The service was terrible, was told shrubs would never come back in my sidewalk…sidewalk still full of shrubs, the yard looks exactly the same as it did before I paid for the services. Worse lawn care in the Business.

I have been using TruGreen’s Pro service for two years, and I am now entering my third year. When I first started your service, my lawn was virtually weed-free. I hired TruGreen because I wanted professionals to maintain my lawn and keep it healthy and free of weeds.

So why does my lawn have more weeds every year despite paying for your professional service?

Your advertisement makes it sound like you can take care of crabgrass and other weeds for good. If that is the case, shouldn’t my lawn be in much better condition after two years of treatment?

After almost every service visit, I have to call TruGreen again to complain about the weeds and request additional treatment. If I have to keep doing this, wouldn’t I be better off taking care of my lawn myself?

The problem is that I don’t have the knowledge or experience to do it myself. That is exactly why I hired TruGreen and continue to pay for your professional service.

I am paying for results, not just repeated treatments that don’t seem to work. It is extremely frustrating to spend money year after year only to see my lawn getting worse instead of better.

I would like TruGreen to explain why this keeps happening and what you are going to do to actually fix the problem.

This year, 2026 service has been very terrible. We have weeds all through the yard the whole entire season. This has been the worst year with them. It seems like the text are not properly trained and do not put down enough chemicals to kill the weeds. This is from Canton, Ohio.

This company totally destroyed my lawn over fertilized it. They tried to make it right by me by doing aeration and they messed that up and only did half the job. I will no not do business with this company and it’s also a huge hassle to cancel your account. They raise your rates without notifying you. stay away. There’s better companies out there.

I am dissatisfied with TruGreen’s service. The lawn has not improved despite the service I paid for, and at this point I feel that I have wasted my money.

What makes this even more unacceptable is that I was charged twice within two days. I contacted TruGreen to report the duplicate charges and request a refund, but my request was refused.

Regret are awful. They came out to aerate my lawn and destroyed it

We were promised, yes promised, a lush yard. Instead, we have a fungus in our soil, grassy weeds and a dead yard. They are not consistent in scheduling or helping us repair our yard. It's up to us to reach out to tell them what we think we need.

Very disappointed with this lawn company. Before hiring them, my lawn was green and healthy. After paying for treatments for a year and a half, my lawn became heavily infested with grubs and insects, leaving large areas yellow and completely dead.

The local sales manager initially told me the problem was watering and recommended more water. Thankfully, I didn’t follow that advice because their technician later inspected the lawn and confirmed that insects had eaten the roots.

They offered one free treatment valued at about $75, but that doesn’t come close to covering the cost of replacing all the dead grass. The sales manager also promised someone else would come inspect the property, but that never happened.

I ultimately canceled my service, and the local sales manager’s response was simply to “call customer service.” After being a paying customer for a year and a half, the lack of follow-up and concern was extremely disappointing. This experience made me feel that neither the customer nor the customer’s lawn is valued.

I would not recommend this company at all.

I used TruGreen for lawn care and mosquito control for over 3 years, and I can't recommend them based on my experience.

Last year, their technician overspread product on several areas of my lawn, which burned the grass. TruGreen did come out to repair the damaged spots, but over a year later, the grass in those areas still has not grown back.

I live on a 3/4 acre lot with a large backyard that had a significant weed problem. I was told the weeds would clear up once the whole backyard was treated. In practice, technicians repeatedly failed to adequately cover the full backyard and seemed to rush through the job. I complained multiple times by phone and email, and while they did send someone back to respray, I never saw any real improvement — the weeds kept coming back.

Mosquito control was the same story. I had to call multiple times because the mosquitoes weren't dying after treatment. It got to the point where my guests had to apply their own bug spray just to sit on my patio, despite paying for a service specifically meant to prevent that.

This year, I cancelled my service, but a manager called and offered to stay on and repair the lawn, personally telling me he would take care of my account. They came out on May 20, 2026 to repair the damaged areas, but the grass still did not grow back. Despite the manager's assurance, after I raised the grass repair issue again, I was contacted by a senior manager and told on August 20, 2026 that my service was being cancelled, with a partial refund offered. This happened late in the season, meaning the refund wouldn't come close to covering the cost of finding and hiring another provider for the rest of the year. When I raised concerns about the timing, I was told that since there was no contract, cancelling was entirely within the company's discretion. I have since received the refund — $299 — which does not come close to covering the cost of a replacement provider this late in the season.

