I cannot state this enough stay as far…

I cannot state this enough stay as far away from this company as you possibly can. It will be one of the worst mistakes you will ever make in your life and that is an absolute promise. I have literally spent the last ELEVEN hours (7 hours yesterday) trying to get my previously fine and fully functional iPhone activated properly. They said it would take 48 hours and now my phone is stuck in their system and I can’t even get out of it. So they basically stole my phone number and I can’t transfer it anywhere else because they claim now they can’t verify me even though they’ve already verified me 30 times literallyI haven’t even contracted with them. It’s it’s an absolute nightmare. They’ll transfer you the numbers and you will wait hours in an endless USELESS loop and you will then after 2 or so HOURS be transferred to the next level, then the next, then it will start ALL over again until someone will tell you…maybe in ANOTHER 24-48 hours. They also transfer to numbers when the team has already left so you’ll wait all night - it’s sick. This company is a scam and will start your billing even if your service never activates. And if you even think of transferring your old number, they’ll be lock it so you can’t even use it for any other provider because then I’ll try to authenticate you and you won’t be able to authenticate it. It’s just an endless loop stay as far away from this company I cannot state this enough.

Just joined Total Wireless to try it out

Just joined Total Wireless to try it out. They offered a free smart phone with the $40 basic unlimited. Then offered $5 off plan price if you sign up for auto pay! I signed up thinking I could save a little more but they took another $40 out immediately to apply to next months payment!? WTF? Their service is fair but streaming is spotty at best. I'm only a few weeks in and already noticing several issues so be warned! Trying to save a little money is not always the best!!

Rarely has any other company failed so miserably

There are not enough words in the English language to describe how bad of a company this is. Customer for 8 years but hoping to switch ASAP if they ever actually send me the phone I paid for a week ago (still no tracking number and they can't give me a reason for the delay). Wild goose chase after wild goose chase. Essentially a CLUELESS FLOCK OF GEESE CHASING EACH OTHER IN CIRCLES and wasting your time and money.

Total 💩

After 3 months of service there were 2 scam attempts and on the third month (took me 2days to understand this) My bill was accepted electronically, but zero service all together. Tech support tells me to restart my phone....(duh?)
“My phone has signal but mobile network state says disconnected. Please reprovision my SIM and refresh network registration" I repeat over and over with the same lame response "it's you,not us" I changed service. NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!!!!

Worst customer service known to man

Total offers a nice value prop being on Verizons premium network, but is ultimately held back by an ongoing list of system issues that their customer support is completely unable to resolve. We've had an account for almost 2 years and activated the bundled Disney+ perk but then randomly had it canceled despite us paying for a premium plan. Total has no idea how that happened and it's impossible to speak to anyone who can restore the perk, instead they just read a script to me every time I call. On separate occasions our phones have had the service dropped if someone upgrades to a new device or we bump someone up to the Unlimited+ plan etc. We're on autopay so it's not been a lapse on our end. It's truly astonishing how they stay in business and if it weren't pennies on the dollar I would have left after the first major incident. I'm fed up.

They don't give you a chance to cancel a placed order if for some reason you change your mind so you have to refuse the order when you get it but you don't get refunded. In my opinion they are stealing your money. I refused a sim card and it got sent back and they did receive it but, I didn't get refunded.

WASTE OF TIME

WASTE OF TIME. had the service for 5 months with nothing but problems. only 5G signal worked ..if it ever goes to 4G.. forget using your phone nothing works. then I upgraded to their highest plan 5G+ UNLIMITED so I can hotspot more from my laptop... HUGE MISTAKE. hot spot speed got THROTTLED down to 5mbps absolutely useless. NO ONE informed me upgrading my plan would choke my speed to useless. went from 80mbps down to 4-5mbps only. calling them is a waste of time EVERYTIME.

I opened a Total Wireless account in…2024

I opened a Total Wireless account in late December 2024 and was assigned a U.S. phone number. I obtained that number for a limited but important purpose: to complete U.S. banking and related online transactions while living in Italy. The line did not work properly. I could not receive calls, and I could not receive text messages. In practical terms, the service did not perform the function for which I purchased it.
When I eventually contacted customer service, I was informed that my number had been terminated after approximately three months of non-use. Even accepting that explanation at face value, what followed is indefensible: Total Wireless continued charging me $30 per month on auto-pay after terminating the number. They continued taking my money for a service they were no longer providing and, because the account was terminated, I could not resolve online.
Because I live in Italy, I initially assumed the problem was a technical issue related to location or delivery. Instead, the real problem was that Total terminated my phone number and account access, and yet the recurring charges continued.
In an effort to resolve this problem, I spent nearly three hours on the phone with one of your customer-service representatives trying to resolve this issue. The representative was unable to access or resolve the relevant information. Because the line had already been terminated, I also could not access any online account to disable auto-pay myself. I was then told that auto-pay had been turned off, and I received an auto-generated email stating that it had been turned off. That representation was false, because I was charged again afterward.
A few weeks later, I spent approximately another hour on the phone with three additional representatives. None of them was able to provide reliable confirmation that auto-pay had actually been canceled. So the situation is now this: Total Wireless terminated my line, continued charging me anyway, deprived me of any meaningful account access, falsely indicated that auto-pay had been canceled, and then continued billing me again.
Correspondence with the corporate office was even more frustrating. They basically refused to gived any refund because they could not "verify" my account, which again, none of the customer representatives could not do after hours on the phone. In sum, Total Wireless is a total fraud.

Yep! Horrible customer service!

Bought one of their low-priced Moto phones from WM (locked to Total Wireless). Talked to Cust Svc, and they offered to lower my monthly payment if I stayed with them. First bill came - still the higher rate. Forced them to unlock the phone, and went to Consumer Cellular. TW deserves their generally bad rep!

If I go less than one star I would

If I go less than one star I would.

The service is horrible, I paid for 2 months plan that come with the phone(Moto edge 2024). It doesn't work in many areas as the mobile network just goes off you will get no connection to Internet in so many areas near Chicago. As a delivery driver I depend on my phone everyday and Total wireless makes it impossible.

I contacted their customer service and they said they can see I am not getting data and they cannot help me as they cannot reset my phone. "It's their phone".

I transfer from Metro by T-Mobile to this, but now I'm going back to then as I didn't have any problem with the network with them in Chicago, Dallas etc.

The map they show is fake I guess.

Total wireless is a scam

Total wireless is a scam. I had them for about 2 years but I always had the lowest plan because I mainly used this phone for text & calls. On 4/1/2026, I upgraded my plan to the highest plan. The same day and each day after that, my Internet was extremely slow. I can check emails, search in the internet browser but any video calling, receiving or calling out, short clips, movies or any video, it won't work. The speeds are extremely slow. I called 3 times and one of the times I was on the phone for at least 3 hours, troubleshooting. They gave me so many excuses such as, see if your signal or video works outside the house, which I did and it still dint work, oh you need another sim card, I did, same issue. I just made a complaint through the FFC. This is ridiculous, 9 days in and can't use anything with videos.
