Wouldn't recommend - Lead pay time poor
I wouldn't recommend this company the delays in payments were ridiculous, communication was poor. They are either going bankrupt or just enjoying the extra interest in their account from not paying people. Wouldn't recommend.

I have been a partner of this company…
I have been a partner of this company for many years and have completed hundreds of assignments for them. This apparently means nothing to Marketforce who have treated me very badly over my last job. They gave me incorrect information which lead to a non payment, then denied giving me the information and implied I was lying! From all the terrible reviews on here, it seems that this is not an isolated incident, and this is how Marketforce operate. Very sad considering without us, they would not have a business.
Thankyou for the Marketforce response. I emailed Jo Goldsmith as advised, however after a week I had not had any response!! Enough said.....

Avoid and Bycott at all Costs! Likely to be going insolvent!!
Having worked with Market force for almost 5 years I am disgusted with how they have treated their community of Mystery Shoppers. The payment system and customer service is horrendous. Most people are worried if we will actually be paid our money that we invest upfront!!! So technically our money that we need reimbursement for! They have gone down hill in recent years with fewer jobs and smaller fees not to mention the atrocities from their customer service team! I believe all mystery shoppers like myself who currently work for them should not complete any further assignments until we A) receive a full explanation B) Find out what our protection is if they are going bust C) Properly apologise with compensation. I would strongly recommend avoiding using this company at all costs and I will be pursuing this further externally! Good luck to all my fellow friends and colleagues at Market Force!

Poor communication
Poor communication. Instructions aren’t clear - wasted my time on w job that got declined.
Payment over a month delayed. Not just a delay in payroll (as this would have been resolved by now) I think this was planned by them as a tactic to them a bit of a breather. Not honest to their reviewers and updates don’t give any idea as to when we will actually be getting paid.

Losing the plot
As a long term marketforce partner, I am sad to report that the situation has progressively got worse.They have lost a lot of companies. Fees have fallen to very small sums of money. I am often sent to closed locations, not paid then the job goes back on the system. 2019 has been a terrible year for late payments with what looks like a collapse of the system in recent weeks. Poor pay, poor choice, harsh treatment, disorganisation, late and missing payments. It's a great shame,

I have been with Market Force for few years now and enjoyed working for the company. Up until now with out an explanation the payment has been delayed more than 5 working days. Surly clients must be told the exact issue as a result of this. Is the company in a phase of going bust? Is this the reason of as a whole like Thomas Cook did. I personally want to know whats happening. Despite getting an update, the company has taken a long time to find an actual date. What can I do to resolve this??

Why does it take so long to clear an assignment with you now?? Payments are more than often delayed through some error? Not as many jobs going up........ what is going wrong.... are companies not trusting you anymore???
I have been in contact with the company recently via email and i am sorry to say i find there lack of customer care poor.
I understand they must be getting asked when our payments are going to made for the last period, or to be honest when or if this pay periods payment is to be made, is a genuine concern for some who cannot afford to be out of pocket.....

Market Force has gone way downhill.
Nowadays they don't even cover the whole cost of what you're doing - so for example, if you go out for a meal you get a 'contribution' towards it. On a recent gig, what they offered me was less than 50% of what the cost of the meal would be and then you got "£1.50" payment on top. What even is the point of the £1.50? That's only half the bus fare. I could understand a business model where they don't pay you - but you get the goods/service for free - but this is ridiculous. I'm paying to go out for dinner, and transport myself to dinner, and then I have to follow three pages of instructions, submit a report and a bunch of photos in order to get half my dinner comped?
I don't know why anyone works with this company anymore.

I have done mystery shopping with Market Force for a number of years, sadly they are getting worse to work for. Payments are left ‘pending’ until they get nearer to the cut off date, this means you have to wait yet another 2 weeks to be paid, including the money you have already paid out doing the mystery shop!, They do not answer the phone any more when you call them, I feel this company is goi g down the pan and think it will go bump soon. If you look at their responses on here, most of them are the same, word for word!! Tells you something! Shame.

