They are a scam

Extremely poor experience. I booked a container move, but instead was delivered U-Crates that could not accommodate my belongings.
I had already removed my items from storage to prepare for loading, and because of the incorrect delivery, I was unable to proceed and some of my belongings were damaged by rain.
The company then tried to change the terms of the service instead of honoring the original agreement. After I cancelled and requested a refund, they stopped responding completely. The phone number provided for management does not work.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious.

Fastest possible shipment is 4.6 months

It took 140 days—the fastest turnaround they could possibly provide—from the day we placed the order until the crate arrived. Due to an error on their part, our shipment didn’t arrive in time for us to pack, forcing us to delay our move to the UK. Initially, they promised to prioritize our order by moving us to the "front of the line." Despite this, it still took nearly five months, providing no real benefit. We requested compensation for the additional week of rent we had to pay at our U.S. residence due to the delay (we didn’t ask for reimbursement for the unused rent at our UK apartment or for our flight change fees), they countered with half of our request ($250) and we'd have to sign a NDA.

If you hire them, the fastest turnaround they can offer is 140 days (4.6 months) and they cannot offer customer service. Full detailed timeline below.

Shipment Timeline
Day 0 – Kit order placed. We were told it would ship on Day 4 due to a short weather delay and arrive for packing by Day 15 or 16.

Day 14 – We reach out to check tracking/status.

Day 15 – Told the kit had been shipped the previous week, but no tracking could be provided. We confirmed with the trucking company that nothing had been sent. Crate was actually shipped on Day 14. We were forced to delay our international departure and requested compensation.

Day 21 – Crate arrives.

Day 23 – We pack and send off the crate.

Day 35 – Crate arrives at port in South Carolina. Full payment is required before overseas shipping. We request a reduced rate; it is denied. As a compromise, we’re told the crate will be moved to the “front of the line.”

Day 62 – Crate departs South Carolina. Estimated UK arrival: Day 94.

Day 96 – Crate delayed. New estimated arrival: Day 124.

Day 131 – Crate arrives in the UK, 96 days after leaving South Carolina.

Day 136 – Crate clears customs. We reach out to schedule delivery, hear nothing for a few days.

Day 139 – Informed our crate will be delivered the next day.

Day 140 – Crate delivered. Delivery team was excellent. A few minor damages: one broken glass and some picture frames.

Very satisfied customer moved from USA-Germany

We had zero complaints in the process. The only thing was that not okay was the pickup guy was really young and nearly dropped the pallet on its side before even loading it. But the price was good and everything was delivered as promised to our front door in Germany. Easy peasy! Will use again when we move back to the US.

Terrible customer service if I can even call it that

I contacted Euromovers recently to request a quote. The UK contact based in Spain answered the phone with food in his mouth. When he detected my accent, he asked why I didn't want to return to my country of origin with a certain "president" wandering around. He then asked me why I wanted to leave the country I reside in. Completely inappropriate comments, very insulting. It has been over four days and he still has not been able to give me a quote despite detailed information I have given him to do so. No response or indication of when I might receive a quote.

Highly inappropriate responses and unprofessional "service" if you can even call it that. I feel treated very poorly and will warn others to avoid your company.

Look somewhere else.

I moved from Amsterdam to the US (Florida). While the sales people who are selling you the service seem professional at first, once you pay (they demand in full prepayment) and you are passed to operations, everything goes downhill. No updates during the entire shipment, many mistakes in communications, and I had broken items and bugs in my bed it was disgusting. Work with someone else especially not their Netherlands/UK operations.

My wife and I used U-Pack to send 2 U-100 crates from Washington state to Portugal. Every step of the way was dealt with professional personnel and pickup and delivery when they said they were supposed to be. We would recommend the company to anyone shipping abroad.

A few hiccups but satisfied overall

Moved from Miami to Madrid on June 1, 2023.

Had a bit of a rough start (which was partly my fault but mostly due to incorrect/obsolete/contradictory instructions) but Alicia Hawk from uPak was very helpful and understanding and made it right.

My crate arrived at the destination in perfect condition and with no further costs, paperwork, or any further involvement on my part (though a bit later than promised at 8 weeks.)

All in all, I am quite satisfied and would definitely consider using them again in the future.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT…

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT YOUR SHIPMENT TO ARRIVE ON TIME AND IN GOOD CONDITION!

My wife and I moved to Canada from Sweden and used UPakWeShip EU to send a crate of our home goods to Canada. Originally we were promised a 6-8 week delivery time (after they had already sent us the pallet for packing everything late) in reality it took over 6 months to receive after being delayed at the dock in Europe with no explanation on why our shipment has not left on the dates or boat they had first told us it would be on. Unless we repeatedly sent emails asking for update there was no communication on their end. Just us hoping our stuff would arrive one day.

Finally, on the day the shipment did arrive it was given to us in pieces rather than the pallet we had originally packed it in. Again no explanation for who had taken our stuff out of the pallet or even letting us know our stuff would be delivered this way.

This company has been terrible to work with causing us months of headaches and providing little to no communication or updates to their customers.

For the money you will be spending with them you really think they would do a better job of first knowing where your stuff is and secondly providing actual service to their customers. Do yourself and your shipment a favour and use another company.

Terrible Customer Service and Communication

They shipped our products from Europe back to the US and it took over 9 months! They said it was due to a global situation they had no control over but their communication was terrible and they offered no compensation for being without our goods for 9 months. We had to buy replacements for many of our thing. Some delay is understandable, but 9 months for what should be a 30 day transit time?

You have zero protection or recourse with this company, they just blamed 'acts of god' and nothing they could do. I would have been OK if they communicated better or did anything to help make the experience better, but they did not. I would be wary of working with UPAKWeShip if you need what you're shipping in a reasonable amount of time and with any certainty.

Very Slow and Poor Communication

My U-Crate100 was picked up on May 23, 2022 in the UK. On the day it was being picked up Upakweship arranged for a truck that was not big enough to collect the crate. I then had to make several calls and bring this to their attention and finally the appropriate truck was sent to pick it up (with a lift).
After the crate was collected it sat in the UK for almost 3 months until the end of August, 2022. I was never able to speak to a human being and only had an email contact for the company. Each time I inquired I received an email with an excuse (ship was too full to take my container, ship was delayed, etc.). If I had not emailed I don't think they would have ever updated me.
Once my crate was on a ship I requested and received the tracking number for my crate. It travelled from the UK to a port in SC and arrived in less than 2 weeks.
Once my crate arrived in SC the tracking number showed that it was being sent to a hub in my state (FL). The crate arrived at a trucking hub in FL and I was never contacted. I ultimately called the trucking company and eventually obtained a telephone number for the 3rd party truck delivery service. After several more calls I was able to arrange a delivery date and the crate arrived on September 15th.
I realize that there are ongoing shipping delays due to supply chain disruptions after Covid but there is no excuse for the terrible communication throughout this process. I think I would still be waiting on my crate had I not emailed regularly and called multiple times to arrange the actual delivery through the 3rd party company in FL.
Throughout this process I only received updates when I requested information. I think Upakweship could do a better job of updating customers about delays and the status of their shipment.
I think the cost was affordable at just under £2000 including insurance for a crate with 700 pounds of my belongings. The crate arrived in excellent condition and none of my items were damaged so that's a positive too. Waiting almost 4 months for delivery is extremely slow in spite of post-Covid shipping problems.
Would I use them again? Maybe-based on cost and the fact that my items arrived without damage. Just beware that this is truly a DIY shipping option. You will need to monitor every step of the process yourself because Upakweship leaves you in the dark with no communication after they collect your crate.

Terrible service

Terrible service, it’s taken twice as long to get to UK as they said it would and was then delivered to completely the wrong address and wrong person. No idea when or if I am going to get our crate. Do not use this company. People on the phone have no idea who is delivering it so they have no control or idea what is going on.

