Stayed at Kew bridge. Room overlooked car park, actively witnessed 3 hooded men with crow bars breaking into vans and cars at around 10 pm. Shone a light up into my face from the car park, felt uns... See more

Stayed at a Travel Lodge never again
Stayed at a Travel Lodge - 28C outside and no air con in room. An old filthy, dusty fan was in the room which made absolutely no difference to the heat in the room. Requested towels etc to be changed - one large towel was left and two hand towels - all were dirty, the 2nd bath towel had been taken away. Beds are not made and tea, coffee, milk not replenished. I reported all to the Reception clerk who only apologised. I would never stay in a Travel Lodge again.
Dump
Dump, mis-managed. Had complaint and no management on site and when I asked to speak to someone on the phone, I was put through to the assistant manager and he told me he couldn't hear me on the phone and disconnected me......when the receptionist phoned him back he then told me he was "in the middle of something ' and too busy!! Noone talk to now until 7am tomorrow. Stay away if you want a decent hotel
Blade wielding cav
I have had one or two nice stays at travel lodge
But in may 2026 I did think being threatened with a knife was going a bit far on top of poor food, no service and non existent security.
Perhaps put staff through public relations courses, catering services and anger management before charging people to be abused.

the worst hotel i have ever stayed in
Hi, I hastily made a booking online for 1 nights stay in Droitwich on the 8th of May 2026,when i arrived at the hotel i was informed that the booking was for the 10th of May and infact the hotel was full for the 8th of May,I do not know how this mistake happened although i presume it was because of the booking procedure on your website and i was shown the next available date at this hotel as it was full
and i accidently booked the wrong date by mistake. I was assured by the reception that i could use this booking at another date and even in a different Travel lodge, so the person helped me book another Travel lodge hotel for the 8th of May in Broomsgrove which was the closest with availability. However when i attempted to change the original booking,as i had made a non refundable reservation , i found out it was only possible to change the date but i had to stay at Droitwich which as i was on my way home to Durham obviously i do not require staying there. Therefore i contacted customer services to obtain help with this mistake and i received a message stating that no one was available and i would be contacted soon , i was aware that i had until 12 pm on the 10th of May to change the booking however i did not receive a reply from customer service until after this date and so i was informed that it was know to late to change the booking and i have lost my payment.
I really feel that i have been caught in some kind of trap due to Travellodges rules and booking process on line ,it has left me feeling deceived after putting my trust in your company and i have in effect paid twice for 1 nights stay.Furthermore i can not understand how this sort of treatment of your customers can be allowed in this country and i am seriously considering contacting trading standards due to the service i have received
Bradford South
Bradford South: If I could give no stars I would. The towels were dirty. The hotel is dirty and tied. The breakfast the hot food was cold even after complaining and the croissants were hard. arrived late no mention to enter car reg or anything to do with parking. Ended up parking tickets. Stay well clear.

Absolutely rank at Rotherham central. Poo marks on floor and broken AC held up with some sort of train pass and tapes!!!
Travelodge, you should be utterly embarrassed at the state of your hotel!!

The Lodge on the M2 service station in…
The Lodge on the M2 service station in need of serious renovation. Its tired, and not in good shape. From the entry doors to the rooms itself.
The saving factor was the outstanding care the staff gave me. Heating problem in my room. Immediately sorted
Marie-Anne was particulary excellent in problem solving and welcoming when I arrived.
Travel lodge Chelmsford
Stayed at the location for 3 nights, the staff were absolutely brilliant . I had a few issues with my room card not working but each time they immediately sorted it. The Reception staff and Breakfast staff couldn’t do enough and a special thankyou to Jayne the breakfast Manager who went that extra mile at a busy time .
Annual visit to the Dunmow Travellodge…
Annual visit to the Dunmow Travellodge for our onward motorcycle trip to London 24-25/04/26.
Service by the team, food and room were all great. Particular shout out to Laura and Austin who again were fantastic, checking us in quick time, looking after us during the evening meal and drinks and then breakfast.
Appalling
My son just got back from a college trip to London, they stayed at Travelodge Luton. He was so unhappy with it. Room was filthy, lock didn't work so he had a chair against it. Shower had all mould around it. Fan didn't work in bathroom and dust and cobwebs everywhere. Bed sheets had hairs on it, toilet flush scraped the wall. Room hadn't even been hoovered. Absolutely disgusting. Bearing in the mind the last story covered over safety, I am horrified my son didn't feel safe there. I will never stay there or my family......
Taken payment with no confirmation
I made a booking but never got confirmation of booking. BUT payment was taken from my bank. I managed to speak to someone after a eternity of finding a phone numer that worked!
I was told they couldn't do anything about this as they had no idea about booking even though money was taken and to contact my bank. Which I did and they said I have to wait 10 working days to get my money back!
I paid £56.99 for original booking, when I tried to book again as needed the stay it had doubled in price! I reluctantly paid this. I still have not received my money back which has left me money down from my bank. It is impossible to contact Travelodge via phone easily. I have learning difficulties and find it hard to convey what im saying via text.
I would appreciate to speak to someone regarding this.
I find this unacceptable service.

