Hello Evelina and nice folks at TimberIN Because we were doing quite a few things to our house, we could only get electrics in and the sauna completed and commissioned today, after many months. We’re thrilled with it, proud of it and it makes the property here terribly special. It sits in a small wooded area just by the house, overlooking our Lough Derg below here in the West of Ireland which you can see if you blow it up…with guest horses peeking in the window…. and if you do blow up the photograph of the window looking out, you’ll see our stone circle and far below on the first island a 10th C round tower and ancient monastery–to become a UNESCO world heritage site soon. We couldn’t be more pleased and thought you’d enjoy–finally–seeing the sauna constructed with a couple of little additions. Many thanks

Misleading Photos, Shoddy Build Quality, and Appalling Customer Service – Avoid

We ordered a hot tub based on the beautiful photos and bold promises on the company’s website. What we received was something completely different: poorly constructed, unfinished, and full of issues that should never have passed even a basic quality check.

Here are just a few of the problems:

-The electrics cupboard has no wire access hole, is not hinged as advertised, and the door doesn’t fit—you need a screwdriver just to open it.
-The motor is mounted on an uneven plank of wood and propped up with a wedge to make it level.
-There’s no base??!! leaving insulation and wiring fully exposed to the elements (and insects).
-One of the metal tension bands is visibly uneven (we were told to move this ourselves??)
-The water release tap is installed below the base struts, so it ends up carrying the tub’s weight—completely unacceptable.
-The wooden rim surround, shown in nearly every one of their 160+ photos? Missing entirely.
-Several screws are inserted at visibly uneven angles.no care whatsoever.
The “Air” “light” and “Bubbles” weren’t on straight.
And then, it gets worse: the “final invoice” didn’t match what we were charged—we overpaid by £900. When we tried to raise these concerns, the company preemptively blocked our social media accounts before even responding. That’s not just unprofessional—it’s actively deceptive.

Returning the hot tub would be an enormous hassle, so we're stuck trying to fix their mistakes ourselves. We’ve offered reasonable solutions—like reimbursing us for repairs or they find a carpenter to fix—but no we were offered a £20 thermometer.

This company’s product does not match what they advertise. Their customer service is evasive at best, dishonest at worst. Save yourself the headache—look elsewhere! Definitely buy from the UK.
We are a small business so bought a second tub from Heaveny Hot tubs and it’s perfect!

just to reply to your comment below. The email dated 8 th of May from Leva you admit that the “final invoice” which has a delivery charge of 390 euros and total of 3864 Euros wasn’t actually the final invoice. “ THIS OPTION IS ONLY TO RECEIVE THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE MODEL YOU SELECTED”
(We paid another £900 on top)
Yes we did ask for a refund but you told us no.

As said many times The “final invoice” did not mention that you DO NOT unload the tub. After questioning you said it would be another £500 to get off the lorry. We said we would arrange a tractor to help us. The £900 was for VAT that wasn’t mention on the “final invoice” in my opinion final means total amount to be paid. Thanks!

You will go to the effort to threaten legal action, rather than admit the product isn’t up to par? You have received the photos and points but you offered a free thermostat as way of apology.
Your website is timberin.co.uk so it’s misleading that you are not a UK based company and you don’t make clear that you are in Lithuania and VAT will be added.
I won’t be bullied/threatened into removing my honest review. More reason not to do business with these people!

Update 21st July:
We spoke with the CEO directly on Friday 18th July, after he emailed us threatening to write "reviews" of us as customer against our own business unless we remove this review (he's never been our customer - this seems like blackmail). During the call he finally admitted faults with the product and offered €200 on condition we remove this review. We said no - we emailed him and his team on July 1st saying we no longer wanted contact nor his low level compensation. We maintained that line over Whatsapp, while he was messaging me at the weekend.

Since then he has written 'reviews' of us againt our business profile (not our business) attacking us personally and sharing our names publicly, as well as his wife writing a 'review' of us on Facebook. Looking at his Google reviews he has done this at least three times to other companies where he has not been a customer but has attacked his own customers (see here "Albert TimberIN MB" in Google)

Unbelievably poor behaviour from a CEO. I'm astonished. Happy that this review keeps staying at the top for fellow customers to see how this company works.

This company excells in customer service and communication but mostly important the quality of the product was incredible!

From start to finish Albertas and his team put me at ease and were extremely patient with me and all my questions!

Payment was so smooth and easy and the shipping was extremely quick. I told Albertas that my wife was going back to work after having a baby and he made sure we received the hot tub before she went back, incredible of him!

We chose TimeberIN to build a custom sauna for a new business venture. Our customers have fed back that the sauna is one of the best ones they've been too.

The process was relatively smooth and the end product was high quality with no defects. We were concerned around shipping due to having ordered from the UK and having the sauna imported. This part was surprisingly very smooth with support for import and speedy delivery with good communication and updates.

