Awful, unprofessional & uncaring service

Awful, unprofessional service with incompetent staff. Key details were repeatedly mishandled, leading to delays and financial loss on our part. The agent refused to take any responsibility and refused to release us from their contract, effectively trapping us in an agreement while they were at fault.

A professional, well-respected agent should act in the best interest of their client, but in this case, the opposite happened. We felt ignored, misled and financially impacted by their lack of care, knowledge and accountability.

I would strongly advise others to think twice about using the Property Centre in Gloucester. There are much better services available.

The property centre dealt with both our sale and purchase and they made the whole process so easy! They handled everything and were always professional, accommodating and informative. They really took the stress out of the selling process.

Lovely Oscar

Oscar was not only professional but really honest and patient. Had a few bad experiences with estate agents and he gave me faith again. Let’s hope he can get our offer across the line. Thanks Oscar, you were brilliant.

We have just completed a one-year…

We have just completed a one-year tenancy with Property Centre, and unfortunately, my experience has been deeply disappointing. Throughout the tenancy, it became clear that they consistently took the landlord’s side in every situation, showing little to no regard for the tenant’s rights or concerns.

Whenever issues arose, my perspective was dismissed, and I often felt treated unfairly. Communication was one-sided — they acted more like the landlord’s personal representatives rather than impartial agents. By the end of the tenancy, they appeared determined to find any excuse to withhold my deposit, even for matters that were clearly normal wear and tear.

This behaviour left me feeling discriminated against and unsupported throughout my stay. Renting should be a fair and transparent process, but my experience with Property Centre was the exact opposite. I would strongly advise potential tenants to proceed with extreme caution.

Amazing, helpful and reliable staff

The Property Centre staff Taunton Somerset letting are amazing, helpful and realiable especially Beau one of their staff.

Beau is competent in his work, hardworking staff, genuinely dedicated staff to his work, knows what he’s doing, no partial, follows company’s protocols.

I will recommend Property Centre letting to friends and families because of Beau.

The references was great, always available to listen and hear customers out, always willing to help when necessary.

Phone conversations was superb, willing to assist.
Twinkle of an eye, every check and documentation got done and I had the house (letting).

Beau is very good, speaks softly to customers, very respectful and calm at his work no rushing, every of his work is perfect and lovely 🥰

Beau is a good staff, I will like to give him 5 stars🌟 because with him in this position in the company, the company will progress and move forward.

After a good start to our experience in…

After a good start to our experience in terms of selling our house it quickly went downhill. Trying to get accurate updates and a proactive approach to contacting relevant parties in our sale was very, very difficult to the point that my wife had to undertake this task on a daily basis. Constantly fobbed off and no real drive to support - we ended up giving them updates, which is surely wrong based on how much they were being paid. On the day of our move we had issues with the banking system, which caused some major stresses. They did not seem that bothered or willing to help. Again, we took it upon ourselves to try and sort, with the Estate Agent of the house we were buying driving things forward. If fact, our lead contacts at the Property Centre disappeared for the afternoon when we needed them most. I would strongly recommend avoiding the marketing and sales tactics they adopt, as you will end up very, very disappointed at the end of your experience.

DISAPPOINTING

Richard Refused to let a property because they said it was a dirty trade but then accepts another company who’s also a dirty trade. Exactly the same business as ours. Avoid this company! They are completely incompetent and accept anyone when it suits them. AVOID.

Left out various important details on…

Left out various important details on their write up about the house, including £5k of work done to the outside, and the extra parking space , 21 ft which would fit a caravan or motorhome. I also believe that they were asking people who viewed the house to give it a value. No offer to do an open house. Viewer put a hole in our kitchen ceiling. Lack of effort/ motivation on their part.

Poor experience

Poor experience. We listed our property for sale. During a visit from a potential buyer we discovered they had damaged our property. We raised this with TPC who were not interested in the feedback, and confirmed they had watched the potential buyer cause the damage. We had to pay ourselves to get a builder to resolve the issue.

Gave notice to leave them, and they just offered to stop marketing us, and gave us the keys back immediately, they did not push back, they just let us go.

Disappointing.

Mark Holford is an aggressively pushy…

Mark Holford is an aggressively pushy EA, very off putting and wouldn't shut up trying too hard to sell a property even when confronted about it. Mate, I can see the stairs have carpet, you don't need to tell me.

Dawn Meikle is cold, blunt and unpersonable, stopped talking to me, nor put anything in writing for the duration of the sale after picking up on a communication breakdown that had a major effect on our sale timeline.

Last agent, no idea of her name just spent the entire viewing making weird comments about the property, making stupid giggles and seemed perplexed that we were going to live in the house.

