I ordered three items from Toast during the sale season and I asked the post office to redirect the parcel to the post office as I wasn’t home.
I received a notification from the PO that the parcel was ready for collection the following day, but when I went to collect it at the NXG post office around 10.40 they couldn't find it. I checked my email to confirm I was at the correct post office. When I clicked on the email confirmation tracking link, it indicated that the parcel was collected at 9:45 AM on the same day, but the post office had no record. They explained that they always verify customers' IDs and need to scan the barcode on the parcel to complete the delivery.
Additionally, I haven't received any email notification about the collection from the post office, which is odd.
I contacted Toast about it, but since the parcel was redirected by me and handled by the post office, they informed me that they wouldn't take any responsibility. This means I need to figure out what happened.
I called the post office, and they advised me to file a complaint at the post office counter, which I did, but they told me to call the main office. The main office said that the post office people might gave the parcel to the wrong person. So frustrating!
My order was 368 pounds.
UPDATE
After I posted my review, a representative from Toast called me directly and refunded the money for the lost order. I truly appreciate their response, and I will shop with Toast again because I love their clothes and style. Next time, I plan to buy from the store in person!

I received my order from TOAST in good time. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to wear the dress I ordered and immediately tried to send it back. Not good! The order was delivered by DHL. When I contacted TOAST's return site, it sent me to a combined TOAST and DHL return page which included a calendar for pick up return. The calendar was not correct and I couldn't put in an appropriate date for pick up at my residence. I contacted other delivery services but TOAST did not send me a return label with an address. I have spent hours on line and on the phone trying to find someone to help me. Of course I tried calling TOAST but that didn't work either. Given a phone number for US residents to contact TOAST did not work. Writing an email takes at least three days should they decide to contact back. Disappointed with the business and customer service part of the company.
Let me update my recent review of TOAST. The following day after I left my review on Trustpilot about TOAST (English, clothing shop), I was contacted by
TOAST customer service. They immediately reached out to apologize for my difficulties with their return portal and also with the US customer service phone line. They also took care of my return with DHL by contacting the company and having a pick-up dispatched for my return.
I want to apologize to TOAST for reacting to my frustration of not being able to reach them. I wish I had been more patient about them contacting me through email. They demonstrated consideration and courtesy and are committed to ensuring my concerns are addressed promptly.

I bought a beautiful yellow courdroy skirt not long before Christmas which I wanted to wear on my birthday the 2nd January. Unfortunately I realised after a couple of try ons that it was too big but the packaging and return label had got thrown away in the melee of Christmas. Now there is no way to return it even though it still has its label on and I just want another size. I’ve never bought on line before so didn’t know the process. A very expensive mistake!!!

Well made ethical clothing, Toast has a great ethics with slow fashion at the forefront.
These are forever pieces and the most comfortable pieces in my wardrobe. If I could I would fill my wardrobe with pieces from Toast.
The only downside is the euro conversion, which I blame on Brexit, and the fact that you can't avail on free shipping on non sale items, even if you spend in excess of €500.
I think this is the fifth or sixth time I’ve been sent soiled clothes from Toast. It’s getting to be insulting. I am a big fan of their items themselves. The quality and aesthetic is something I haven’t found elsewhere. But this most recent order, both shirts (in different sizes) have stains on them. One has a pocket sewn on askew. I was offered a discount on the faulty, dirty shirt, but to be honest, it would still be over £100 for an item that would just disappoint me every time I tried it on. I’m torn because I basically dress in toast every day, which is a reflection of quality, but as a company, they have a very poor care for their customers.

I have ordered several items from Toast. They’ve arrived promptly, communication has been excellent, the size guide on the website has worked perfectly and I love my clothes. I would happily buy again. Not sure why people are complaining, I’ve had a lot worse service from High Street stores.
Shocking customer service. I made an order of £578 and the delivery address needed amending as the address does not exist.
I contacted them straight after the order was made. They told me that I could not amend or cancel the order and that it would be sent even though the order was not despatched yet.
A waste of time and resources when the delivery could’ve just been amended or cancelled.
So disappointed in Toast… I’d had so much faith in them for years.

Ordered an item as a Christmas present on the 11th of December. It just never arrived. Called today and the customer service lady told me it was a problem with Evri.
She said we can't send out a replacement until the parcel gets back to us from Evri. Surely Toast should take responsibility for the item not arriving instead of blaming the courier.
They told me just to re order and there is no chance it will arrive before Christmas. Truly shocking customer service and seems wrong to blame the delivery service when a customer doesn't receive a xmas gift that was ordered a week before the cut off.
Very disappointed to say the least.