Some Pros but Mostly Cons

Overall there were some pros and some serious cons when using UPakWeShip on our move from the US to Vietnam. Firstly they were cheap and we did receive our stuff eventually. However, our customer agent Chris Corder, was rude and patronising when deal with me but changed his attitude considerably as soon as my husband piped up that he was actually on speaker phone. When I phoned head office to ask if we could change agent, they where unsurprised by my complaint but said that unfortunately Chris was the only person who could deal with Southeast Asia and that he probably didn't mean to be rude 'that was just his way'. I.e. they knew he was a misogynist and I should just deal with it like they had too. At this point, it was too late for us to change company so we went along with it, letting my husband do all the communication from then on. His attitude improved when dealing with my husband but communication was confusing and information was often incorrect. The most notable piece of incorrect information we were given was that, since we needed our Residents Card to import good to Vietnam, we could not send our package yet and would have to pay for storage. This turned out to be incorrect, as we found out upon arriving in Vietnam and all other new members of staff (who used different shipping companies) were receiving their goods within weeks. We should have been allowed to send it straight away and supplied the documents later. This error meant it took over 6 months to arrive rather than the 12 weeks it should have taken. It also cost us hundreds in storage costs. So, if you want a cheap shipping option UPakWeShip is okay, but be prepared to be treated poorly and do your own thorough research.

No communication from Upakweship

Shipping from Canada to Europe, estimated time was 6-8 weeks. It has been already 8 weeks, and for the past 3 weeks our coordinator Kris has been ignoring our emails without providing any update, and we have no idea where our shipment is at.

U-Crate x2 100 from Germany to U.S.

My family and I moved from Germany to the D.C. area and used UPakWeShip's x2 U-Crate 100 pallets. Start to finish, James (EU) from UPakWeShip was incredibly communicative, prompt in reply, and helpful. Similarly on the U.S. side, Kris (US) reflected the same level of service. Occasionally we dealt with delays and a few moments of "omg what is happening" which was completely expected given the pandemic + shortage of shipping containers = shipping delays. But every step of the way James (and then Kris) kept us looped in. As for all of the paperwork, they definitely clearly explained everything we needed to complete with examples (which we deeply appreciated given the already hectic nature of an international move). Everything, and I mean, every. single. object. including the heirloom glassware I packed and our beloved paintings, arrived unbroken and in beautiful mint condition. It all looked exactly as we had packed it the day we left. Start to finish, our things were picked up at the end of July 2021, and delivered to our doorstep mid-November 2021. So roughly 16 weeks start to finish. Thankfully, we weren't in a rush so this worked perfectly. This was a great shipping solution that we would readily use again should we find ourselves moving overseas once more! Bottom line? Great bang for buck, so long as you're flexible on your timeline and pack your things well. Vielen Dank UPakWeShip!

Bad communication from the start

I had high hopes for using upakweship for our international move from Canada. I requested a quote on October 14 and after various follow up emails to Devin asking where our quote is, we have STILL not received it. They claim it is due to needing to obtain trucking and shipping rates and port congestion (in a templated email) but other companies have been able to provide a quote in one or two days. Very frustrated at the lack of information after nearly a month and an indicated short timeline to move out of our home. Would not use them after this experience

NEVER use this company

NEVER use this company. Upakweship is the worst customer experience I've ever had. My shipment arrived utterly destroyed. The furniture in it looking like it had been thrown against a brick wall. They didn't take responsibility. Told me that I was WRONG that the shipment had been damaged and then repacked (which it had), offered me no assurances, no reimbursement and then didn't even have the common decency to call me and tell me any of this over the phone. The damage to the items is irreparable. They're ruined. So the insurance doesn't even matter. The least they could have done was reimbursed what I paid for not fulfilling their service of delivering my good safely. Their communication was inconsistent, flaky and borderline rude. Never work with them.

U-Crate 50 to move from the USA to Denmark

I moved from the USA to Denmark and ordered a U-Crate 50. The pallet and all supplies for it arrived within a week. It was easy to assemble and pack, directions were emailed when I ordered the pallet. I scheduled a pickup and the driver arrived on time and loaded my U-Crate 50 pallet. Communication with UPakWeShip was fantastic, all documents were provided for shipping and my questions were answered the same day or within 24 hours. Once the shipment left the US, I was contacted by the European team. They kept me up to date and answered my questions quickly. The time it took for my pallet to ship from the US to Northern Europe was 8 weeks. Everything arrived with no issues or damages. Communication was great. I highly recommend UPakWeShip for any international pallet shipping.
