Absolutely awful company

Absolutely awful company, management are totally clueless and the company is so badly run it’s embarrassing. I lasted 7 days and got out quick, never worked for an unprofessional bunch of people like it. KEEP AWAY DANGEROUS.

Didn't even stay 6 months.

This happened a long time ago, but I never got around to writing a review for them. Looking at recent reviews, this is definitely still relevant now.

Everything sounded great at first. The interviewer was the South West regional manager, a very nice fella, who sadly ended up having to constantly deal with me messaging him about the hassle I was receiving while working for TSS.

I know that is their job, but it shouldn't have been that way!

For a short time I began covering local Tesco shifts, as expected. Nothing shocking there, as this was explained early on.

Eventually two stores requested that I became their permanent guard, replacing the others (who apparently were not decent guards). I was liked and professional enough to be considered for those positions, so ultimately this happened and I felt great. Even despite the long hours and late finishes.

A couple of months go by and the hours shrink to a ridiculous two days per week, one day in each store, then covering other's shifts the rest.

This was not what I was promised. TSS promised that if you were a hard worker, you would be rewarded with a more stable work pattern that didn't include covering.

Now I wouldn't have minded if the shift were local, but they were not. One shift was 5-6 hours north, which then left me in the horrible position of having to leave the store early, so the driver could then pick me up at a decent time, to pick up another guard at the other end of the country. The store manager said "What is the point in you being here?" and I could only agree with their statement in both disbelief and frustration.

I didn't get home until 2am that day and then was expected to start another shift, yes covering yet again, at 6am the same day. I don't know about you, but that is unacceptable.

Due to working in the public sector, the chances of becoming ill are increased by a huge amount and I caught two extremely awful colds within a month. Rather than spread my germs around, I stay home. Always have done, always will. This is a non-negotiable for me.

I call way ahead of time and explain that I can't make the shift. Absolutely zero empathy from the control room whatsoever, just a pissy attitude.

The next time I lose my voice entirely and can barely speak. So again I call and again I'm met with the same hostility, but this time combined with the phrase "Well can't you come in for half a shift?"

Nothing at all in regards to my wellbeing or the fact that I can't speak at all. What if there was an emergency? How would I be able to alert anybody, if I can't speak? Ridiculous.

I put in my week's notice straight after hanging up and then spent the next week in bed, recovering.

TSS did not care one bit about my mental health (ADHD, depression and anxiety), state of mind, the promises they made, how any of this would affect a person. All they care about is money, conveniently forgetting that without guards they wouldn't have a company to begin with!

Worst HR

Worst HR, worst Company.. It's been a year I'm emailing HR to clear my dues as I had a TUPE to a different company and they don't even bother replying to emails like it doesn't even matter to them that they owe someone money. Sent emails with All details but still hasn't got paid. I'll soon file a formal complaint against them and take them to the court

Ex employee for a reason!

I worked for TSS for about five years. In that time I was offered no training, no possibility to advance within the company, they took away the little benefits I had from the previous company as well when I was tupe over. When I eventually left them they stuffed me of my holiday money I worked hard to accrue during COVID. This company is fraudulent and as corrupt as they come. Avoid.

Don't be too quick to label a company

After reading some of the reviews regarding this company, I felt even more compelled to mention a security officer by the name of Rachid Ferrad. He works very hard at Tesco's in Sudbury and has often had to deal with very aggressive and agitated customers the likes of those mentioned recently as a major headline that retailors sadly have to contend with daily. The headline was, "A nation of shoplifters". Despite the above mentioned Rachid always comes across very professional with a calming influence even in the most difficult of situations. Is kindness and professionalism doesn't stop there as he's extremely knowledgeable of the shops products and always willing to help find a certain item whether on the shop floor or within the shops warehouse. So, please don't always judge a person by his company as there are some amazing people working front of house in the most awful companies trying to level the playing field of their peers doing the company a huge injustice just like Rachid Ferrad.
This review foe Rachid is long overdue. Thank you for your hard work and warm comforting smile whenever I use Tesco's.

asian guard bully hiding behind a vest.

we where scanning and packing then a small jumped up guard in a stab vest came up to us looking in the bags and shouted not scanned this and then went on to order the till worker to watch us in a loud voice, must have been 10 inch's from my face and about 12 people all looking gone out.

Then as we walked out the so called guard tried to
stop me in front of the alarmed barriers and also i had already gone passed the new till barriers with no problems, shouted to empty my bags and he was going to check all the items.

so i told him no way and started to walk out, then he came walking over hands in his stab vest with a large smile on this face ordering me to stop or else.
so i said or else what he then started to record me on his cctv.

Total Security Services guard to do this and he had make a lot of boo up about what had gone on and that i have abused him,

morrison changed there minds as no proof of threats or abuse, now he is pushing shoplifting also no proof.

is this the correct person for this job NO
one day he will do this to the wrong person and he will pay for his attitude.
does not live in coalville

Bad experience from Sia officer at Boots Fulham

I visited Boots in Fulham and had a extremely bad experience with one of thr Sia officers from this company. Failed to display he's Sia badge, refused to provide he's Sia number and was extremely aggressive toward me wanting to you excessive force, saying he would kick.me out of the store. What was the reason because I couldn't work out how to use the self service tills and the Boots staff did not want to try and help me. I asked for the Boots staff details and he did not like this and so thr drama began. I have since complained to the Sia board about thr officer and also spoken to Emily. I was unable to get through on the phone call even thou I had tried several times.

I will like to say most of the review…

I will like to say most of the review are lies, I have been with TSS for long time and I will say some managers like Emmanuel the one who covers Wembley area is the most foolish manager they have in TSS, I thinks TSS belong to his father or family member, so many officers left because of him and the company is not doing nothing to stop the problem, making someone a manger don't mean they should treat people like nothing. I have complain about him to the big managers and nothing was done. anytime anyone tried to apply for something better Emmanuel will stop it and lie about the officer, Emmanuel gives role to people who is rude like him. I will take the name of TSS far is nothing is done asap.
