would be delivered that day. Instead, the tracking was updated with an "Attempted Delivery" notification. This information is false. I waited outside my address for approximately three hours specifically to receive the parcel, and no UPS driver arrived.
The following day, I contacted UPS several more times. During these calls, I was repeatedly promised that I would receive my parcel. I was also informed that I would be able to collect it from a local UPS Access Point after 9:00 a.m.
Later, I was given completely different information and was told that I would need to travel to Galway to collect the parcel, even though I live in Westport. This contradicted everything I had previously been told.
Throughout this period, I was also in contact with the sender, who informed me that UPS had assured them that I would receive my parcel the following day.
After submitting a formal complaint to UPS, I spoke with a manager. He promised to provide an update. The update I eventually received stated that there had been an error in the delivery address.
However, this raises a serious concern. If there was genuinely an address error, how was UPS able to record an "Attempted Delivery"? These two statements are contradictory.
Furthermore, despite being told that the address had been corrected and that delivery was scheduled for 9th , I was later informed that my parcel was back located in Dublin. 10th- out for delivery, never came..
I consider this level of service unacceptable.
they didn;t collect the parcel and they didn't refund me !
Awful experience and not the first time. Supplier said it would arrive on Monday 6/7, UPS changed this to Tuesday 7/7, Then they said was out for delivery but that was cancelled as they needed an address which is rubbish as this is what happened on my last delivery. Its now Thursday 9/7 and I'm no closer to getting my delivery. I have emailed several times and no one gets back to you!! The phone option is no better once you get through the just read off the tracking screen. With UPS there appears to be no gaurentee of a delivery date! U'll hoPfully get it Sometime.

UPS must be the unluckiest delivery company in Ireland, 90% of the time when I order something for next day delivery from anywhere the sender provides an incomplete address so UPS can't deliver to Mayo next day. I mean really UPS you need to talk to all these companies and get them to do their job properly as they're all taking my perfectly good address and eircode and then deciding to ask you to just deliver to Ballina, IE MO, IE. How are you expected to do that on time? The multiple companies from across Europe must be in cahoots because they all replace my good address with the same information when giving it to you.
OR - You know you're not going to be able to meet the next day delivery promise from your Dublin hub to the west as it's the last stop on the route so you mark it as incomplete address before it leaves the HUB and it gives you a couple of days extra while you pretend to contact the sender and get more information.
I have informed the latest company of your tactics and that DPD never cause an issue and will do that every time from now on. Also I will stop ordering from places where UPS is the only option and inform the company of why they won't get my business. If all other users do the same then maybe there will be some traction, complaining to UPS gets us nowhere but if companies stop using them they may eventually get the message.

Failed to deliver at their specified date and time now find my package is sitting in a depot miles away being reassuringly scanned on a daily basis and going nowhere. Wish me luck I'm going to attempt contacting them for the third time. Unprofessional, inept and seemingly identifies as a parcel delivery service....

I've been waiting on a parcel, got an email to say it would be delivered on the 1st of July, I waited in all day, next I got another email to say it would be delivered on the 3rd of July, again waited in still no parcel, I rang on Saturday morning to find out what is happening, was told that the driver attempted to deliver, which was impossible, I asked could the driver ring when he is outside as I live in an apartment, I was told drivers are not allowed to ring customers, so I asked could my parcel be delivered to my neighbour, he said yes and I gave him the address. I rang today to see if I could get it delivered to a local shop and was told because no delivery had been attempted they couldnt redirect, no according to customer service on Saturday there were 2 failed attempts, I'm so confused by it all, then I got an email this evening on the 6th of July to say my parcel has been delayed and it will be delivered on the 3rd of July, 3 days ago. It's the worst company I have dealt with.

