We thought Starlink would be great as we are in a poor internet area near Bath UK. However, Starlink has proved to be a nightmare, regularly going off at peak times, streaming near impossible. We pa... See more

Customer service is non existent
Customer service is non existent, got given a starlink from my friends widow (he passed away) so I contacted customer service explaining I had a starlink but was unable to deactivate it from the old account because well the guy is dead, each response was ‘contact the previous owner to deactivate the account’ unless they are going to provide a Ouija board it isn’t going to happen to the whole set-up will end up in landfill 👍🏻🤦🏻♂️
Useless
Useless. Customer service non existent. Still no equipment and trying to talk to anyone is impossible. Would not bother with them. Have asked for a refund through my bank as its the only way to get my money back
Starlink. Terrible from start to finish
If I could give this 0 starts I would!
Ordered starlink that had free installation. Took about a week to arrive and I then questioned this and the online a.i chat said it didnt have free installation (I know it did!) Set it up in my garage to test it and standing right next to the router it was great at 350mbs. Moved about 5 steps away by my front door and it dropped to 200mbs. walked another 5 steps inside my house to my study and no signal. I went on the online chat (which is the most frustrating thing ever!) and got nowhere so decided to send it back. They won't refund the £75 activation fee even though I couldnt use it. After sending it all back ive now waited 6 weeks and still no refund of the £119 equiptment fee. Would never EVER recommend Starlink. Absolutely terrible service unless your router is right next to your pc and the customer service (or lack of) is the worst I have ever experienced.
Star not link
Great signal, great speeds but doesn’t work/ compatable with sky
Horrendous routers, awful service
Horrendous routers, I have had to buy 3 StarLink routers for a small house and WiFi still only works in the rooms where the routers are. So you need a £120 router in every room. I am now looking at buying a 3rd party router which means the three I have will be no use. Only customer service you can get is Grok so you're screwed when it doesn't work.
Worst company ever makes three look…
Worst company ever makes three look like the best. The dropouts are much worse than three. And they rip you off they are so expensive it's unbelievable not only that but the subscription starts before you go live so your basically paying for nothing. Customer servos is non existing. I tried to cancel in my 14 day cooling period and basically no reply so I was made to pay. They sent me a dpd bag to send my stuff back after the 14 days and it wouldn't even scan.
No Issues and Does the Job Really Well I Would 100% Buy it Again
I chose the Starlink Mini with the Roam plan because I travel frequently between countries. So far, I’ve used it in two different locations and it’s worked flawlessly in both.
I noticed some negative reviews, but most seem to relate to customer support. I haven’t needed to contact them, so I can’t comment on that. From a performance point of view, though, it’s been excellent.
It’s completely solved a real issue for me. I have an outbuilding where I work, and the Wi-Fi extender from the main house was unreliable. With Starlink, I now get consistently strong speeds and very low latency.
One thing worth mentioning is positioning. The app suggests placing the dish very precisely, but in my experience the difference is minimal. Whether it’s carefully aligned or just placed on a table, performance is broadly the same.
Given that I run several businesses, reliable internet is critical. This setup has been both dependable and very flexible. It even works well in a hotel room if you place it near a window.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend it—especially if you travel or need a reliable backup connection.
Terrible company
I have never experienced such poor customer care, no telephone number and nobody reply’s to emails. All you get is generic answers. Makes BT look marvellous
Criminals
Equipment delivered promptly, there it ends paid for fitting but first subscription taken before fitted , I am now trying to return dish and get a refund but are unable to speak to anyone the ticket created does not get responded to, I think everyone that works for starlink must have gone to space.
The way this company works is nothing short of criminal and should not be allowed to trade in the uk starlink stol £110 from me do not deal with this lot crooks!!!!
I can't praise Starlink highly enough!
I can't praise Starlink highly enough!
I placed my first order on Saturday 28th Feb. It arrived on 3rd March, which I was very impressed with.
Set-up couldn't be easier. Just download their app, put the dish anywhere that has a clear view of the sky, and just follow the app to get the dish pointing where it needs to be. Instant 100mb/s download. Compared to the service I had with BT, which varied anything from 1.2mb/s to 12mb/s on a good day.
If you live in a rural area, and struggle to get decent internet, don't hesitate. This service simply works, and works well.
I have also purchased a couple of their Router Mini's, to use as wifi mesh boosters. (Both arrived within 48 hours of ordering). The second one had a faulty mains power supply. I contacted Starlink via the app, and they put a replacement on order for me, in less than 5 minutes. Yes, it was a 'bot', but it was so easily dealt with.
