Started in 2000, uniquevintage.com was founded by Katie Echeverry, a vintage fashion lover who would spend her weekdays working in pharmaceutical sales and her weekends on the hunt for vintage dresses to sell on the website she had started as a fun weekend hobby. I had to cancel an order shortly after…
I had to cancel an order shortly after I placed it as I bought the wrong gift for someone, they took days to respond to me and then told me it was too late to cancel the order and sent me a generic return guide. I asked if I could refuse the delivery since I didn’t even have to open the order, I got no response. The order still didn’t ship for another full week, when I received it 2 weeks later I returned the item with the return label. I also paid for shipping and free returns through Shop. A week went by after they received the item back, I contacted them to make sure they got it and asked when I’d receive my refund. Again I got another generic, careless response saying it takes 7-10 days to process. It had been seven days at that point, when it reached 10 days I still had received no refund confirmation. I had enough and I made a dispute through paypal to get my refund, they answered and tried to discount my return $20 less than what I paid saying I owed the shipping fee and tax, I paid extra for protection for this. They have their item completely in tact and unopened and their trying to still keep money from me. Extremely unsettling business practice and I will definitely never ever be buying from here again.
I have to add, they tried to flag this review for defamation and are not even responding in regards to the issue, I am still waiting for the correct refund and I did not receive helpful and prompt communication in regards to all of my inquiries. Just keep making the company look worse.

I ordered a beautiful purple confetti dress from the website as soon as they posted it. I had been following them for quite some time before I saw something I actually wanted and couldn’t live without. I paid $115. And some change with protected shipping included. I was so excited I commented on there Facebook expressing my happiness. The dress was up a week after I ordered the dress then disappeared without a trace from the website. I started to get nervous and decided to do some research on the company and found nothing but bad reviews about the company and the shipping time and the customer service. I waited another week before I emailed them inquiring about the dress arrival time as I ordered this dress in early January for Valentine’s Day in February. I did not want a refund I would have waited till after Valentine’s Day just wanted to know if I should get a dress from somewhere with better shipping for the actual day. I was met with an email stating they refunded my money due to the dress not being available. Are you kidding me! I ordered the dress and it was up for a week after I ordered it so which is it? Did you just not ship the dress in order of people who ordered it???? I’m very upset! I checked and checked and still got scammed. Never again save your money and order from Amazon love yall be safe! Don’t trust these small businesses

Awful Delivery and Non Existent Customer Service
Ordered an item on the 5th December, it said 7 to 10 working days for delivery. As of today (16th December) my order has not been shipped. I’ve emailed twice asking for an update and all I’ve received are the generic automatic emails saying someone will be in touch within 48 hour. I no longer want the item as it was a Christmas present and won’t get here in time now, and the refund policy says I have to wait for the item to get to me before I can send it back and get my money back, even though it’s not even been sent! I will never order from here again.

Cute clothes. I ordered 2 dresses the same size. One is way too small. I emailed and got a canned response saying they would contact me and don't send any more emails. Nothing after that. I tried to exchange online but although they have s size up it won't let me choose it. Would not recommend.

Every once in a while I try to order to see if their quality has improved. The prices keep going up and the quality keeps going down. They're now using AI for their models and clothing. Absolutely terrible.

The designs are still cute, but the execution is sloppier than before. Things that should fit don’t, and that’s what happened with my recent order—nothing fit, one item has a tear, and the fabric on one was actual plastic.
The reviews here made me concerned about dealing with customer service. But the good news is, they were very helpful (with me at least), and I’m getting to send in my returns with no issues, no obstinate representatives! The review function seems to not be working on their website for items even though I tried on multiple browsers and they need to fix that, but my CS experience with Alexis was very normal and pretty quickly resolved. Sad the items weren’t up to par, but glad it was corrected with a refund.
quality has gone downhill SO BAD
I have been a longtime Unique Vintage fan, but the quality of their products has taken a sharp downturn lately.
I ordered three pairs of trousers from them, all in the same size. Pair one fit GREAT -- except the button detail popped off as soon as I put it on (and they were not nightly fitted, there was no reason for this to happen.)
Pair two was dungarees that should have been a bit roomy on me per their size chart. They wouldn't even zip, the thigh area was extremely tight, and even tho it says waist 42-46 and I am a waist 36, they didn't close at my waist.
Pair three was LAUGHABLY bad.I have purchased the same style of these pants about once a year, and they had always been in lovely sturdy fabric with a little stretch. These were sheer, nonstretchy, basically paper-thin material, and though the sizing chart should have had plenty of room and I had expected to take them in a little to make them fit, they were 5-7" from actually being able to zip.
SO disappointed. I think this is the end of being a return customer for UV.