Always excellent products and service.
I recently purchased some cotton cord trousers which arrived quickly and are exactly as shown and described. They are of very good quality and the sizing was spot on. I will be wearing them with pleasure.
It's a while since I have bought anything from this company but the high standard has been thankfully maintained.
Recommended with confidence.
I can't fault Toast clothing and have Been a customer since there infancy, there clothes are good quality and a bit different, shipping and refunds are quick and efficient, any issues are resolved immediately, customer service are always helpful and remain in the UK, (which is unusual for most companies!..). I know some items are made in China, which I would prefer if they were more locally made. I do however, appreciate some goods are artisan and help the local economies, where ever that may be, internationally.
I actually feel like a person instead of just a customer when buying from Toast and feel my custom is truly valued. Items are pricey for me, meaning I only purchase a few things a year, but am also a kindred customer and get a gift every year, which I really appreciate. Please continue as you are Toast, your one of the very few online companies I have any faith in. You have no shops anywhere near me, so online is my go to and I always find something interesting to tempt me. Good website, with lots of ideas and news also make for some great ideas and reading.
I have been a Toast customer for some years now. I have always been impressed with the quality of their clothes and the ethics applied to their supply chain. My last purchases was a blouse and dress. Both a great fit and top quality cotton sourced from China and India. Arguably the best producers of cotton in the world. I know there is a downside to getting clothes which have so many air/sea miles but if the best producers are distant then I appreciate that Toast along with other good brands will foster business in those countries.
Amazing products, website and customer service. Products arrive carefully packaged, are good quality and as described/depicted on the Toast website. I love this company.

The clothes are really nice and high quality. I have ordered 4 items from TOAST over the last year with no problems, surprised to see that others have. Have used their free returns with no issues several times foo.

Honestly, avoid at all costs. Their Brighton store has potentially the worst customer service. Used to be a lovely weekend team there, and I was a regular, but the past few years have seen some people work at the store who I have often heard gossiping, leading me to shop online or taking my money elsewhere. The gossiping has also meant I have overheard a LOT about how the store and company is run, and I echo the reviews stating that the brand and its head office are clearly running an unsustainable and unethical business. I’ve visited other stores across the country and it seems to be the same story elsewhere. Poor staff probably just a result of a poor head office.

CEO talks a great story but don't be fooled by her assertions designed to influence opinion(s). Clothes designed in UK however, made in China, India, etc, (cheap labour), overpriced, profits before people - usual greed; not ethical or nice.

I have been buying from Toast for over 15 years and can whole heartedly say I have never had a problem. I can buy with confidence that my purchase is ethical with a real sense of fair play towards the producers of these lovely items. This is important to me. I also had the opportunity of listening to Suzie the CEO at a styling session in York. Her passion and belief in producing clothes/household items which will last and are given a new lease of life through renew and reworn initiatives. Not coming from the retail/clothing industry I had not appreciated just how cut throat the industry is. Toast cares, their staff are always helpful and how many clothing suppliers provide a free repair service. Speaks volumes. Thank you all staff at Toast for your care and providing such beautiful stylish items with a conscience x

I really wanted to purchase something from the Reworn collection using Paypal, however the checkout would not work properly. I refreshed and tried on both a laptop and phone to no avail. I then tried using Apple Pay and again no joy. I completely closed everything down and restarted, when I went back to the website the item was already gone. Please do not add Paypal or Apple Pay as options when they clearly do not work.
This is not the first time this has happened to me, also as other reviewers have mentioned sometimes you order a 'new' item only to find there isn't any stock available.

I REALLY wanted to love this brand. Abysmal experience from beginning to end. I recently ordered a dress and cardigan that I later was informed the cardigan was not even in stock. Then, they somehow managed to send me the cardigan I had previously been told was not in stock - AFTER I reordered it AFTER receiving a back in stock notification - I signed up for an email alert. So, then I had two of the cardigan. Since then I've emailed multiple times asking for return information and now they're ghosting me! Oh also the dress turned out to be out of stock too. Or so they said. Apparently the cardigan was never out of stock - it was the dress that was in fact out of stock, they said. When I replied that the dress was still showing as in stock in my size on their site - and suggested they update their clearly deeply flawed inventory tracking tool - they said they'd send it as they hadn't refunded the dress yet. THEN they immediately turned around and said oops we can't do that, so we're refunding you anyway, even though it's in stock and you ordered it you have to place a new order. They then offered me a 20% discount for the inconvenience. When I replied to customer service asking for a code or how to access that discount, they never replied. So now I have no dress and two cardigans and they're ghosting me when I try to return the duplicate they sent me. The hilarious icing on the cake is the patronizing (and I'm assuming AI unless they've truly hired the most incompetent customer service team in history) tone the few responses I've received have taken - even as I've cataloged each and every misstep and provided order numbers and screen shots, they have the audacity to tell me I'm the one that's confused. Never again.

I just read some of your reviews on line .
Ive been buying from Toast for 24 yrs . The quality is great . Its not expensive and the free post out and returns policy is far better than anywhere else . So all those people moaning about the prices need to stop cos they are being unrealistic . Check out the price of clothing on other websites that sell a similar type of look. Toast aint expensive . Why should someone in India work for nothing so someone in uk can buy a pair of trousers for under £50 . Ridiculous . So carry on Toast im a big fan .

I bought a nightdress which cost nearly 100 pounds. When I tried to open the packaging it was caught under the stitching of the package so I had to use scissors and ended up cutting into the fabric which was tangled underneath the knotted envelope string. Toast blamed me entirely. Spoke to me like I was a criminal and were so patronising and rude. I’ve bought from them in the past but their customer service is arrogant and rude. Would avoid buying again. Whoever is training their customer service teams is doing a dreadful job. As I can't work out how to reply to their reply- the reply below from Toast does not state how long I had to argue until they offered to repair and send back...which was pretty arduous.
