Very helpful company, work carried out in a considerate manner
Pleased with end result.
Now have a warm home and no longer have to carry in wood everyday 😊
Just had an assessment for solar panels and battery. The surveyor also suggested he put us down for loft insulation. So far so good. Will keep you posted.
The representative presented me with identity of who he was and who he worked for. He then informed me of all the checkes had to do for the survey and that he would carry on and he had the run of the house measuring and photographing all the inside and outside the property. He was very thorough, only a few questions to ask me,could not have gone any easier. Well pleased.
Rep was ontime and explained averything i needed to know. Very satisfied.
I had a very frustrating experience with Union Technical and would not recommend their services based on how my case was handled.
Initially, they visited my property and advised that I would qualify for funding. They carried out an initial survey and proceeded to apply for funding through the relevant scheme, which was reportedly approved. A further technical survey was conducted in October 2025, and I was told at the time that the work would be straightforward.
After this point, communication completely broke down. I heard nothing for several months and had to repeatedly chase for updates. Each time I contacted them, I was told that “the team will call back,” but this never happened.
After months of chasing, I was eventually told that I do not qualify for funding due to my EPC rating being too high (it's an E) — despite earlier assurances to the contrary. To make matters worse, they stated they were not required to share their data or findings with me.
This entire experience has been extremely disappointing. The lack of communication, inconsistent information, and absence of accountability has caused unnecessary stress and wasted a significant amount of time. I would strongly advise others to be cautious.
Robert was extremely nice and professional. He did a wonderful job explaining the process etc.
Assessment carried out yesterday by Colin Todd. He phoned before turning up to see if he could come a bit earlier than arranged and seemed to cary out a very thorough and detailed asessment.
They were efficient effective and very helpful and friendly
Caused thousands of pounds of damage to my house, installer admitted fault in writing and when contacted by insurance changed his mind causing unnecessary upset. Case now with solicitors.
Union technical put in a new heating system, ventilation and insulation on my property. I have to say the final outcome of the hearing is great and dealing with some of the sub contractors were fine but others not so great. The level of communication has been dreadful and very difficult at times. Work started in my property at the beginning of October 2025 and was just finished in the middle of march 2026 after problems caused by themselves. They have left part of my bathroom flooring unsafe and are unwilling to compensate me if I get it fixed myself. The reason for me choosing to fix myself is so it’s done quickly. I personally would avoid this company.

The staff from start to finish were first class, resolved any issues to get the project on track. The installers were equally great, they did the whole installation with no fuss or mess, very professional service.
Thank you to all the team at Union Technical

The person who scheduled the appointment deliberately lied to me to get me to agree to a survey. I specifically asked whether the solar panels were a problem because they had disqualified me in the past, and I was told Union Technical would replace them. I believed him. As soon as the surveyor arrived, he told me I would not be approved because I have solar panels. He even phoned to get confirmation. Union Technical wasted my time and the surveyor's time (though he still got paid for disrupting my day) and caused me undue stress just to get past my door, even though he knew I was not eligible. Such a letdown. Such a disappointment. So manipulative. I don't appreciate being lied to.

Just wanted to say from start to finish all the workmen, which there was a lot! Did an amazing job, from the scaffolders, solar panel installers, sparkies, plumbers, esp Kai, Ritchie, Ed and Declan they were amazing. To get my property completed on time those guys went over and beyond. I know some are sub contractors but all deserve bonuses! All friendly, funny, polite and respectful.
Thank you

Contractors installed solar panels - efficient, tidy workmanship and returned next day to commission a no light when they finished. Now late November in Highlands and they've been working most days when there's enough light - not this week though, dark and snow.

The workmen were efficient, the whole job was done quickly and with very few issues. Unfortunately initially there was a mix up with details of start times/dates & the insulation came through into a cupboard and a couple of other places. I also recently spoke to the salesman/agent David Montgomery that came out to talk to us and put us forward for the heating and solar panels. He was great and explained everything to us in a manner that we could understand. I'm extremely disappointed to hear that he hasn't received any payment for signing us and other customers up with Union Technical.