Three years of loyalty, repeated complaints, and every reasonable chance given to fix the problems — and I was left with burnt grass that still hasn't grown back, an unresolved weed problem, mosquitoes that never went away, a broken promise to personally take care of my account, and then was dropped as a customer late in the season with a refund that didn't come close to covering my costs. I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere, especially if you have a larger property that requires actual thorough coverage.

We cancelled our subscription over six months ago, and lo and behold, they came out and treated our lawn anyway last month. There was no bill or notice left on the door as they usually do—just the little signs on the lawn indicating that treatment had been provided.

We called to clear up the confusion once we received the bill because we had ended our service, yet we were still required to pay half the bill. Unreal!

The weeds are still there, and now we’re being charged for a service we never requested. Do yourself a favor and don’t use them.

The yard was lush and green when TruGreen took over in the spring. It was full of crabgrass, weeds, and brown spots by the end when they finished. They did absolutely nothing, except waste our money. The guys would come and spin around in the yard for about 6 min, (a yard that takes over an hour to mow properly) Were called back numerous times for the continued dissatisfaction with the way the yard was looking, and the inadequacy of their service. A "supervisor" finally came out, and stated the obvious.."your yard did not fair well this summer, ....well HELLO! that's why we had your team here and spent big $$, was to keep it looking as good as when you started. I would not get Tru Green to sweep my driveway, much less take care of my yard. They deserve less than one star and I will spread that news everywhere I can.

A complete waste of money. TruGreen ruined our lawn and now I'm left cleaning up their mess. DO NOT CONTRACT WITH THIS CLOWN SHOW!!

My experience with sales rep, Derek, was great! He was very personable, an excellent listener and very patient with all my questions and concerns. He took the time to explain what was going on with my lawn issues and was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He also followed up after the work was done to check on the outcome. I could not have asked for a better experience. Derek was great!

I haven't used Trugreen in almost two years, yet I still get sent bills and threatening letters claiming that I am going to collections. Yet when I call, I find that I owe nothing. I swear it is a scam.

If you want a product that doesn't work on your lawn and be charged after you stop using it, then TruGreen is for you. Normal people might find the company a nightmare.

TruGreen is an absolute nightmare

I have been using Trugreen since 2004 and I can honestly say they have been exceptional. Whenever there is a problem which over the years doesn't happen to often I call and they take care of the problem as soon as possible. For the last few years I have been dealing with Kira Williams out of Pompano Beach, Fl 330064 and she has been a pleasure to work with. She has taken the time to come out to my property and fix any issues. After that she will contact one of the specialists who happens to be Jonathan who is the type of person that knows what to do and does it right the first time. One thing for sure you can rely on Kira Williams. Thank you John

They have come 5 times so far for weeds treatment in last 5 months and my back yard is still same and not even 5% improvement. I called them and explained it and asked them to cancel my service and they sent one more time a person for another treatment and charged me again and no improvement. I canceled the service and asked refund. I have before and after photos of my backyard and it’s same. They are looking into your pocket only.

They never do our whole lawn, not for weeds or bugs. They always have to come back. They spend less than 10 min from driving up, ringing bell, getting equipment out and put away and driving away.

Worst service, my green lawn now has no grass at all, whatever they did killed off all grass, mine lawn is the only worst lawn among all my neighbors.their overseeding service did not result in any new grass

The TruGreen, in homewood, alabama. WORSE MANAGERS EVER!!! They treat their employees like they aren't good enough. Mike and Kyle do not know how to give fair opportunities to the ones who deserve it. They do not show appreciation to the employees who have been there the longest and work the hardest. LARRY IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF AN EMPLOYEE THAT GOES THE DISTANCE FOR HIS CUSTOMERS. BEING ONE MYSELF. He has been doing my yard for a year now and always makes it better and very informative about everything I ask.
But His equipment always seems to break down and he ends up walking the massive yards that we have down here in Tuscaloosa. YOU need to give him a raise for dealing with a company who doesn't seem to care about there employee or his wellbeing!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had TruGreen out here several times now, my Lawn is still full of weeds, the grass is thinning. It looks horrible like they did not put any product under the grass to make it get better.
I am very disappointed with them. They used to be fantastic.