Product did NOT fit like its stated. Bought 4 items and only 2 fit.
Product did NOT fit like its stated measurements. It was over 4 inches too small across the back. I checked the measurements guide prior to purchasing and I fell into the Large category, which was what I purchased. Following contacting the customer service for assistance, I was told it was marked as ‘final sale’ and that I should check their policies more carefully before purchasing.. Buyer Beware!!
Slow shipping and short return time.
I placed an order and took close to a month to ship. When it did arrive one of the items didn't fit and they didn't know when it would restock. Now that it did finally come in, I couldn't exchange because it was more than 30 days. Such a short window.
Poor Shipping and No Way to Know What You'll Get
Multiple orders have had issues with no longer having items in stock AFTER everything was ordered and paid for. Took weeks to ship, and when it did, I kept getting emails that curtain items from my orders were out of stock. I've been sent wrong sizes, and offered a replacement, but took over a month to have any information on it. By that time, they no longer had my proper size. Very frustrating, I shouldn't have to worry if I'll get what I've ordered.
Poor Inventory Management
I used to like Unique Vintage for their unique styles, but this last experience really changed my view. I placed an order July 1 and didn’t hear anything until over three weeks later when they told me the items were sold out and wouldn’t be restocked. Why list items for sale if you don’t actually have them in stock? Any well-run business keeps proper inventory and doesn’t hold customers’ money for weeks only to cancel orders. This kind of practice is unacceptable and unprofessional.
Slow shipping, cannot contact customer service
Incredibly difficult customer service!!!! You cannot call them! NO chat! Email only, and responses take 18-36 hours. Completely unreliable shipping.
I ordered a garment on June 1, 2025, and it didn’t ship until June 12 because they were “moving warehouses “. They gave me a 25% discount on a future purchase.
If you want a garment for a specific event, you need to be in constant contact with them!
Two months of frustration
I ordered a mug and a dress from Unique Vintage. The mug arrived, but the dress never shipped. When I asked customer service about it, they said they would "replace" the dress (even though it never shipped ...?) and I would get an email when the "replacement" order shipped. After never receiving said email, I again contacted customer service, and they replied that the dress in question had sold out and might not be restocked. They did give me a refund, but only after nearly two months of waiting for an item I never ended up receiving. I can say with 100% certainty that I will never order from this company again. Cute clothes, but their business practices leave a lot to be desired.
Runs Very Small
Couldn't zip a size small dress up my back. I'm a size 2. Guess their clothes are built for total sticks?

I placed an order for 2 items at the beginning on April 16th, but received no shipment notification. I emailed their support address on April 28th for an update & received a response that my order was going to be shipped within 1-2 days and that they had recently switched warehouses, which was causing the delay. Fair enough. I didn't need the items in a hurry, so I thanked them & waited for a shipping update. Fast forward to today & I received part of my order. However, their site says that my order is 100% fulfilled. I called their CS phone number today at 2:00pm ET, well within their hours of operation (9AM-5PM PT) and received a voicemail response to use their online chat and the line went dead afterward. The online chat is unresponsive, so I decided to email again. I've ordered from them in the past with no issues, but right now all I want is my items and to forget they exist as vendors.
Customer service was excellent and I love my new dresses!
Although they took a little longer than expected to arrive, I am very happy with the dresses and with customer service. I ordered two small sized dresses, but found I needed medium. I contacted support and mailed them back. However, I received only 1 dress in Medium. I thought the other was just delayed, however, when I checked with customer service, they said TWO dresses were shipped. I explained only 1 arrived. They asked for the packing (which I fortunately saved!) They determined (without any further issue) that the weight showed 1 dress. They promptly sent the 2nd one and I am thrilled! Although it arrived too late for my event (ultimately my fault for ordering the wrong size) I greatly appreciate customer service for making things right. Note to everyone: Keep the envelopes/boxes until all of your order arrives! I am very happy and will be shopping with them again.

On top of that it was a "final sale" item which was never indicated to be non-returnable. I'm so heart broken.