My experience so far, is nothing short of excellent. - Keep ut the good work Starlink!
Beyond awful
Without doubt, the worst broadband service I've ever had the frustration of being forced to use. And all for £75 per month!
That's expensive
That's expensive! It's not worth it. The website shows 3 different prices from £35 to £75 just differ by speed, but in London they only charge the maximum of £75. It's not worth it, the prices are crazy....don't buy it please probably if you living in another country cheaper option that's fine but in UK some places just rip your wallet.
Utterly useless cancellation and returns process
Utterly useless. I cancelled an order but they still sent out the kit and charged me for a month's use despite the fact that the subscription has not been activated. They sent me a DHL label so I could return the kit and it has not been properly set up. DHL cannot accept the return as there is no record in their system.
Awful Starlink
I have no real option but to use Starlink. I live in an areas with no fibre broadband at the moment. My router has recently stopped working and the customer support is non-existent. You can’t talk to a person and the Bot just keeps telling me that the issue is resolved. I’m going to cancel the subscription and halt all further payments. I can’t wait for fibre. In the meantime I’ll go back to slow (but reliable) broadband. Starlink is simply awful. I wouldn’t touch anything with Musks finger prints on it ever again.
Not worked properly from day 1
Not worked properly from day 1! Faulty router, they then sent a replacement to the wrong house!! I am pretty tired of trying to get Starlink to work and have wasted too much valuable time. Customer service is non existent. The signal is terrible and it's never worked properly. I now need to get contractor to take down the aerial to ship back and cancel my contract. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!!!
I have the Residential 100 system…
I have the Residential 100 system originally on free kit version before I realise Standby didn't work on free kit. So I purchased the kit because I needed to be able to pause. Customer Services responded quickly and despite a couple of hiccups I now have the system working as I need.
The system gives me speeds no mobile or household could in my area. I installed it myself and I am getting stable 100mbps down and 30mbps up plus latency of 20 to 30ms.
I live in a semi rural area of Scotland surrounded by mountains and hills and lots of trees. Placing the dish just above my front door gives me uninterrupted view of the Sky.
Very happy.
Bad start but pleased with the out come…
My order 4 week to arrive but subscription starts before my starlink was even fitted £75 for
Fitting turned out to £300 so decided to return.just befor I phone a local aerial in stalker
It was £60 so I kept the kit
He came with in 15 mins it took
20 mins to fit and get running
I had bought a pole mount from
Amazing £20 the same thing on
Starlink was £90 if you use a starlink installer you have to have the starlink pole prices from £38 to over 100 dependent on style
Have is said after fitting I have increased the speed more than 3 times at 100 I have only had it for few days but well pleased so far
It takes about a hour to get up to speed
Starlink V3
After reading the reviews on here, I was in two minds to go for Starlink, but due to no other option, I took the punt. I have to say it was easy to fit, bolt to the wall, orientate and get working. Speeds are fantastic - very happy with the app, set up and unit.
Absolutely excellent
Absolutely excellent. I set it up myself and it's doing exactly what it said it would.
Don't go paying someone £600 to fit it..do it yourself it's mega easy.
All arrived quickly. Fantastic app to help you align the receiver.
Cheap initial outlay and low monthly cost with no contract..top marks. 8 days into it our broadband is a constant 109 Mbps regardless of our Welsh weather. We have various items such as security cameras, TV, Alexa, laptops, smart devices all connected without any hassle whatsoever. The weather has been overcast and raining and the internet is faultless. I paid another £38 for the extra mini router which I wired up our house into the loft and down into our bedroom just to help as the main router is in our conservatory. Full signal everywhere including outside, the garage and my workshop.
Total cost just incase you're interested.
Full dish, router, cable from starlink £19.
Steel bracket on eBay £15.
Mini router from starlink £38.
Long ethernet cable from Amazon £15.
Plastic bracket to mount main router on the wall from eBay £9.
Monthly charge with no contract from starlink £35.
Starlink app which shows you where to aim your small dish for set-up..foc
Couldn’t be happier
Couldn’t be happier. Struggled in Cornwall with 4G download speeds around 12Mbps (upload under 4Mbps). Asked a local Broadband advisor who pointed me at Starlink. Fitted within 3 weeks of the order and now getting 300+ Mbps/70 Mbps!
I’m a big fan of this type of technology and keeping my eye on Amazon LEO to bring prices down…