There was an agent who did our second viewing, only does Saturdays but was by and far the best one we had, honest, let us get on with what we needed, obviously had an I.Q. above room temperature too.

Wouldn't use to sell, won't buy another property marketed by them. There's a reason why you regularly see sold signs with the property centre become for sale signs from another EA.

Seriously rude people

Seriously, rude people.they are even getting there staff leaving reviews on here to make this one lower. Photos taken in 1st days of my tenancy, mould hid behind food cuboards in kitchen and Landlord apparently won't do any work on a house full of damp behind kitchen cupboards and in all rooms. They painted over it. Now 2 months in soon as I ask for repairs they talk to me like crap landlord won't spend a penny apparently oh and they refused free work to remove the cavity installation that is causing the damp That's an 8k job done for free refused. They called the council to saynod be calling them and to slag me off they also tried to obtain my social workers number to sabatarge my fostering application when I refuse to give them the number then they then told me i can have anyone else in this house even though theybwas fully aware i was going to foster a child before i paid deposit!! Social will tell me if they get a call, and I will be taking legal action. They have already broken gdpr by calling people on my behalf to slag me off and cancel jobs the council were doing for free.
I urge you all to make a complaint to the council and the property omnibusman as there are so many people all saying the same as me if you read the reviews. Ian, the boss, is useless and won't take complaints unless you do a formal complaint with a 15-day reply notice on. If you're living in mould like me, log everything. See the doctor often to check on your health as mould is seriously bad for you, and I have 1 lung and all the staff are fully aware of that also.AND MOST IMPORTANTLY
SEEK LEGAL ADVICE

No one showed up and poor customer service

Was interested in viewing a property and initially really good customer service and very pleasant people. However, turned up to view a property and no one showed up. After ringing and explaining that we were waiting at the property to view, they said that they would find out what’s happening and ring me straight back. I heard nothing from them so left the premises and never heard anything more from them… do they want to sell properties?

Wouldn't choose any other estate agent than the property centre

Amazing experience going with the property centre. We dealt with Simon Robinson who worked so hard in selling our house. Simon was always very polite and lovely to deal with. Simon showed total respect to our home and always saw to it that buyers removed their shoes.
Simon communicated regularly with us and sold our property within 2 weeks for a price we were happy with.
Thank you Simon it has been a total pleasure.

Very poorly managed rentals

Recently moved out of rental property managed by property centre in Taunton. Our property was originally rented with Richard Gibbins but then handed over to the property centre for rentals.
We have had nothing but bad service from them. They have held our deposit as the land lady was not happy with the garden in a residential area known for poor soil/gardens especially in winter months. on the inventory it was written that the garden is acceptable for this time of year however the landlady disagreed and proposed we pay for re seeding. We as tenant felt this was unfair if the letting agency had agreed this was ok for time of year. They made us wait for quotes for this regardless this took 3 weeks. They pressured us to have viewings whilst we were moving out which we felt was unfair. We are still waiting for our deposit and we moved out in November. Every time we ring we are put through to answer phone or people are always in meetings. We get promised a call back and they never do call back. We feel this is really poor communication and has been managed very poorly. they have already re rented the property we moved out of and we are still waiting for our deposit and had to pay deductions from it even though there is tenants already moved in to. really unhappy with the service. Do not recommend.

Always happy to help

Quick sale and a shout out to the 2 Dan's who were always on hand to assist.
As ever, a pain with solicitors but all good in the end. Recommend you search for your own solicitor as I didn't even speak to mine in 4 months!!

The Property centre in Quedgeley…

The Property centre in Quedgeley marketed a 4 property which clearly stated that the property had no onward chain. This suited us perfectly as we were looking to make a quick purchase. We offered 2K over the asking price to ensure that we would be able to acquire.
When we got close to completion, and after spending money on surveys and solicitors fees it turns out that the property did indeed have a chain. The Property Centre then casually dropped this into a conversation about 2 weeks before completion and stated that the seller would vacate whether their purchase was ready or not. Unfortunately this was never the intention and a no chain purchase would have ended up taking at least 8 months.
This of course completely ruined our plans and has no doubt had a horrible effect on the poor folks attempting to buy our house who have given notice on their rental property.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE IF YOU REQUIRE HONEST AND UPFRONT AGENTS.
BE WARY OF BOGUS NO CHAIN CLAIMS
AT BEST THIS WILL END UP COSTING YOU A FORTUNE IN FEES AND SURVEYS.
AT WORST YOU COULD END UP HOMELESS AS A RESULT OF SHADY DEALINGS.
I would like to add that the Sales Progressor has been as helpful as possible, but has been hung out by the idiots above who are never available for any sort of discussion.