Absolutely appalling to work for
Absolutely appalling to work for. They remove assignments without notice, have lost 2/3 of their clients & in the last 6 months have paid late at least half the time.
Never take responsibility for mistakes they make but penalise you for the slightest error. They are also rude!

A brilliant company
A brilliant company. I use them to top up my income by eating out, buying products etc.
They are also understanding when things go wrong. Paul Rose has previously resolved an issue for me when not being able to write up an assignment due to circumstances out of my control.
In summary, if you want to be paid to shop and buy goods, food, products with a reasonable expectation, then pick Marketforce UK

This company will never learn from it’s past mistakes.
I picked up a job from their app in the evening. Bought tickets with my own money as per the job notes which cost £80. I was called the following day to be told by Aga that the job was released from my account as it was supposed to be completed on the date I picked up the job. So the job was released by someone last minute and was left in the system to end up getting picked up by me.
I had to call Arsenal to cancel my tour tickets but they said no refunds. Then had to chase them via email to get my money back. Market force did nothing to help me and left me to clear up their negligence. This is lack of care for their honest and hardworking shoppers.
This company pays peanuts to shoppers, treats them like dirt and always blames shoppers if anything goes wrong. It’s never their fault, always the shoppers fault
Frankly speaking stay away from this company, don’t waste your time or money. Clients have left them already and they don’t have much to offer in the way of good paying jobs now.

Not good selection of assignments. Long wait for reimbursement if at all.
I was a mystery shopper for Marketforce for a number of years.
The rates are minimal.
The reimbursement often takes 3 weeks plus.
Assignments are very limited, mostly Greggs and Wetherspoons.
On one occasion their website crashed meaning that I was unable to file a report.
I called to let them know well in advance of the deadline and they assured me that all would be sorted.
A couple of hours later an email went out to all shoppers with the same assignment that I had completed the evening before.
I called again only to be told that the assignment had been given to somebody else despite the technical issues their end.
Scarlett told me that she would cancel the assignment for the other shopper immediately and call me back but she did not.
I called to complain and a manager called Paul emailed me to ask me to call him.
I did call Paul straight back however I had to leave him a voicemail as there was no reply.
This was in May 2018 and I am still £40 out of pocket and still waiting for my call back.

Good company to deal with!
I have been a shopper with this company for a good few years. I have enjoyed the assignments. They are a fair company to carry out assigments for and I would absolutely recommend them, I have never had a problem with them but I would take a star off as I think the fees could be a wee bit better though.

Hardly any assignments and clients left now
It really is a good MS company and I have loved their assignments for the past 8 years. The website if definitely one of the best and quite open. The only challenge in the recent months is there hardly are any assignments and companies left compared to the years earlier and the client list appears to be shrinking... Really not sure what has gone wrong but it is tough to get assignments these days. Hope they improve their client base soon.

Issue Resolved quickly and kindly
I had an issue with payment from a client which was picked up by Rosemary. It was a tricky situation but she understood my problem and listened to my case. She very swiftly kept to her promise and resolved the issue within 2 days. Very grateful of her effort and it represents how much market force values it’s customers and clients.

Unsympathetic & Unorganised
The website is over-complicated and difficult to use. As a company, they're not very sympathetic towards extenuating circumstances - rather than accept a full and detailed report slightly later than 12 hours after I'd visited they'd rather claim that someone else has already done the visit (less than 24 hours after me) - okay then?
At one point I was getting about 5 or 6 emails either from the same people or about the same visits when it could have been amalgamated into one email. By the time you get the email the information is already out of date and the visits have already gone - they should take a leaf out of Mystery Dining by HGEM's book and show visit availability within the email itself to avoid wasting the time of the very people who bring in income.
Just seems like an all-round unorganised company to use, won't be a member any longer.

Market Force have been a great spring…
Market Force have been a great spring board to help me engage with retail. I have been able to keep myself active and get out and about doing small tasks which with the feedback I can see makes a difference to the clients to which the feedback is given back to. I have had no issues with expenses and using the app, and communication between myself and the MF staff has always been good news. I would like to have more variation and that is where other opportunities may arise. Not the biggest of payments but a great help in recuperation and keeping personal skills active. Please keep ours tasks coming - thanks.
