I purchased a Travel Buggy in February…

I purchased a Travel Buggy in February did not use it till May 2 of the plastic parts are cracking. I contacted the company Spoke to Robbie who was ok then was transferred to Lenny? Who then transferred me to RUDE BELINDA THE MANGER OF THE WARRANTY DEPARTMENT.
I explained to her that maybe it be a possibility that ot was already a crack in the parts during delivery ? Or perhaps it could have been dry rotten maybe she was not understanding to the fact that I just paid 3000$ cash for this chair and should not have to put any money into it as of yet .
I can read and comprehend but every policy and rule sometimes may have to be evaluated.
I have so many people stop me and want to take pictures of the chair sake me questions. I get out with my bad legs and demonstrate how easy the chair is to navigate. Just o have to be stuck with a chair that has a few defective parts.
I was only asking to have the parts sent to me because it is no want different pieces of the chair is going to crack that easily. I loved the chair and treat it like gold because of how it helped me but now it is useless because I can not put another dime out to a chair I paid 3000$ for. I am currently in the process of hoping someone from Travel Buggy can assist me with a better solution.
Signed a very frustrated customer at this point.

Honest Review of The Travel Buggy

Disappointing and Unsafe
I purchased the Travel Buggy with high hopes for my first trip to Europe, but my experience turned out to be extremely disappointing and concerning. From the outset, the wheelchair was faulty, pulling to the left and struggling to turn properly, which I initially attributed to the flooring. However, problems persisted throughout my trip.
During the trip, the buggy constantly veered to the left even when I pushed right, making it very difficult to control. It sometimes refused to back up, and on a very slight incline, it tipped forward, ejecting me and causing injuries in Barcelona. The chair was clearly not safe for travel or everyday use.
As I used it more, it became apparent that the product was defective. On day 5 or 6 of use, it buckled beneath me, folding unexpectedly and causing me to fall and injure my back significantly. This forced me to go without a wheelchair during the last part of my trip, ruining my experience and causing emotional distress, especially as I was traveling to fulfill a personal promise to my mom after her passing.
I also encountered persistent control issues, poor performance on cobblestone and gravel (despite claims that it handles such surfaces well), and overall unsafe behavior. I had to rely on my son in law to constantly be near me to ensure my safety, and he usually had to push it. The controls often failed, and the chair would tip or malfunction, leaving me in danger. It was impossible to navigate certain terrains, contrary to advertising claims.
.The chair also caused physical damage, leaving tire marks on floors (even with clean tires) and the footplate was continually dragging due to the frame weakening and it leaning forward. I sent the company videos of the travel buggy malfunctioning in Italy. I wanted proof when I got home that even if I was attempting to turn right, it would veer left. Sometimes it would speed up considerably as it did it, causing me to almost go off curbs and into streets. I also sent a video my son in law made showing it after it broke completely. He showed himself sitting in it and how it would collapse on him.

The company agreed to issue me a full refund on the condition that I sent the buggy back, since I had used it for less than a week. However, after I returned the product, they decided to reimburse me with less than half of the original amount, citing damages. These so-called damages included scratches and scuffs, but they were entirely caused by the buggy’s faulty design and unsafe collapsing on pavement. The product's inherent defects led to the damage, yet they are attempting to blame me and withhold a significant portion of my refund (about $2400) based on issues that were a direct result of their defective and unsafe product.
Furthermore, they are trying to charge me for an extra battery that I never purchased. They also claim I did not return a hook, but I have photographic proof showing it was included in the return shipment they received and THEY photographed. Additionally, they are accusing me of not returning an arm extender, which is not even an original part I received nor compatible with my model. Their attempts to misrepresent the situation and withhold my rightful refund are clearly dishonest and unfair.
Overall, I experienced distress, injury, and a feeling of betrayal by a product that advertised features it could not deliver. It is unsafe, unreliable, and poorly manufactured. My advice to potential buyers is to avoid this product at all costs. It caused me more harm than help, and I strongly caution others before considering this wheelchair.
