Recently purchased fillet steak strips pork belly and lamb chops all tasted amazing great price and the delivery was spot on (even during the very hot weather) all items were delivered chilled as you would expct

I keep going back so there’s obviously a lot they’re doing right.
I’ve ordered a variety of items over this last 6 months and have not been disappointed.
Always good quality and tasty produce.

I responded to their email offering 20% discount if I signed up. I was told I would be sent a code to receive the discount but none came. I contacted them and was told I had to sign up. I told them I had and was told it must have gone to the junk mail. It had not. I told them this and they went suspiciously quiet. Didn’t hear from them again. I’m not sure there is a discount at all!

The meat is excellent and the dispatch is super quick. The only downside is you sent me an email saying don't forget to add things to your order which you then don't make it easy to be able to edit the order. You have to then go through a manual process to add these things on. Which also meant I didn't get my introductory discount on those items I then decided to add

Everything I've received so far has been very fresh, and delicious. I'm used to buying meat from supermarkets, and the difference in the quality is amazing.

I ordered £90 worth of venison & this was my second order with the company. 1st order came with lots of frozen blocks and survived the high heat without thawing. The second order was for the same quantity & came with just two frozen blocks which meant the order was fully thawed when it arrived. Contacted customer services who said they were within their terms and conditions, when I questioned why they had reduced the mount of frozen blocks they said their team would have packed what was appropriate. They did not accept that their packaging had not been appropriate on this occasion & just said they would pass feedback on. When I said I would have to use another supplier they offered 10% off my next order which obviously I cannot use as their packaging is not consistent. If you are ordering large amounts of meat or tempted to order more to get over the transport costs then just be aware it will not always arrive highly chilled or nearly frozen.

The two cooked hams we ordered were great value and really delicious, so moist and tasty. Great service from all the team but suggest you change delivery company.

Bought 2 pies and they have been delivered from a 3rd party company and the ingredients are worse than you would get from a supermarket. Phone number doesn’t work. Quality of these pies are very questionable

I have been a loyal customer of The Village Butchers for a long time, which makes this experience particularly disappointing.

My most recent order included pork ribs that had very little meat on the bone. I contacted customer services by email, expecting the issue to be resolved, but was simply told that the product was "within our specification and meets our quality standards." No refund, replacement, or any other form of goodwill was offered.

As a result, I have been left scrambling to find replacement ribs at short notice for a BBQ tomorrow.

What disappoints me most is not just the quality of the product, but the complete lack of customer care when a genuine concern was raised. After many previous orders, I expected a far better response.

Unfortunately, this experience has lost my trust, and I won't be ordering from The Village Butchers again. As this is an online butcher, you are buying without seeing the product beforehand, so if you're unhappy with what arrives, my experience suggests you shouldn't assume the company will offer a refund or replacement. That lack of confidence in their after-sales service means I cannot recommend them.

Great quality meat and arrived quickly, well packaged in chilled packaging. Couldn't fault it.

Delivery due today, been told it won’t arrive today, why let me choose a delivery date and charge me nearly £10 for delivery if you can’t guarantee the date you say you will, should be made crystal clear when ordering. Update - arrived now. Meat was warm when it arrived……to be fair looked like it would have been nice and refund offered.

TVB AHHHHH.... is definitely 110% my favoute and recommend over a lot of places near me.... They have great prices and a good selection of different meats and deals.... the QUALITY of meats are 110% everything always turns up fresh and nicely packed, BUUT for me the BEEF SHORT RIB ENDz are to diieeee for especially on the B.B.Q WITH A LIKKLE SESSIONING..... the delivery is AMAZING always on time most of the time it's early so thumbs for me, they respond to emails quickly incase you have any enquiries or something specific..... definitely 110% will recommended DON'T WASTE your TIME WITH THESE NASTY (SUPERMARKET'S). I've made QUIIIIITE a few orders now and everything is amazing every tiime. A good review for a good shop, so dont stop please, will be ordering again soon..... I just need my licence so I can go there in person :)GW(:
