UPS is the most irresponsible carrier I have ever dealt with. They had my package in Glostrup, took my payment for customs/VAT (460dkk), and then proceeded to ship the package back to Italy by mistake... See more

I don't want to be a UPS customer.

I have recently received a small package via UPS and I will do everything possible to avoid using UPS for anything in the future.

- I received a lot of emails with conflicting and misleading information. The encouragement to use their track and trace turned out to be possible only via a paid subscription. I ordered something online. I didn't choose UPS. Why would I suddenly subscribe to them..

- I received information about picking up my delivery. It turned out to have been dropped in my mail box.

- After the package was delivered I received an SMS from a random unidentified number telling me to send some documents to UPS. The message wasn't addressed to me, and looked like a phishing attempt as part of a scam. It could have been relevant but appeared so unprofessional that I ignored it for obvious reasons.

- Later on I received an invoice by post. The date on the invoice was more than a month prior to the day I received it. It seems to be payment for import VAT, but as one would expect from UPS it's not very clear what the invoice is about. It is however clear, that it's a massive fee for a poor and unprofessional service. Overall I have paid more for shipping than for the actual item shipped.

disappointing

UPS delivery was extremely disappointing. The package was marked as “out for delivery,” but no real attempt was made to deliver it to the address. Instead, it was automatically redirected to a UPS Access Point without prior notice or consent.

UPS then considers this a “successful delivery,” which is misleading. For the customer, it means wasted time, confusion, and the burden of traveling elsewhere to collect a parcel that should have been delivered to the door.

Customer communication is poor, explanations are vague, and the system seems designed for UPS’s convenience rather than the customer’s. This is not a reliable delivery service, especially for time-sensitive shipments.

I would strongly reconsider using UPS unless you are fine with doing their last mile work yourself.

UPS Denmark provides one of the worst delivery services I have ever experienced.

My parcel was marked as delivered, but instead of being handed over or left at a secure pickup point, it was dumped outside on the street without my consent, without a signature, and without any notification. I was at work and returned home after 5 p.m. — the parcel was already gone and clearly stolen.

UPS did not even make a basic effort to deliver the package to a nearby pickup point, which would have ensured safe delivery. Leaving a parcel unattended in a public area and calling it “delivered” is irresponsible, unprofessional, and unacceptable.

UPS shifts responsibility onto customers and webshops while causing loss, stress, and wasted time. Because of UPS, I have lost my parcel and had to file multiple complaints just to be taken seriously.

I will actively avoid any retailer that uses UPS in the future. This is not delivery — it is negligence.

Lost My Package, Refused to Investigate, Sent Me in Endless Circles

ABSOLUTELY INCOMPETENT - THEY LOST MY PACKAGE AND WON'T EVEN INVESTIGATE
UPS lost my package from Poland containing my ORIGINAL Indian driving license - an irreplaceable government document. It's been over a MONTH and they have done NOTHING to find it.
WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED:
My package disappeared in transit. When I contacted UPS Denmark for help, they started playing games:

First contact: "We can help you open a claim" - They sent me forms
Week 2: I filled out ALL their forms and submitted everything
Employee Oskar: "I am forwarding to the relevant department and starting a tracer"
Employee Sondre: "Investigation timeline is 8 days, expect feedback"
THEN SUDDENLY - Employee Sofie: "Sorry, we can't process your claim because you're not the shipper"

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
They KNEW from DAY ONE that I was the recipient, not the shipper. Yet they:

Made me fill out forms
Promised to start an investigation
Gave me specific timelines
WASTED 10+ BUSINESS DAYS doing absolutely NOTHING
Then said "sorry, we can't help you"

THEY LOST MY PACKAGE AND REFUSE TO EVEN LOOK FOR IT.
This is either:

Complete incompetence from every single employee
Deliberate tactics to frustrate customers and avoid paying claims

My irreplaceable driving license is GONE. UPS has it somewhere in their system but refuses to investigate. Multiple employees made promises they never intended to keep.
THE RESULT:

No package (lost for 30+ days)
No investigation
No compensation
No apology for wasting my time
Just endless circles and bureaucratic excuses

I now have to involve:

The Polish Embassy (the shipper) to file the claim UPS should have filed
European Consumer Centre Denmark
Danish Competition and Consumer Authority
Possibly small claims court

DO NOT USE UPS DENMARK. They will lose your package and then refuse to help you. Their customer service is a complete joke. Every employee tells you something different. They make promises they don't keep. They waste your time deliberately.
If you have ANY other shipping option - DHL, FedEx, PostNord, ANYTHING - use them instead. UPS Denmark is absolutely useless.
Tracking: [your tracking number]
Claim: [your claim number]
Status: LOST FOR 30+ DAYS, NO INVESTIGATION, NO HELP
This is the WORST customer service experience I have ever had with any company. Completely unacceptable.