I pais extra for an express delivery. The parcel is supposed to have been delivered last Friday, 3rd July. Their tracking status showed that the address is wrong so I phoned their customer's service, turns out that the original address in the parcel is correct! and was assured that the it will be delivered the next working day (which was confirmed to me to be on Monday, 6th). Fast forward they "attempted" a delivery on Saturday, 4th, stating that nobody was home (not true of course). The delivery didn't require a signature so I even informed them on 3rd that they can leave it outside the gate or phone my number as the intercom is not working. Today, 6th, I called them asking confirmation if it will be delivered today and they said they are not sure!!! Seriously?! I need the content of that package for a conference which will take place tomorrow!!!
This is what you get by paying for an express and supposed to be more guaranteed delivery: waste your time in chasing them to do what they supposed to do and in the tracking they made you appear I am the one who requested a changed of address!
For the record, this is not the first time this happened. If only I could select a shipping company that is more reliable, for this parcel, I would have gone for AnPost!

We can't give them 0, but if we could, it'd be 0.
I have tried to get my parcel sent to a collection point as I wasn't to be in that day (perfectly logical right?), they deliver to the collection point only to an hour later have magically recollected the parcel. I call their useless customer service, who you spend most of the call wondering if it's AI or just some ridiculous modulated voice who then tell you 'oh it will be delivered to your home address tomorrow - check tracking later.' we will email you.
Tracking never updates, courier tries to deliver it to the collection point again and OH WHAT A SURPRISE they couldn't deliver it there again, but wait! That's not even where I was told it was going. Call customer services again, and they can't even send me a simple email in that moment confirming that it'll now be sent to my home address - what kind of customer service department can't email a customer?
I have to wait for the internal team to email me again, who conveniently didn't email me till after close of play yesterday. So I assume I'll be back in this circle tomorrow - but wait it's a Saturday tomorrow - so who knows.
The customer service team are useless, the website is useless - I can't even change it manually online anymore.
I requested a complaints email - it took three phone calls to get this, and low and behold - also can't get back to me.
I don't know if I'll ever get my parcel, and frankly if I find any online site uses UPS in Ireland - i'm never giving them my business. Get me my parcel to my house, every other courier manages it and it's literally what the company supposedly does.
Avoid this waste of space, and don't waste your time on the phone or with their online 'AI help.' You'll get nowhere.

Absolutely terrible service on all levels. Very disappointed. I scheduled a pickup and selected a 10 AM - 2 PM time window. The driver then called and said he had no idea when he would arrive, claiming that 'nobody told him' about the 2 PM deadline. Since he couldn't give me any timeframe, I couldn't sit around and wait indefinitely. I've checked it in my account and saw there is 10am-2pm time specified.
I then tried to reach customer support by phone. It was completely useless—nobody answers, and I spent over an hour on hold trying to get through.
To make matters worse, when I tried to find a backup solution and locate the closest UPS drop-off point, the 'Find a UPS Location' tool on their website was broken. It kept returning 'No results' for every single address I entered.
I feel deeply frustrated, completely helpless, and honestly cheated by this entire experience.
It's clear that nobody cares about the customers or the business operations here. This feels less like a reputable logistics service and more like a total scam operation.

This is the worst customer service I have ever delt with! The moment you start texting the automated bot message on the website it keeps repeating the same thing and when you request a real person it repeats it again and then you ring them and thats automated too.Very poor 1 star

I have not once revived a package on time with UPS. Not once! Even when I’ve paid fast delivery! My packages always go from finglas to athlone, back to finglas, saying that my package was incorrectly sorted. This happens every single time. It generally takes about 3/4 weeks until I finally receive my package. I just don’t understand why this happens every single time. I am a business owner and every day wasted for me is money lost!

After a gruesome few months of my life, a lovely friend carefully selected a gift to cheer me up and attempted an international delivery with UPS. While they had the correct address and phone number (I checked those with them), UPS proceeded to deliver the parcel 19 kms away from my address, obviously without calling me, and sent me as a proof of delivery a picture of the parcel left on the door step of the wrong residence, providing photographic evidence of their incompetence (they are clearly a cunning kind).
It would have been faster, cheaper and less frustrating to dump the gift directly in the street instead of paying UPS handsomely to achieve precisely the same results.
Reader, a kind warning: a homing pigeon, or even An Post!, is preferable to UPS.

Seven days after picking up an item to go from Co Kilkenny to Co Wicklow in Ireland, it’s still in the UPS warehouse. Terrible service.