Due to location (seaside) we've made some modifications to help protect it from harsh weather.

We've been enjoying our Timberin Rojal tub for over two months now, and it's been nothing short of amazing. The sleek design adds a touch of elegance to our backyard, and its user-friendly features make it a joy to operate. The heating system works like a charm, keeping the water at the perfect temperature for a truly relaxing soak.

We bought a tub from them in 2024 for our tiny hotel in the French alps. The pre purchase was brilliant and we always received quick answers.
The tub looked beautiful and it still does 9 months later.
After a week of using the tub a local hot tub mechanic arrived to give us some directions to maintain it and to clean it. There were very limited instructions with the tub.
He asked us where the filter was. We said we didn’t know. He said there’s no filter in this tub. What!? We didn’t know that and we contacted Timberin. They said well you didn’t order a filter.
A filter is surely a necessary part of the hot tub? If we had been told it was separate we would have ordered it! It’s too late afterwards as the base is filled in so the filter would have to be separate from the tub, which is not the aesthetic we want. So weird.
We really don’t understand why they didn’t tell us to order the filter.
Then the screws in the base of the tub, screwing in the plug hole started to rust. We told Timberin quickly and they said they would send new screw. Months later a huge pile of about 50 screw arrived, screws we could buy in any shop.
The screws in the tub are completely rusted down and impossible to get out from above. We have to flip the tub and remove some of the foam and get them out that way. Timberin have not helped.
There is also cracking in the wood around the rim of the tub. We have added lots of wax and oil to protect it but it is still cracking. Timberin sent us some glue to fill in the cracks after a long wait. I guess they tried.
Basically the service is great at the beginning but the follow up isn’t very easy. Also make sure you order the filter as apparently it’s separate.

“1. Regarding the filter, yes, it is highly recommended, and most clients order it with the tub. You can choose the filter option with every model when making the order.”
Yes you told us this afterwards but not before, even though we were very clear about it being our first tub. It wasn’t explained to us. We don’t have unlimited water supply.

“2. We do send all the instructions per email and also regarding the maintenance and use, we have all the necessary answers in our blogs and FAQs.”
The instructions are very bad, sorry. They include information on so many different models it’s very hard to tell what applies. For instance we were sent info on how to use the filter which wasn’t installed.

3.” The screws that we use are made of 316 steel, however, if high dosages of salt are used it might cause rust.”

We have only ever used the exact products you told us to. To the correct quantities. The screws are now unchangeable due to rust.

4.” Regarding the wooden edge around the bath, yes, some cracks might be expected due to temperature and humidity changes. Especially in the wintertime. Wood is a natural material, indeed, it looks amazing but some movements must be anticipated, it is the same for every wooden construction like outdoor terraces etc..
To avoid this, one can order a bath with an edge made of fiberglass instead of wood, which would serve better longevity.”

Why doesn’t our wooden house have cracks in it? Because the wood has been treated correctly

The fantastic Timberin sauna arrived in the Scottish Highlands almost 2 years ago, and as you can see from the photos it continues to look brand new; a testament to your high standards in quality materials and professional workmanship.

Sauna is up and cooking!
It is top quality design built with quality material. Production took a little bit long - 3 months - apparently because of Xmas in the mix. I bought it as a kit and it was nicely packaged and swiftly delivered by one these light Polish or Romanian trucks. Building instructions were basically OK. Some pieces like the floor board and walls are very heavy ( 100’s kg) and require several people and/or smart equipment to manipulate. Result is great!.

Absolutely stunning pod sauna. Build quality is excellent: sturdy and lovely finish inside and out. The insulation is impressively effective- which filters out sound as well as keeping in the heat. All in all, this has exceeded all of my expectations, absolutely love it!

The Hot tub is of exceptional quality both the build and materials used. I was kept up to date of progress. Once delivery date was arranged I was informed as the Hot tub was transported across Europe and into the U.K and on the day of delivery driver gave me heads up 1hr before drop of.

We fell in love with wood fired hot tubs after experiencing one on a glamping weekend so we wanted one of our own. We did our research and Timberin had just what we wanted. Communication was great during the purchasing process. Also provided a swift turn around from ordering to delivery. Also Albert was great at offering advice while we set it up on our patio after delivery. I think we will be seeing a lot more of our family as they seem to enjoy the hot tub experience.

The sauna ordered is great and we are very pleased with it. Delivery was fast, communication extremely good. Slight downsides: we could not get delivered as built where we live in rural Ireland so builder/electrician, working on our house, built from pallet delivery. The English instructions aren't always clear, and some extra wood slatting/parts included confused as no explanation. In Ireland where it's very wet, consider using silicone sealant at edges for protection. Note on the cement board behind/beneath the burner we added tiles as looks a bit better. The instructions for assembly need to clearer, although all questions answered quickly. All in all, though, the sauna is well constructed and looks great on our property.
