Very disappointing customer service from TOAST.

My VIBAe slippers developed sudden damage within 6–12 months of purchase, despite their £100–£200 price point. After raising my concerns, TOAST relied on its own Quality Control assessment and feedback from the supplier to refuse a refund, replacement or repair. However, it failed to provide a clear explanation of the findings supporting its decision.

Rather than offering a meaningful resolution, TOAST offered me 15% off a future purchase. This does little to address the issue with the product I already bought.

I expected better product durability and customer service from a brand at this price point. Disappointing and not an experience that inspires confidence in buying from TOAST again.

I hate to write this review as I align with many of this company’s values, but I feel their customer service could be greatly improved. I received a pair of pants that were faulty. The pocket was sewn incorrectly and was non functional. I was ultimately offered 20% off or a full refund once the pants were returned and inspected. This meant I would still be paying $240 for faulty pants (which is way too high in my opinion) or paying additional shipping fees to place a new order. For a company that stresses quality it just felt like more should be done when a customer receives a defective item.

I recently bought a jumper from Toast. It was expensive and I was unsure of the size which made me hesitate. However they offer a try before you buy service so I ordered 2 sizes and sent the item that didn’t fit back. Only then was I charged for the item I kept. The whole service from order to delivery, return of one item and final charge was slick and excellent. The jumper I kept is beautiful, wonderful quality. I would definitely buy from Toast again

Excellent quality artisan clothing using quality fabrics and designs that never go out of style.

I love TOAST's clothing and home goods, but I was disappointed when I spent time selecting items for a 20% discount offer, only to discover that it was for UK customers only. The restriction was stated at the bottom of the email, which I overlooked. Customer service responded promptly, and I appreciate that, but I wish the offer had made the restriction more noticeable.

I am deeply disappointed by how TOAST is handling the official government safety recall of their Organic Stripe Shower Curtain, which was recalled due to dangerous lead concentrations. This item was a Christmas gift purchased online on a joint credit card by my ex-husband (whom I am no longer in contact with). The original curtain arrived with a pull in the fabric, so he took it to the Lamb’s Conduit store a few days later to exchange it.

Because of this in-store exchange, the second recalled curtain does not have its own unique online order number. I have provided customer care with my official American Express bank statements showing the exact online purchase date, the subsequent in-store exchange transaction, and the matching amounts. Customer care sent me to the Richmond shop, but hadn't checked that only £3 was available for a refund because it was connected to the original curtain that was exchanged. So that was a complete waste of time, and I realised when I got home that it was insane that it was this difficult to return an item that has been recalled due to toxic levels of lead.

While the individual staff members I spoke with were friendly, the customer service has ultimately been entirely unhelpful. I expect far better from a premium brand like TOAST. I am completely fine with the refund going back to the original payment method, but TOAST is making it impossible to return an unsafe, toxic item simply because their till system can't link a physical exchange to an online order number. Forcing a consumer to jump through administrative hoops to get a hazardous product out of circulation is unacceptable.

Clothes are lovely. I’ve been buying from them for years, mostly sale as the RRP can be really steep despite the obvious quality.

Toast offer a Try Before You Buy service which is great and have a very friendly and helpful customer service. Their clothes are always very well made and they use lovely fabrics.

Kieth the young man who helped me was absolutely lovely and helped me immensely. I think toast clothing is on of the best on the market, never goes out of date and the quality is ten out of ten

Customer service were really helpful in sorting out an order that I hadn’t properly completed. Also good was try before you buy, as I find I am between a 14 and 16 depending on the garment.

I used the Harper try before you buy for my Toast items , it is a fantastic way to try building your capsule collection. As Toast sizes can be quite erratic on certain pieces was good to get to try them . A great service

Very straightforward. The clothes arrived, I tried them on, returned some using the free return service, and kept the ones I liked. It was particularly useful as the shop I was buying from is a long way from where I live.

Recently used their Harper try before you buy service on sale items. Very happy with experience. Do find their sizing confusing though. I ordered L with reference to their size guide and in reality I need a M. Something is off somewhere. Missing the customer reviews which help to decide on sizing

I do love TOAST items but their price point is often top heavy. I like the quality and items are good quality but prices are sometimes excessive which stops me purchasing more items. The style is classic,individual. I love the variety of choice .Definitely need to be mindful of excessively expensive items. Especially if similar quality items available elsewhere for better value.