Please avoid Letchworth extraction does not work in 4 of the rooms me and other members rented staff are very rude and they don’t mind renting rooms to a person who has to be 18 by law then refuses alcohol …. Ludicrous 🤔
Travelodge Preston Central next to a prison
Somehow i accidentally booked the Travelodge Preston central instead of the travelodge North. Didn’t realise this until too late. Customer services were polite but refused to try & change our booking to other hotel. Reviews on this hotel sounded awful & when we got there we saw that is was right next to a prison & in a very uninviting area. We asked if could cancel the second night & they refused. Can’t understand why this simple task of transferring our booking from one hotel to another wasn’t possible. Couldn’t face staying there so lost £133. Managed to get a lovely room at Premier Inn in chorley for almost the same price. Will never stay at a Travelodge ever again
My husband and I had to find a place to…
My husband and I had to find a place to stay in St Anne’s due to a family death. We arrived around 11pm so literally wanted to go to sleep ready for the mornings funeral. Firstly I have to say that what seemed like a reasonably priced room soon became a very expensive stay. When we arrived we checked in and asked if there was any free blue badge parking nearby. After a conversation about exactly where we were parked, we were explicitly told if we were parked in the blue badge spaces, with our badge on show and directly outside the M&S shop we would get free parking. Great we thought until we left in the morning when we saw the sign which said there was no exceptions and to pay on arrival. Sadly we arrived 10hrs earlier and no way to rectify. Now the room itself was clean and we had no issues except, there is an additional charge for the extended checkout. There’s no WiFi except for one 1/2hr session for an extra cost. That’s fair and clearly laid out but try using your phone and it’s like you’re in a faraday cage. Anyway we packed all of our belongings up ready by the door so we could arrive back from our funeral ready to grab and go BUT our key card was blocked at least 10mins early. That was almost fine because it meant I had another chance to go to reception and to tell them about the parking conversation we had had the previous night. There was a notice on the desk to say no one was available and a number to call if we needed someone. All good but I could see someone behind the desk. Eventually the gentleman came out, apologised for being locked out early but as for the parking he was very disinterested. He suggested we go and speak to someone at M&S because they can sort parking issues our. So on the way out we went and spoke to the manager at M&S who expressed utter frustration because we were not the first to be sent his way. The Travellodge staff were so bored looking ,very disinterested, had no empathy and simply wanted to pretend the issue wasn’t an issue. Two weeks later we have been hit with a £100 parking fine, so our £45 booking quickly grew to£160 without any food because apart from a breakfast package of a cereal, croissant and flapjack (for a further charge).
We tried to contact customer services not because I expected them to wipe the parking fee but if you’re running a hotel chain then surely expecting the frontline team to be knowledgeable, friendly, accessible etc should be one of the very first things that should be in place. They are the face of the company and but for the information they gave us about parking directly in front etc we wouldn’t be so out of pocket. As someone who is no longer able to work due to a severe disability meant our stay took almost 2 weeks of my allowance. I’m sorry Travellodge but I will never stay with you again!

Stayed at travel lodge covent garden it was very clean staff were great and they had a smoking area close to everything
Stayed at Travelodge Slough recently…
Stayed at Travelodge Slough recently and it was an okay experience overall. The location is quite convenient, especially if you need access to the town centre or nearby transport links, which was a big plus.
The room itself was clean and fairly comfortable, but a bit dated and could probably do with a refresh. The bed was decent enough for a short stay, though I’ve definitely had more comfortable nights elsewhere. Noise was also a bit of an issue at times.
Staff were polite and helpful when needed, but nothing particularly stood out in terms of service.
All in all, it does the job if you just need somewhere basic to stay, but don’t expect anything special.
The newly refurbished travellodge Huddersfield
The newly refurbished travellodge in Huddersfield is lovely. Beautiful smell of new carpets, rooms immaculate no bashed or marked walls. For money we paid it was brilliant. Staff lovely too.