Straight to access point, no attempt at delivery

Ordered a package to be delivered at my company. They didnt even try to delivery, just got a message saying that noone was present. We were a full staff at the address, the delivery truck was never even here.
They just instantly tell you that they delivery it to their "Access Point" which is nice shitty drive 20min drive for me to a place further into town, aka in the wrong direction for me. Nice for me to order and pay 200kr for delivery i have to do myself.

I'm very disappointed

I'm very disappointed. My package should have been delivered by UPS today, December 3rd, but it has been delayed and is now expected to arrive on December 9th. How can an express package be delayed for 4 days? This is very unprofessional and does not fulfill the purpose of express delivery, for which I paid 50% of the total price. I will definitely be requesting a refund.

not a real business

not a real business

they dont even try to deliver if they are behind schedule but they claim they do and send to a pick up point. I'm always home when UPS is supposed to deliver and my phone is on, so i know for a fact that they dont buzz, and they dont call. i've looked at the app more than once and could so they didnt even stop by. I once even received a notification fo 'not at home' when the geolocation showed the truck wasnt even in my area

Date of Nov 26th is just the latest of a long list of bad experiences - truth be told, i haven't had a single acceptable exprience with UPS since moving to Denmark in 2020

UPS is total scam. They will leave parcel on your doorsteps and issue legal credit note

UPS charged me for a customs invoice the same week confirmed was already paid by Aramex. They issued a credit note (No. 34218113) was paid immediately, then admitted I overpaid. I asked to be refunded back in September. It’s been months. No refund. Just lies and delays. Avoid this company at all costs. I genuinely hope the government will start looking into the reviews and closes down this scam.

I would have never accepted this parcel, but they simply left it on the doorsteps and issued legal credit note.

Worst experience I've had with a…

Worst experience I've had with a package. They refused to deliver for a week and a half, where as other companies could do it just fine, and were about to send the package back without contacting me. I asked them to just call me when they arrive and refused, instead wanting me to stand at the building's entrance for about an hour waiting for the driver (!).

So I had to have a package returned…

So I had to have a package returned back to a place in Malmø - the company which I needed to return to provided me with a Wrong address, even though I wrote them to confirm if it was the correct one.

I could track my package and to my awe I saw that a wrong address were provided, therefor it was not delivered - yet. Luckily UPS was trying to locate the correct company address and the return was successful. Thanks a lot UPS. It made my week.

Very bad service.

Very bad service.
The driver managed to not deliver the package despite the person was there. Was a pizzeria and was open but he said he could not come in and when I called the customer service the person was not able to be understood. Extremely bad english accent .
What a service... Pretty unreal

how it is possible in 2025

The customer service had a so bag accent I could barely understand what she was telling me. As a receiver I cannot change myself the delivery address which is currently 10 km away from where I live. I have to contact the seller who obviously has other things to do. Really bad delivery experience.

This company is a bad joke..

This company is a bad joke... I cannot understand why some shops still work with UPS, but there is no bigger disappointment when you order something online and see that the tracking number is from UPS.
Some days ago I have made an online order and I did not had the option of choosing the courier company, it was automatically UPS... I have logged in on the app, signed the special request to have my package let in the carport, contactless. BUT, as the saying goes, it is not my first rodeo with UPS, so I was at home anyway, just in case they, again, completely ignore the instructions provided.
Surprise, surprise, there is no package in my carport, in front of the door, or next to the mailbox, nobody ringed the door bell, but somehow the app states that an attempt to deliver has been made....
To say I am furious will be an understatement!
I bet nobody from this supposedly company reads this (it is impossible to me to acknowledge UPS as a company, is just some kind of physical form of stupidy, disrespect and reason to get angry) but in case somebody does, please.. try do your fricking job! Pick up box -> drive to address -> press tiny button next to the entrance door -> deliver package.... I can't imagine the emploees being monkeys, so there must be a way to be able to actually achieve a delivery!

Package lost / stolen by UPS

UPS Denmark completely failed to deliver my Lenovo laptop (very expensive item).
I was home the entire day, but the driver never came. Later, the tracking changed several time, first “attempted delivery,” then “delivered to Access Point,”, but it wasn't there.

The so-called “Proof of Delivery” says the parcel was received by “BO”, but no such person exists, and the Access Point confirmed that they never received anything. UPS customer service keeps insisting it was delivered, even after I personally went to the shop and they denied having it.

I have filed a police report with Fyns Politi for possible document falsification and theft.
UPS refuses to provide any real delivery evidence (signature, photo, or GPS location) and simply repeats that the parcel is “delivered.” Lenovo is now forced to investigate the case because UPS won’t take responsibility.

This experience is unacceptable for a company handling expensive electronics. UPS Denmark has shown zero transparency, zero accountability, and completely unreliable delivery documentation.

I will never use UPS again and strongly advise others in Denmark to avoid UPS for ANY kind of shipment. They mark packages as delivered when they are not, and then do nothing to fix it.
